Issac about died when Ink's voice purred promises that the vlogger knew the tattooed man didn't really mean. But, damn, was it hot. Was this man really straight?! Issac looked away as Ink broke eye contact and struggled to get himself under control. He wanted to push Ink down and taste that colorful skin. He wanted to- Ice broke off that line of thought and started his mantra inside his head. Straight. Straight. Straight.
Nikolbk: Anyone else feel like you could cut the sexual tension with a knife? Lol
MaxieMo: Me! This is better than a BL. Hehehe!
Snickerdoodle: +1!
AridSky: +2
The pluses went on and on until they reached over one-hundred before Issac had managed to wrestle his libido into control. He shifted uncomfortably on his chair, cleared his throat, and gave a sheepish grin to his camera. “Enough teasing you lot. It's time for an adventure! Who is going with us to Urie's Dungeon?”
Urie's Dungeon wasn't the actual name. It was Evermourn Hold Dungeon. Urie was the old mage king who lived in the castle. The dungeon was at the very bottom of the castle at the end of a catacomb. Everyone had dubbed it after the mage king, who first sent you there to clear out the enemy assassins and monsters who had infested the place.
Ice received a landslide of comments begging to go. “Okay, let's do this the right way. I'll send a link to you all. Anyone who wants to join Ink and me on our crawl, just click the link and enter your name. Six names will be drawn to go with us. You have to be max level to join because we're going with the usual balls to the wall extreme mode.”
Dungeons could be played on easy (noob) mode, intermediate, hard, and extreme modes. Each level made it harder and harder to clear the dungeon. The higher the mode, the better the treasure. With Ice being maxed on his levels, it would be a waste of time to run the lower modes. Besides, he wanted to know precisely what this flirtatious bodyguard of his was capable of in the game.
While he waited for the viewers to enter the “contest,” Ice invited AyeByte to the group. A group in Fantasy Tavern Online could consist of two to eight people. Raid groups had nine to thirty people, but Raids were much more massive scale dungeons that couldn't be cleared with just a few people.
“When we go in, do you want to be the leader?” Ice asked as he looked at Ink.
Ink shook his head, “Nope, this is your rodeo. I'm just one of the clowns. Go easy on me.”
The man spoke so seriously, but there was a sparkle in those dark blue eyes that let Issac know that Ink was pulling his leg.
“Right,” Ice said, stretching out the word as he rolled his eyes.
Before Markus could expound on how innocent he was, Issac switched his attention back to the audience. “Okay, it is time to let the RNG gods choose the victims!” Ice clicked the button on the random name-giver app that he used to make his life easier. The online gadget spun its way through the names of those who entered, slowly landing on a name. He then clicked again and again until he had all six names.
“The victim- I mean winners are... Slobbers, RemoteDmg, OnlyMine, MaxieMo, Books, and Catcall. Congratulations! Incoming invites going out now,” Ice said and started to invite them. “By the way... Miss MaxieMo, what kind of luck do you have?! This is the third time I've run a dungeon with you. Books, you too.”
MaxieMo: I must have saved someone very important in my past life. Hehehe. XD
Books: LOL I'm just lucky, Boss. And I spend way too much time in game.
“That's true, Books. You're always online. Do you sleep?” Ice joked as they finished getting everyone into the group.
Books: Sleep? What's that?
RemoteDmg: lol!
Slobbers: Same dude, same.
“I'm going to invite the six of you into my private voice chat room, then I'll start teleporting us to the dungeon from our Tavern in Yosu Valley.” Ice took a look at each of the characters on his screen. He lucked out, and there was a decent blend of players. Ink's character AyeByte was a male fairy assassin. MaxieMo was a female giant tank. RemoteDmg was a male vampire fire mage. Slobbers was a male werewolf barbarian. Books was a male fairy healer. Catcall was a male neko pirate. And OnlyMine was a male fairy dueler. When he added in his fairy ice mage, was a nice balance of long-range fighters and melee.
MaxieMo was the first person Ice had invited who spoke in the voice channel. “So, Ink, exactly how good are you at this game?”
Markus had a half-smirk on when he answered, “Terrible. You guys are going to have to carry my butt through this thing. I've never even been through this dungeon before.”
Everyone laughed, not believing him at all. He worked at SRG, after all.
“I smell some serious BS,” Books said with his well-cultured voice, which made the words he chose sound outlandish.
“Damn, Book's sounds like a freakin DJ,” Slobbers said, shocking everyone with her little girl voice.
“Slobbers, how old are you?” Catcall asked, his soft voice sounding shocked.
“Fourteen, but don't worry. I'm one of the top ten dpsers in the realm. I'm going pro next year!” Slobbers chortled.
“I thought your name looked familiar! I'm twenty-fifth in the realm. Dang... I'm in the presence of damage royalty!” Catcall said with a grin in his voice.
MaxieMo sounded serious when she said, “Oh my. I have my work cut out for me.” And Issac thought she really did. Greater damage per second output from their group meant she'd have to try harder to keep the aggro of the mobs. Adding in himself and probably Ink too... this group might be a tad too overpowered for her to tank effectively.
“Don't worry, Momo, I've got your back,” Books said.
“I'm ready,” RemoteDmg said with an impatient sigh. He was obviously ready to challenge the dungeon.
Issac quickly opened a portal to the base of Urie's castle, and their characters ran through. It was time to kick some dungeon ass.
