The investors came shuffling in, chattering and laughing amongst themselves. They obviously knew each other and were on friendly terms, which really lightened up the mood. They seemed familiar with Tripp as well, who really looked amazing greeting them, I mean, not just looks, but he just seemed so confident and reassuring. He was in charge of the situation and let everybody else around him know it, in short he really is the big honcho boss man. He had this amazing air around him that you either wanted to be with him or stay out of his way. I wish I had that confidence, but honestly I can barely decide between a green or silver phone case, no idea how he could make such huge decisions and stand so confidently behind them.

I got to mess around with one of the phone models, it was definitely a phone I could stand behind, but there's always someone out there that will find something wrong and cause other people to stay away. I think that's what they are afraid of most.

"Welcome everyone, please have a seat. As you can see on the desk there is a phone of every model we plan to release in the coming year. Please take some time to look around and let us know if you have any questions." Tripp gestured to the phones carefully on display.

They happily discussed the phones and their concerns amongst themselves as they played with the screens and flipped through apps, probably looking for bugs or anything that may concern them.

One of the female investors went out of her way to flirt with Tripp, I'm not jealous. Why should I be jealous? Like seriously that selfie was totally necessary to test the camera… Kaylee seemed a little irked, I wonder what Tripp is to her if she clearly doesn't hide her jealousy like this? Of course rich people live in a completely different society than my own really, I guess I just don't understand it.

I have to say though, the atmosphere was nothing like I thought it'd be, it felt so relaxed like everyone here are friends, well except Kaylee who kept glaring daggers at me. Two can play at that game sister!

A few of the stockholders broke off from the group messing with the phones to talk with some of the staff, discussing concerns and the company's future. I stayed quiet, unsure of what to say.

One of the men broke off from talking with the others. "Well I don't think I've met you before. I'm Jay." He extended a hand. Jay had a beautiful smile that I'm sure makes him very popular with the ladies, he had slicked back jet black hair with a few pieces sticking out.

I blushed a bit but shook his hand. "Sera from engineering."

"Did you take the present role in engineering? That must be tough, you look so young!" He scooted next to me and kind of half sat down on the desk close to where I was sitting.

Well I mean if you think a little over mid twenties is young I'll take it, I thought to myself.

Tripp quickly stepped in between us, I wonder if he got slightly jealous. "Oh she's not the director, she's my girlfriend." He was so casual about it but I think the whole room literally dropped what they're doing and had their jaws on the floor. Someone at least dropped one of the phones on the table making a clunk noise. They quickly scrambled to pick it back up to be sure nothing was damaged, but hey at least they know it could take a fall.

I'm sorry your what?! Holy shit did he just say girlfriend?!
