No.

A watery spark of pale blue light flickered to life deep within the recesses of Amrielle’s being. It was small, like the light from a matchstick, or a candle freshly waxed. But the warmth and calm it gave off was inviting, refreshing, and pure.

Amrielle.

A new voice spoke this time, a richer, deeper, much older voice, older than anything that Amrielle could fathom.

My flesh and my blood. Son of my daughter. Child of Creation. Aspect of the world I have given life and being. I know of your past, and I know of your present, do you know of me?

Silence.

The voice spoken again, in a calm, compassionate tone, devoid of judgment and malice. Unlike the voice of his mother, or of the evil that seeped in his body, this voice was calm and serene, with no

Do not let the festerings of the void seep into your soul. You, child of the existence I have blessed with my presence. You, a balance of the celestial, the ethereal, the ephemeral, and the elemental. You, who has dwelt within the Deep, and the entirety of the Dark Space, the White Space, and the Gray Matter that holds the veil of worlds together. You, my grandchild, son of my daughter, progeny of my flesh. I am here, and I see you.
Now.
Awaken!

Ba-thump.

The sound of a heartbeat reverberated throughout, as the silence was overpowering and yet so frighteningly calm.

Ba-thump.

A twitching finger turned into a trembling hand, turned into a balled fist.

Ba-thump.

The rushing sound of water mixed with the intensity and heat from fire created a warm and fuzzy feeling of euphoria and grace.

And then.

A nuclear explosion the size of Jupiter erupted within the tear as light enveloped and incinerated everything it touched. A white hole, spinning in the center caused a chain reaction as spires of light sprang forth spewing hundreds if not thousands of rays in all directions. At the center of the white hole was Amrielle, pure energy rippling around him as crystal clear liquid tendrils of water created a web of light around him. His caramel skin was covered in cracks from the soles of his feet to his eyes, and along his back and his spine. His face a shielded by light, and his hair, originally a midnight charcoal, shone like the platinum. His head pointed upward towards the sky, his eyes were closed in serene peace, and his hands were stretched outward open palms down.

No!, cursed the voice, This is not possible!

Amidst the chaos and confusion caused in spiral of light and dark, the dragon that hand attack Amrielle floated unconsciously before being possessed again by the dark clouds that surrounded it. Only instead, the clouds had been suffused with the power of the void and had now become even more empowered, as well as enraged. The serpent, hidden beneath a dark energy cloud, could barely react as it was completely possessed by the entity that engulfed it and it had its eyes on Amrielle. Snarling with the intensity of a volcanic eruption, the void dragon wove its way around the spires of light until it’s a mile away from the white hole which had widened itself until it shaped into a ring, creating a space between itself and Amrielle; its core.

Seizing this opportunity, the creature coiled itself and with its power, it lunged towards the boy hoping to finally kill and then devour the pitiful child once and for all.

Now, said the eerie voice with finality, here is where you die!

As the dragon’s gaping maw closed the distance between its body and Amrielle, the boy was quiet, attentive, until he lowered his head.

Now my son, said the voice of his mother, speak thy name. That you shall come unto the power is that your own.

…

“Αρετηεναευσ”, said Amrielle

His name, his true name. Given to him at birth by his mother, created by his grandfather, the name was his and his alone.

Arethenaeus

…

At the mere utterance of his own name, Amrielle opened his eyes, and torrent water, light, and crystals exploded around him, washing over him and the dragon and enveloping them both in a space of surreality. Now fully healed and cognizant, Amrielle looked about him, seeing his hands and feet, before refocusing on the matter at hand.

Amrielle, my son.

“Matem (Mother)”, he answered, his voice ethereal and ghost like, “Ida thenua siamaladé cise? (is this who truly am?)”

My baby, you have awakened to your true form. Quickly, you must fight. Defeat the dragon and free its soul from the void, lest the both of the will become lost forever in dark space. You must fight.

No!, the eerie voice thundered, You will not escape! You will be consumed and you shall become nothing!

As if on command, the dragon lunged again, only to knocked back by a massive fist made of water and light. Taking the blow to the chest, the dragon was thrown in a crystal spire of light which shattered into millions of pieces. Using his control, Amrielle wave his hand and the shards charged up and when on cue, fired a barrage of beams at the creature. The void dragon roared in anger and pain, as the small beams chewed away at its exterior, chipping off the dark shadows that engulfed it before blasting them into nothingness.

I shall not give up so easily, but I will kill you!

I'm trying something new by playing around with the text features on Tapas, so please let me know if there's issues with reading the sections.
I plan on fixing this up real soon, but I simply must find the time. So for right this should suffice.

Amrielle was always weak at heart. Abused and bullied at home, at school, it seemed he was always destined to be so. And then his near brush with death only further damaged his fragile state.
Those types of scars never truly healed, and so he took his own life. Or at least he though he did. Now awoken in an alternate universe where everything and everyone wants him dead, Amrielle is forced to stand up for himself and fight for the right to live.

But with more secrets surrounding his own origins, and the looming danger his presence poses not only for the world he's fallen into, but also the world he left behind, Amrielle must now confront his own broken past in the hopes of finding an answer to question of his own uncertain future.

A random story that popped into my head.

Status: Currently in Hiatus.
As with my other story, given the sudden changes I've experienced in life, this story will be pushed aside in favor of taking a new direction. I may continue this story in the future, but as of now, I have yet to decide as to when.
