“You’re a Beta.”

I secretly laughed in my mind. He told me that words as if he’s making me sure that I am a Beta and I’ll be killed if I’m not when he’s the first person who stated and so sure that I’m an Omega at first meeting.

“I am, Mr. Deltran,” the bitterness almost slipped on my tongue.

“My secretary will discuss everything to you.” He said dismissively cold.

I stood and bowed my head. It was like a slow motion when I get to see his face. It’s still the same. His thick eyebrows, dark eyes, perfectly shaped face, his jawline which made him look handsome as ever. The only thing that changed is that… he doesn’t remember me. The memories we made together got forgotten by him, the one who insisted on making them.

I sighed and exited his office with heavy emotions.

“Only two minutes?” his secretary asked after I closed the door behind me. “Really? Two minutes? How many years has been it since you two separated?”

“Why the hell are you playing at?” I glared at the secretary who just whistled playfully, smirking.

“You agreed,” she reasoned out, teasing me. “Still into him, huh? Just one call and you- ”

“I needed money,” I cut her off. “I have wolves to feed.”

“Wolves? Maybe you mean ‘dogs’? Isn’t my boss your only wolf?” her brows furrowed as she open her office’s door.

“Shut up. What’s his matter?” I sat on the sofa and waited for her to answer me.

“Here it is,” she smiled and put a folder on the small glass table between the sofas where we are seated. “I can’t think of someone except you,”

“What do you mean?” I took the folder and started reading it. My eyes widened and I almost smack her with the folder after reading the contents of it. “What the hell does this mean?!”

“Hehe… as what you read, Mr. Deltran is having problem with his heat and you’re the only option I can think of so- aww! That freaking hurts, Daphton!” She complained and caressed her head that I smacked with the folder when my patient exploded.

“Seraphine!” I screamed and smacked her again.

“Aww! What?!” she glared at me but pouted later on. She sighed and looked away. “You see, Mr. Deltran has been suffering these past few years after his accident. The accident affects his heat, it became unpredictable, irregular. His heat can even last for almost a month- ”

“And what do you want me to do, sleep with him during his rut?!” I almost smack her again, good thing I stopped myself. “Do you want me to die this early?”

“No, that’s not it!” she shook her head and played with her hands. “To be honest, for the past five years since the accident, he’s been getting himself in coma when he’s in his heat. He’s been doing that for years now but this time, it is said that if he continues on doing that, restraining himself during his rut, his body might breakdown and he might die due to too much strength he’s using while restraining. It’s not that I can’t find someone who’s willing to be with him during his rut but I thought it’ll help him when you’re the one who’ll be with him. His heat only lasts long because of restration.”

“No. I’m an Omega, seems you forgot.” I reasoned out. “And I don’t want to get involve with the Deltrans, him and his family. Do you know how shocked I am to be put in a room with just the two of us? I really should’ve trust my guts to decline your offer when you told me to pretend to be a Beta,”

“But you’re the best option, the only option!”

“Where did you hit your head, Seraphine? Tell me.” I sighed. “I’m not much help if this is the matter. I’m an Omega and he’s an Alpha. There’s a hundred possibility that my pheromones may triggered him more and I might be pregnant. So, no.” Two is more than enough.

“Argh! It’s not like that, okay?” she reasoned out, frustrated. “Remember when I caught you two- ”

“Oh, shut up,” I gritted my teeth and looked away, certain memories from the past came to me and I feel my face burning up in embarrassment.

“Just listen to me, okay? I’m saying that your pheromones can calm him. I don’t know how you do it but you did. Also, you slept with him in during his rut, right? You helped him many times as he helped you but look at you, you didn’t get pregnant.”

“T-Things may change. I don’t want to. I don’t want to risk anything.” I shook my head and stood. “Find a Beta. Anyone’s fine but me.”

“If getting pregnant or affected by his pheromone is your problem, this pill can help you.” She grabbed my arm and put something on my hand. “Please, I don’t want to see him with anybody else but you…”

“What?” I stilled and stared at her for a long time but she just looked away and pouted.

