Three months ago...
“Why did you get hurt?!” Seungtae asked. Yeona had a black eye and a broken arm, and a few bruises.
“I got into a fight and someone ambushed me from behind.” Yeona replied calmly.
“Why were you in a fight?”
At this question, Yeona looked down. “He said, ‘I never did like that Seungtae Woo. He’s so self-righteous, and nobody likes him. He should’ve died already along with Daewi Han and Yeona Jin.’”
“You shouldn’t have fought him just because of something he said. It doesn’t hurt anyone.” Seungtae said.
“I couldn’t just let him mouth off about my friends.” Yeona looked at him coldly.
“It’s not up to you to decide.” Seungtae argued, looking frustrated.
“I don’t care!” Yeona shook her head quickly, the motion causing her to wince because of her arm. “I don’t understand! Most people would be happy that their friend got into a fight for them.”
“Yeona-” Seungtae started to say something, but then started to say something else. “Don’t do that. It doesn’t make anyone happy.”
“Guess now I know that you won’t be grateful when I try to help you.” Yeona paused for a moment. “Maybe it would have been better if you died.”
Seungtae looked stunned for a moment, then his face hardened. “Go.”
Yeona was stunned by what she said as well. “Huh?”
“Leave. I don’t want to see you.”
Yeona’s eyes widened, hurt shown clearly in her eyes. Coldly, Yeona replied. “Fine.” She walked out the door and slammed it behind her, as she heard Seungtae’s coughs behind her.
Seungtae was coughing hard, and once he was finished, he slumped against his bed with a sigh.
“You didn’t have to do that, you know.” Daewi said, who was quiet until now.
“I know.” Seungtae sighed. Unnoticed to him, tears were dripping down his face. Once one tear dripped onto his hand, he looked confused. “Huh? Am I...crying?” Once he realized this, he started crying full-out. Daewi put a hand on his back.
“Are you okay?”
“I....I......It hurts so much, she said I’d be better off dead.” Seungtae sobbed. “I thought we were friends.”
“I know, I know.” Daewi patted Seungtae’s back.

Yeona ran into the house, biting back tears.
“Yeona? What’s wrong?” Mori asked as he saw her.
“Nothing! Leave me alone!” Yeona ran into her private area of the apartment and started sobbing quietly.
“Why did I say that?” She whispered. “He was only concerned for me.”
Little did Seungtae and Yeona know, that they were both thinking the same thing at the same moment-
'Why?'
