Alec was happy. He was finally happy. He never thought he'd be, but his friends had helped him throughout everything and as much as he didn't want to admit it, his family did too.

Now, after so many years, he was finally in the position to help someone else. To be an anchor for them when they needed support.

Smiling, he turned to look at the big hall that was being decorated. Yes, he was getting married. The person who thought that he'd never find happiness now not only had amazing friends but was about to walk down the amazing journey of life with his life partner - his soon to be wife.

Who was he getting married to? It was no one other than the girl he taunted for being single during high school, which was ironic since he too had not dated anyone before her.

His childhood sweetheart, her annoying best friend whom he could not help but annoy as a kid was now going to walk down the aisle with him and he couldn't be any happier.

He loved her then and he sure as hell loved her now. Maybe even more so than before. She never left his side. She, Ayden, and Leia were with him through every step of the way and he couldn't be any more grateful.

They made his life worth living and even though each of them had their own battles to fight, they stood by him and he stood with them.
