I already regretted this. The music room was filled with noise, and all I wanted was to have some peace and a long nap. I had stayed outside late last night finishing homework and hiding from Elisabeth.
The room became silent when a slightly older-looking guy entered, followed by two others. He radiated an aura that seemed to say, “Focus on me and only me.”
This would have been the time when everything faded away, and he was all I could see. Then my best friend would have waved their hand in front of me and say, “Earth to Affiza.” But I didn’t live in a romance novel, and I didn’t have a best friend, much less was friends with anyone here.
The three stood at the front of the room, and the introductions started.
He ran his fingers through his dark brown hair and spoke with a calm, deep voice, "I’m Bleu, and yes, my parents named me after the cheese."
I tried to hide my snicker, but I think he noticed.
He continued, "The university hasn't had a newspaper club for three years, so we decided we'd bring it back before we graduate.
We want the students to have the most interesting news they can read, so we decided we'd cover the upcoming Dice of Life season."
And noise.
The room was once again full of chatter. Why wouldn't it be? The president was planning something crazy.
"You want us to go to where they'll film?" I blurted. "We're college students, not professional journalists, and what's in it for us?"
"You're not going to do that exactly," he said. "
