Back with Haley…

Haley managed to get out of the river ok but she laid at the bed for a few moments coughing up water. She looked over to see the lynx crawling out of the river too, glaring daggers at her. Haley immediately got up and kept running, the lynx kept chasing. Haley looked back to see the Lynx was gaining, she looked ahead of her to see a tree that had uprooted roots that were tangled together and didn’t have enough space in between for an animal much bigger than her. She quickly ran through them and got as far away from where the lynx was as possible. The lynx stopped by the roots and began to swipe through the openings trying to grab the kit.

At the same time, Tony jumped through the bushes and started to zigzag through the trees to lose the cougar. He jumped on the Lynx’s back, not realizing it was there, just as it was getting closer to reaching Haley. The cougar and the lynx collided sending them both tumbling away. Tony looked back to watch it happen.

“Hah! Not today cougar!,” Tony said and walked away confidently.

Haley was watching him go from her hiding spot.

“Whoa,” Haley breathed and ran to follow him.