“It’s because I believe you still love him after all what happened and you will help him. He truly loves you, Daphton. Believe me. He begged- “

“Bye.”

I exited her office as well without looking back.

I’ll admit it. I don’t want him to sleep with somebody else. The idea makes me feel bitter and hurt maybe because he marked me but the hatred I’m feeling towards him is more enough to cover the other emotions that I have towards him. I’m also scared. I’m scared that once I agreed to see him again, to be with him, I’ll go back to the past me who is deeply in love with and just like before, I will be left in the dirt again.

“I want pancakes. He also want one. Hehe…”

I shook my head and sighed. That’s right. I also really have to stay away from him since I’m sure his family will know no matter what and there will be people getting affected, not just me. I can’t let his family to get rid of people that are dear to me again. The thought of it made me clenched my hand that I almost crashed the tube- the tube!

I opened my hand and saw a small tube with a candy-like thing inside. That’s right, Seraphine handed me this earlier and I forgot to give it back before I left her office. I groaned in annoyance and turn to return this pill to her because I have no intention if using this.

“That brat.” I whispered and thinking of pulling her hair this time but a sudden heavy atmosphere made me stopped walking. “H-Huh? What is this…”

I stood in the middle of the hallway in confusion and try to figure what the heavy tension is only to realize what it really is when the familiar scent covered my surrounding. This is a pheromones and I knew too well whose pheromones this belongs to. As expected, my body became weak that I needed to lean on the wall to be able to support myself.

I looked at my hands and saw them trembling a bit, I'm starting to feel hot, too. What the hell? Doesn’t he know that there might be a person like me who will react to his pheromones? What is he up to, releasing strong pheromones at this broad daylight? Can’t he control his… oh, wait.

“The accident affects his heat, it became unpredictable, irregular.”

Don’t tell me he’s in heat right now? He’s got to be kidding me! I stomped my feet in annoyance before opening the tube, taking the pill inside without a second thought. I waited for a minute and my body really did calm down a bit. I feel that I’m still affected by his pheromones but I can manage to walk. Entering his office made me feel and smell his pheromones more. It’s all over the place that I can hardly move. Maybe the pill’s just starting to work.

“Trious…” I called carefully, my heart tightening at the sight of him restraining himself. He really does suffer. He’s trying his best not to give in to his heat.

I flinched a bit when he slowly looked up at me since he’s seating on a sofa a bit far from where I was standing, near his office door. From restraining himself, his expression slowly changed. He’s now looking like a predator ready to pounce on his prey, me. I waited for him to move but he just sat there, staring at me dangerously until he looked away, still breathing heavily like he’s stopping himself from attacking me.

My heart skipped a bit, scaring me a bit, at his attitude. How many times have I seen him like this before when I go near him during his rut? He always tell me to get lost before he can hurt me when he’s like this but when I touch him, just one touch, and he always ends up on sharing his rut with me. I sighed and started to walk towards him.

I stopped infront of him and touch his face. As expected, he immediately reached out and pulled me closer, hands touching my back sensually, affecting my body. I let out low whimpers as he started kissing my neck, licking, biting, and sucking it. I gasped when he inserted his hand inside my shirt and my pants, touching my skin.

“Your scent is so sweet, I want to devour you…”

I gulped when I heard what he just whispered. He’s in heat. He’s not in his right mind. He’s lost in lust and desire. When he wakes up, he would not remember a thing. I gasped in surprise when he carried me and made me sit on his lap, still kissing my neck and hands touching parts of my body. I trembled in sudden pleasure when he touched my erection and I can feel his poking my spot.

“T-Trious, wait. No, I- ”

“Hhm?” his other hand lift my shirt and he started kissing my chest.

“No! Wait- ahh!” my eyes widened when I felt his tongue on my nipple, licking and sucking it. “Ngh!”

