CHAPTER 13 (Part 1)

~Kayle's POV~

My name is Kayle An Theodore, the only son and heir to the An Theodore marquis family. My father is known to be a workhalic and my mother is very sickly.

I don't have any siblings to play with so my parents decided to let me play with boys my age. Growing up, I realized that my interests to others is not the the same which made me think that I don't want to play with boys.

Are you wondering about my interest? I love clothes and girly ones too! I love how frilly and decorative a dress can! Boys can only have small designs and almost have the same ones as the other clothes.

So I told mother that I want to play with girls. I met some girls my age but all of them left me since they say that I'm weird for liking feminine things. My maternal cousin, Delie who was in the same age as me when I was five was sent to play with me.

Instead of her convincing me that I should wear boy clothes and do boy stuffs like how my previous playmates told me so. She told me how cool I was when I try coordinating some dresses to her. It was fun playing with her but everything changed when she brought another girl to play with us.

"Kayle look! I brought someone!"

She was just some random girl but Delie looks so happy so I decided to play with her. Although I admit that I was jealous.

We don't have any problem playing with each other until I overheard the same random girl talking about Delie with the others. I don't have any interest remembering her name so I just call her random girl.

"I hate to say this but Delie is reallyyyy annoying, right?"

"Yeah! I don't want to play with her anymore!"

"My mommy only told me to play with her because of a business deal with daddy!"

They were talking badly about her. Even though I was only five, we are already aware if someone is talking bad about another person.

One day, that annoying girl came with Delie again and smiling like she didn't talk ill about her. So I decided to prank her, I also do that to Delie but she only cries but forgives me anyway.

I put a lot of cockroaches on her toys to frighten her and for saying bad things about my cousin. She saw the cockroaches and screams.

"Kyaaaa!! Noooo!"

She throws the toys that has cockroaches on it and cries.

"Wait! Don't go!"

Delie tries to stop her from leaving but the annoying girl just shouted at her.

"I don't want to play with you anymore!!! I'm telling daddy!"

Then the annoying girl storms out of the room. Delie becomes silent so I went to her.

"Don't touch me! When I thought that I finally have a friend, you ruined it! I don't want to play with you anymore!"

I froze on the exact place where I'm standing. I saw Delie running away from me, she didn't come back again. After that I began being a troublemaker and wearing girl clothes to annoy people hoping that maybe Delie might come back again.

I hope and hope...but Delie...I've always want to ask you that day...

Wasn't I your friend too?

After a few years of not having contact with Delie, I was surprised to know that she'll be visiting again.

Now then...why don't I try pranking her? Maybe she'll cry again and really don't come back. You made a mistake coming back.

Heh.

I'm looking at the upside down Delie today, she looks surprised to see me like it is the first time she met me. Her aura is really weird too like she became a different person.

"How are you 'hanging' there, dear cousin?"

I asked her with a smile waiting for her to cry.

"You...put me down now or I'll punch you!!!"

I was a bit surprised by her response. She usually cries and beg me to put her down but now she looks very angry. I can even see some of her veins popping out.

"Punch me? How?"

"Oh you'll see! Get me down now!!"

She tries shaking off the rope and I can see it loosing the knot. Is she serious? She'll hurt herself!

"Hey!!"

I quickly teleported at the place where Delie was suppose to fall which made her fall to me. I became her human cushion so she won't get hurt.

"It hurts...so heavy"

I whispered as she sits in my back with my face facing the grassy ground.

"Oh! I'm free!"

She quickly stood up and jump.

"So?"

I looked at her. She looks my way like she's about to cry.

Oh? Is she finally going to cry? Will she tell mother that I'm being mean to her? Alright, cry and tell me that I'm bad like how you did when we were five.

"Kayle...I..."

She goes to me like she's about to weep. I knew it, she'll hate me again.

"You little twerp!!!"

She punches me right into my face which made me sit down on the ground with one of my hands touching my red swollen cheek that she punched.

Whattttt?!

~Delie's POV~

His eyes widen after I gave him a punch of a lifetime. Why does he look so shocked? Of course I'll punch him after doing that to me! I told him so!

"You...you should be crying!"

Ah, he thinks that I'll cry because of that?

"What's happening?"

We turn to look at the two familiar voice that we heard. It was Sara and the butler earlier!

"Young master?"

"Ron!"

Errr...I punched him...darn it

I'll get scolded.

...

"Hahaha, that was a bit funny"

The marchioness laughs softly when she saw her son with a bandage on his cheek and me looking down because I'm feeling bad after I realized that I punched him only because I'm furious.

We told him what happened and the reason why Kayle has a bruise on his cheek.

"I'm so sorry, marchioness"

I bow repeatedly and apologize over and over again.

"Don't be! Kayle needs someone to knock some sense into him! This boy has been spoiled a lot"

She pats Kayle's head but Kayle only scowls.

"I knew it, you've changed Delie! You are becoming like my sister!"

She laughs again. Was that supposed to be a compliment? Am I supposed to be happy that I'm being compared to my She-Ogre mother?

"And Kayle, why don't you wear your clothes and stop playing dress up for a while"

The marchioness told her son. Kayle just nodded and went to his room to change his clothes.

"Why don't you two have a snack? I'll tell the maids to prepare some"

My aunt called out some maids to prepare some sweets and tea to us. I sat on the chair of the small round table with a lot of sweets and tea.

"Hey"

Kayle went to sit in my front facing me. Well, this table is only for two people.

"Wait, your long hair earlier wasn't natural?"

His turquiose long hair earlier is now short and a bit curly. He is also wearing clothes for young boys now.

"That's obviously a wig, I only like to dress up but whenever I go out of our manor or have a visitor then I wear normal boy clothes"

"I see..."

While I'm here eating the chocolate cake that they prepared for us, I can't help but notice how good-looking he is. He doesn't look like a boy because of how he acts and dress earlier. He even lifts his pinky finger when drinking his tea and is very good in etiquette.

"Are you going to punch me again?"

He asked me with his eyes closed and patting his handkerchief in his mouth gracefully.

"No"

I answered him before I ate the last piece of chocolate cake. He noticed that I have been staring at him and acts like he doesn't know.

I also noticed that he didn't touch his cake at all.

"Aren't you going to eat that?"

I pointed at the chocolate cake on his small plate.

"No, it's bad for our diet...why?"

"Can I have it?"

My eyes sparkled as I ask him that question.

"Sure?"

"Alright!"

I quickly stood up and reach for his chocolate cake to eat it.

"Mmmm~! So good!"

"..."

He narrows his eyes on me as I was savoring the flavor of the cake.

"Ah! I'm sorry, do you want some after all?"

I asked him. Maybe he is angry I took all of his cake.

"No, you really changed...before you didn't want to eat a cake nor even touch one since you told me that you'll gain weight and now..."

Is Delie really that strict on her diet? Poor her, she doesn't know the taste of these delicious foods.

"I realized that I need to eat more to grow a lot!"

That's a lie.

"I see..."

After that, there's another long awkward silence.

"Ummm...may I ask why you said that I don't want to play with you anymore?"

I see his hand flinched a bit with my question. He gave me a serious look.

"Did you have an amnesia or something?"

He raised one of his eyesbrows like he is being suspicious of me.

"I just don't remembering anything..."

Besides, Delie was only five at that time. Even I can't remember what I was doing when I was younger.

"Then let me make you remember"
