Oh, the pain in Sapphire’s body as her body twisted into SOMETHING. What it was, she had no idea. It was just another night outside, and Ruby had left The house too. What would happen if she found out? Right after she “shifted” into whatever, Sapphire sneezed. Out came some kind of mist that seemed to create frost on the grass. Weird. There was nothing to do here, so the lake might be the best place to go. When she arrived at the lake, there were two “things” on the ground. One was red and the other was green, both knocked out. The red one was about twice the size of the green, and had two large wings on the back. It had four legs, and the green had four legs too. However, instead of two wings, this green beast had six, and the size of each one was the same size of those of the red. They both had tight, woven scales, and the green one had feathers in certain places, specifically at the back of the head and tip of the tail. It also had a frill that could expand a lot. The red one just had two horns at the back of its head. Before any of them could wake up, sapphire just had the INSTINCT to jump into the water. When she saw her reflection, she was stunned. She was like the others, but covered in white and blue feathers, in a mystifying pattern, indescribably beautiful. As Sapphire dived in, the cold water did not seem to bother her, and she felt as if she could stay underwater forever. When the sun rose, however, Sapphire turned back into a human, yet still somehow being able to breath underwater. She waited until the other two had left, but could not get a good glimpse of either of them in their human forms.
When Sapphire got home, Ruby was waiting there, probably a lot on her mind. “Hey Ruby, what happened to you last night?” I was looking all over for you!”
“Oh. I was just... at the lake,” Ruby responded.
One thing: if Ruby was being honest, she was one of the two things at the lake. Of course, there was no proof of the truth. Sapphire just decided to keep her mental notes to herself. Better when the truth is revealed than to reveal what happened to her last night.
