‘Eventually our hearts seem to come closer, or so I thought. My romantic thinking has let me into so much trouble, that I can’t even count. Whenever I think about it, it always bites me in the butt. Always. And since I was so keen on impressing Simi, I never thought about my needs, or cleared any confusion. I gave everything. I even went with her to a bar, a place where I don’t feel like going. You can say, it’s an inimical place for me to be.
But, I went there.’
****
‘You are going there, I don’t want to hear anything. That’s some important event to go for!’ Arun couldn’t believe what he had just heard. His dad is endorsing him to go to a party!
‘Okay, I will go there.’
‘How much is the cost?’
‘₹900, but I’ve bargained with the organizer and it’s ₹690.’
‘Okay then, I’ll be sending a thousand rupees. And do go there, because if you don’t, the seniors might cause some trouble for you. Just saying.’
‘I understand this, and I’ll take care. Now I’ve to go to sleep.’
‘Good night, son.’
He then texted Simi, “Buckle up, Simi.” in the same way that The Undertaker said to Teddy Long.
And then they began to chat.
He laughed.
She laughed. Or it seemed like.

‘I woke up next morning, and was mentally getting ready for some happy ending, or at least some more closeness, maybe just flat out asking her out, I don’t know, I’m not great at this....
Anyways the class was skipped by everybody in my class, I tried contacting her, but wasn’t able to reach her…....’

“Hey, I’m a little busy atm, could we talk in around an hour later?”
“Sure we can😊”
Arun got ready, but he was feeling a bit odd, something like a calm before a storm. He still couldn’t decipher it.
But, something was there.
His phone rang. It was Simi.
‘Listen Arun, I’m on my way to pick you up, but there’s a ton of traffic here. So, I have looked at the map, and you’ll reach there in like half an hour. 35 minutes tops. Is that fine for you?’
‘I think I can. I’ll see you there directly then.’
‘Thanks for understanding, Arun. You're the best!’
‘Well what could I say?’
He laughed.
She laughed.
But the feeling was growing and growing.
What could go wrong?
Why is there an ominous feeling?
All the questions weren't making any sense.
