“Your happiness ends here” 

“HEY JASPER!” My sister Rachel says to me, shaking me awake “we’re here!”

She points out the tiny window of the airplane showing the Statue of Liberty. “I didn’t know the statue was THAT big!” Rachel squealed “ are you listening? You awake?” She she said gripping my sleeve shaking me constantly. “Yes YES Stop that!” I say pushing Rachel off me. “Ok OK. Not so pushy” Rachel says as we land “HEY NEW YORK CITY!!”

“We’ve now landed in New York City. The current time is 5:35pm. I hope you enjoyed your flight in Delta airlines” the flight attendant says to everyone as they get ready to depart the airplane. Rachel and I grab our backpacks under the seat and put it on. “ I hope you join us again” the attendant says to us on our way out.

When we leave the airplane a gust of New York summer heat hits me and Rachel. “OH MAN! ITS SoO warm!” Rachel Cries out “ WAY more than Canada!” As we enter the New York airport I hear my phone ringing inside my pocket. “Hi aunt Emily!!” I say to my aunt over the phone. “Hello jasper” she says sounding sad but happy “ I just realized I don’t have any room for you since I have some guest over..” oh no. Where are we going to stay? “HUH where are we supposed to stay? The dirty dump?” Rachel says to her snatching my phone. “Haha no!” Aunt Emily says to us giggling “I got you two rooms at a hotel made for kids called HAPPINESS HOTEL” happiness Hotel? “THAT SOUNDS CHEESY” Rachel grumbled “ did you have to pay a lot to get us a room?” Rachel asks “I didn’t waste a penny on you too! I entered your names in a lottery and you guys got lucky and won! Only 19 kids got into the hotel for free! It’s supposed to be super nice and friendly. They have a restaurant as well, it’s called... something menu I think. I hope you guys have a nice time at the hotel” aunt Emily says happily. “Wow thanks!” I say. “ now go along and call me TOMORROW ok?” She says to me. “Ok” I respond. “GREAT! I will see you two tomorrow. Have a goodnight!” She says. “ OK GOODNIGHT AUNTY” Rachel calls out hanging up the phone.

Me and Rachel get a taxi ride over to happiness Hotel and check into our hotel room, 25 on the second floor. 

“Aunt Emily wasn’t kidding! THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL, it’s so nice and friendly!” Rachel says flopping down on her pink bed’ “yes it is” I agree “what do you want to do know?” Rachel thinks for a moment then says “ I have no idea on wha-“ she doesn’t finish her sentence when she notices strange gas coming from the vents “um.. WHATS THAT?!” Rachel sits up and looks suspiciously at the gas. “I-I don’t know.” I start coughing violently  and so does Rachel  “it’s... gonna..be ok...” I take one more glimpse of Rachel before we both pass out.

After who knows how long I wake up “ugh.. what just happened?” I say rubbing my eyes, waking up “ Rachel..?” I look around the hotel room “um.. Rachel are you around?” No one responds just a quiet room. “.. something’s off here..” I say to myself still looking all around for Rachel. I spot a mini tv on the wall. It has 1 button on it that says ‘help’ “hey. This wasn’t here before?” I press the button but nothing happens, I press it 6 more times but it doesn’t turn on or anything. Oh well. 

“RACHEL!!” I call out once more but of course no response. I sat down on Rachel’s bed. It was cold so I stood up and felt my bed which was warm from when I was laying down on it. Where had Rachel gone?

I reach into my pocket to text my aunt to see if Rachel has gone to her house but instead I pulled out a.. Jojo 2000 phone? It wasn’t my apple phone. “How do you turn this on?” I saw trying to find the on switch but I couldn’t so I put it back in my pocket because why not.

Where is Rachel? Did I misplace my phone somewhere? Did I always have a jojo 2000? Was there always that tiny tv screen on my wall? um... where were the windows? What was that strange gas? I had so many questions but no answers.

