"I'm surprised though, Valencia" Alec says, trying to act serious. "How come you already forgot about that shitty boyfriend of yours?"

"Alec! Seriously? Again?" She groans.

"How of many times do I have to tell you that He is not my boyfriend.

What part of no one has every dated me, don't you get?" she says trying to act angry , but failing badly, as she could not overlook the fact that he still had not let go of this.

'Jealousy is such a weird thing' She thought, smiling to herself while trying her best to suppress her laughter.

"Of course," he says as he rolled his eyes, " If that is not the case, then why do you always stick to him like a leech? You should look at yourself when you're with him, you look like a baby koala holding onto its mother." He says, his jealousy evident from his behavior.

Valencia's eyes lock with Leia's, only to see her already watching the show unfold in front of her.

'Help me?' She mouthed.

'Nah' she simply replied, as she continued to read her book again.

Knowing that Leia would not help her, she turned her head to Alec.

"So, you've been keeping an eye out for me?" She says confidently.

"Oh please," he says, extending the -easeee, "As if I'd ever do that."

"Oh, really now?" she says chuckling lightly, "Then how come you all this stuff?" she concludes, all the while trying her best to suppress her laughter.

"I just have amazing observation skills", he says proudly.

"Well then, Mr. Detective, you should know very well that we're just friends, really good friends actually. ...", she pauses for a while, "I think it's best if, you just call us best friends," she says as a smile makes its way to her lips.

"I just didn't want to tell you directly because I knew you'd get jealous," she smooth talked, throwing her now empty ice cream cup in the bin.

She cupped her face in both hands, her elbows now resting on the table.

"What!?" He exclaims surprised, not without faking a hurt expression, and placing his hand on his heart.

"Sorry, you what?" Leia closes her 'more -interesting-than-anything-my-friends-say' book, as she begins to roll her sleeves up.

"You can't do that. I won't let you leave us Valencia," Alec states in a low wicked voice, as he stands from his position, clearly indicating for Valencia to run for her life.