“I want to put it inside you…” he said and touched the spot on my lower back. I gasped and moaned when a sudden tingling on my tummy started to spread as he inserted a finger. My body arched in sheer pleasure when he moved his finger inside me. “I want to put it in here. Daphton, I want to put it in…”

I blinked and stopped myself from feeling the pleasure with his finger. I gulped and breathed heavily, holding his face and making him looked at me. I looked at him in shock.

“W-What did you said?” I asked and caressed his cheek while he looked at me, eyes filled with lust and desire but his face is like an innocent baby begging for a candy. “You said D-Daphton…” I whispered and run my fingers on his hair, flinching everytime and stopping my moans when he moves his finger. “W-Who is he?”

“I don’t know...” he said and caressed my back. “I want to put it inside him. Inside you…”

“Haa…” I breathed out and encircled my arms around his neck, pulled him into a deep kiss which he made deeper.

My mind went blank. It’s like I forgot my hatred and let him do me as he please because I am, too, started to crave for his touches. We’re both covered with his pheromones when we did it. Nothing escaped my mouth but loud moans and whimpers as he did to me what he had to do during his rut.

All I know is that a tear fell due to the pleasure and defeat I felt.

I woke up when I felt a sudden pain from my back, chest, lower back, hips, thighs, and neck. I also feel sore and weak that I don’t think if I can even lift a finger. I yawned and open eyes. Right, I have to make breakfast. I was about to sit on our bed when I felt a heavy thing encircled on my waist.

“Shit.” I cursed with no sounds.

It’s like a thunder strike when the realization of what happened came to me. I carefully removed his arm on my waist and sat on his bed. My face heated up when I saw his how red his arm is. He must have feel it numbed when he wake up later. I just made his arm my pillow. Before, it’s alright but now, it's totally different. I carefully got off his bed and I almost cried in pain when I got up. It feels like I got beat up! I carefully covered his body with his sheets before looking around the room. My clothes are not here.

Oh, right. We’re in his bedroom in his office!

I tiptoed and open the door, peeking outside. My face burned when I saw Seraphine stood from the sofa when she saw me peeking. She’s got a teasing smirk on her lips. She laughed and covered her lips even though she did not let out the sound of her laugh as she took a bathrobe from the glass table and handed it to me.

“How was it?” she whispered when I finished putting the robe and closed the door.

“It hurts!” I whispered back and pulled her hair, making her hit my arm. “I feel like I got beaten up!”

“It’s obvious. Let’s go to my office, you can change there.”

I didn’t complain and followed her. Good thing there’s no people, she made sure that this floor Is guarded. She gave me a pair of clothes before I used her bathroom. I gasped and check every inch of my body after removing the bathrobe. I have so many kiss and bite marks! My jaw dropped at the sight. Even my ankle, hips, butt, and thighs have bite and kiss marks. I don’t even want to remember or imagine how the hell I got that. Ah, right. I can’t remember anything, just a glimpse of what happened. I’m sure it’s the pill that’s responsible for it. I applied ointment on parts that hurts after showering before putting the clothes on. 

“The car’s ready,” she informed after I got out of her bathroom. “Mr. Deltran’s already awake.”

“No need, I’ll just get a taxi.” I waved my hand and left her.

I ran towards the elevator and puffed some air out of relief. It hurts so much but I manage to get home on my own. I can't believe I just slept with him on our meeting for the first time again after few years. I closed my eyes and dropped my body on our bed after I arrived home. And of course, I flinched and complained. It still hurts!

“Are you okay?”

“Where have you gone?”

“Why do you have red marks on your neck?”

“What is that?”

“I’m hungry.”

I should expect this kind of welcome. I sat on our bed and spread my arms.

“Who wants to hug me?” I smiled after asking.

“Pss. Definitely, not me.”

I laughed wholeheartedly and grabbed him, pulling him into a tight hug. I smiled when I felt his band on my back, hugging me back.

“Are you sulking? You know I love you, right?” I said and kissed his forehead. “I won’t leave you. Both of you…”

I smiled and pulled the other one, we hugged him that made him giggle.

This… I have to protect this.