“HELP!” I hear a girls voice calling out in the hallway “SOMEONE HELL ME PLEASE!!” I open my door to see a girl with dirty blonde hair parted into 2 ponytails running down the hall way. She stopped as soon as she saw me and stared at me with her light blue eyes. She look so scared. “ MY BROTHER! He’s gone! After that funny gas knocked us down I hadn’t see him anywhere! Is Lukas with you? Have you seen him maybe..?” She desperately asks me. “No sorry I haven’t see your broth-“ I pause for a moment. She lost her sibling to?! “ MY SISTER! She disappeared as well!!” I say to her. The short girls eyes open up widely. “No way!?”She says in a panic “ has someone kidnapped them? call the police!!”  “But I only got this jojo 2000..” I day showing her it. “AUGH ME TOO. It don’t work though. HEY YOU BOY OVER THERE, DO YOU HAVE A PHONE!!” She shouts at a tall boy with black hair and blue eyes walking out of his room “ DO YOU HAVE A PHONE?!” Her shouts must have started him because he has a worried look on his face “um. No I’m s-sorry” he responds shyly “... have you guys seen my brother and sister..?” He too? “No sorry.” I say to him “ why would someone take away our siblings but not us? Ugh I wish my aunt hadn’t won this hotel for us. Even if it was free.” The girl and boy look at me suprised “ I did to” they say at the same time. “Huh that funny”I say to them smiling faintly “what are your guys names?” They girl looks up at me and smiles broadly “ IM AMY!” The tall boy gives me a shy smile and says “Jermany. What’s yours..?” “ my names jasper. Now let’s see if there’s anyone else in here” I say looking around. “ perhaps they might have there siblings kidnapped as well.” Amy says also looking around “ let me see if there is anyone else” then she shouts out “ HELLLLLLOOOOO?! ANYONE THERE?!?! IF SO COME OUT IN THE HALLS!!” Me and jermany look bewildered by the sudden scream but it seemed to be working out because some teenagers slowly started coming out from their rooms. “Is something wrong?” A girl just a little taller than Amy says. She has black hair all combed into a big bun on top of her head tied with a scrunchie. She looked worried through her glasses. She then says “ oh wait! Are you guys worried about that strange mist! I know I am!” “Uh-huh and mine and their siblings all have disappeared” I say to her. Her face frowns “ oh no that’s terrible! I don’t have a sister or brother so I don’t know how sad you must feel” she said sadly. “MY BROTHER PATRICK VANISHED!” Said a girl with long brown hair and glasses “ AND I have this weird phone” she holds up a jojo 2000. “ my eight year old sister is gone too!!” A short boy with light blue hair and glasses calls out. A boy with light brown shoulder length hair says “ me and my brother are still together?”  Everyone looks toward the two boys who just happen to be twins. Amy looks at them really amazed “ OH WOW! I’ve never seen twins in real life before! Haha he looks so grumpy!” Amy says pointing at the twin with the same length hair as jermany. The first twin smiles “ yeah he’s ALWAYS like that. Also my name is Ashton and my brother here is Asher. It’s nice to meet you!” “ it’s nice to meet you as well. What’s the rest of your names?” I say glancing at everyone. “I’m jackey” the girl with the bun and glasses says. “ Sophie here!” The long brown haired girl says to me. “ my name is Jamie” the short boy with blue hair says happily. “ hi I’m luke” a boy shorter than me with a oversized yellow sweater on says. “Morgan.” The shortest boy with brown almost black hair says to us. “Avery..” a very tall girl says quietly to us, she looks taller than jermany. Wow. “IM CLARA! One of the lucky winners who got a free room here!” A pretty girl with blonde hair says to us kindly. Everyone here stares at her suprised “ I did to” we all say at the same time. “That’s weird.. we ALL won?” I say confused. “I guess so.” A girl with blonde hair and a cat ear head band says to me crossing her arms “I’m Sahara by the way” I smile down at her “ nice to meet you Sahara.” “SooO we all won that lottery thing and got some stolen siblings..?” Amy say look up at the ceiling then back at us “ do we have anything else in common?” Sophie looks like she’s thinking real hard “uhhh I’m wearing clothes and so are you..? I’m Uh.. 15?” She blurts out. Everyone peers at Sophie. “Hey me to!” Amy calls out.
