“Did you poison him?”

Here they go again.

“I don’t have money to buy poison…” I said, earning gasps of shock from the crowed. I immediately shook my head after realizing how wrong my answer sounded. “I mean, I have no means to do that. I’m not a bad person.”

“You’re suspicious.” Some of them said with squinted eyes.

“Suspicious?” I stared at them. Seriously, I feel so anxious when they’re crowding me like this.

“I’m sure you just met him the other day… so why did he pulled you and keep you company in the infirmary? And he didn’t attend the next classes the other day and yesterday like you. Don’t tell me…” Shaine, a Beta, looked at me closely.

“What kind of thinking is that?” I gave them a deadpan look. “Maybe he’s busy? Does it look like he’s interested with Betas?”

“Hhm…”

“Oh, come on. We’re just friends,” I said and smiled at them. “If I’m an Alpha, I’ll prefer an Omega.”

“Okay.” They said and back to their seats like nothing happened.

I sighed in relief. Good thing they’re easy to handle. To be honest, Trious and I stayed together the other day and yesterday, doing nothing but bickering from time to time. I blinked when I saw the quiet person infront of our table staring at me like I’m some kind of mystery. I smiled at him and he smiled back, giving me shocks.

“You’re really smiling. Wow. I always find you cold and distant.” I said in awe. Still straing at him. “You’re an Omega, right? Your name is Shion.”

“Ahuh.” He nodded and smiled a bit. “But… aren’t you an Omega, too? Isn’t the sweet scent from yesterday yours?” he whispered and smiled. “I also smelled Trious’ pheromones even though I’m sure he’s releasing pheromones only to you. It’s strong.”

“You knew?” My heart skipped a beat, nervous.

“I'll ignore it.” He shrugged.

“Thanks… but why aren’t you affected by his pheromones?” I leaned closer.

“Marked.” He whispered back.

“Woah. Does it hurt?” I whispered.

“It was an accident.” he looked away.

“E-Eh?” my eyes widened in shock. “Are you okay?”

“Hhm,” he nodded.

“Hey,” I called carefully. “We’re both Omegas. You can come to me when you need help.”

“R-Really?” he finally looked at me but I was startled when I saw his tears dripping to his red cheeks. He sobbed quietly. “S-Sorry… I just…”

“It’s okay,” I took my handkerchief on my pocket and gave it to him. “Here,”

Seeing him cry like that scares me. And it hurts me, too. I don't want people to experience something like that. I want to hug him, comfort him. I know what he's feeling. I know how hard it is. Our situation may be different but the pain is the same.

“Excuse me. Daphton is being called in the principal’s office!” someone shouted from the door, peeking inside. “Please, come outside, I’ll assist you!”

“Oh, my! It’s Haze!” I heard whispers and girls squealing while boys raised their brows.

I gently pat Shion’s back before going outside the room where the person who called for my name. The guy smiled, putting his arm on my shoulder. I think he’s a bit shorter than Trious or he’s the same height. He’s an Alpha.

“The name’s Haze Quinto, Alpha.” His brows wiggled. “I’m handsome and single and ready to mingl- “

“Not interested.” I said, removing his arm while smiling friendly.

“Heh!” He jokingly glared at me. “I like Omegas. Not Betas.”

“Okay,” I said and move away from him a bit.

“So stingy,” he pouted.

“Are you sure you’re an Alpha? Not an Omega?” I asked, curious. “For an Alpha, you’re quite animated.”

“Hhm… is that so?” he asked and smirked. My eyes widened when his expression changed, from super hyper to a cold one. He also released some pheromones, making me dizzy a bit.

“Okay, okay. You can stop now.” I said, annoyed. “Omegas hate Alphas who releases pheromones out of nowhere. If you want an Omega, control your pheromones.”

“Hah, you’re a Beta yet you talk about Omegas if you know them well,” he raised a brow.

“Well, that is because Omegas in my old school are closed to me, some confessed.” I said smugly, earning a priceless reaction from him.

“R-Really?” I nodded at his question. His eyes widened in amazement. “So cool! Introduce me to them!”

“Hhm. If I’m free,” I said and stopped infront of the principal’s office. I motioned the door to him. “I’m going in,”

“Okay, I’ll be waiting with your free time!” he waved goodbye, putting his hands in his pocket.

I knocked on the door and Sir Krenz opened it, telling me to come inside the office so I did. The principal who is sitting on the chair behind the huge wooden table motioned me to sit on the chair infront of the table, across where Trious is seated.

I flinched when the principal smacked Trious’ head, making Trious glare at her. When the principal looked at me, I immediately looked down, blushing out of embarrassment and guilt.

“Fuck, I already told you to- ”

“Trious.” I called when I heard him curse the principal. He looked at me and stopped then he puffed some air irritably, leaning back on his seat with his face darkened. “I… I’m sorry. It was an urgent matter- ”

“May I ask what the urgent matter is?” the principal stared at me as if she’s analyzing me. “Are you perhaps… an Omega?”

“Trinna. I’m warning you- ”

“Warn me? Try.” The principal glared at Trious who looked back at her, face still dark. “What? Want me to tell Aunt that you brought an Omega on your penthouse?”

“Then, want me to tell Uncle you brought home an Alpha?”

“You- !”

I blinked and looked at Sir Krenz who smiled at me, shrugging his shoulders. He looked amused seeing the two bicker, threatening each other. The bickering didn’t stop right away, I started to feel anxious about the people outside who might here the bickering here so I immediately stopped them.

“Uhh, about the urgent matter…” I started, making them quiet. They both looked at me, waiting for what I’ll say. “I’m a Beta- I mean, I thought I was.”

“What do you mean?” Sir Krenz asked, eyes darting to Trious and me which made me feel embarrassed.

“The other day… I’m in heat for the first time. It came out as I’m a late bloomer. But I’m fine now.” I smiled awkwardly.

“You're the one he brought in his pebthouse." principal looked at Trious. “Did something happen?”

“Nothing.” I answered quickly.

"Does he look like fuckable for me?” Trious answered smugly, earning a hard kick from me. “Hey!”

“Shut your mouth, you dumb Alpha!” I glared at him and looked at Sir Krenz apologetically. “Sir, I, ahm, I’ll report to you if something happens again next time.”

No one answered. The principal looked at me, dumbfounded, Sir Krenz stared at me like I’m some kind of alien, and Trious glared at me while massaging his leg that I kicked.

“Ahm, is something wrong?” I asked after a minute of awkward silence.

“N-Not at all. You both can go back to your class. You, too, Sir.” The principal said, still looking dumbfounded.

When we exited the room, I saw a familiar face from afar.

“That’s Adam Mendez.” Trious said from behind me, almost making me jump in surprise.

“The who?” I asked after hitting his waist with my elbow.

“Adam Mendez, the youngest CEO all over the world.” He said, holding my arm. “He’s also known for his philandering. He’s 5 years older than us. Don’t ever think of engaging yourself with him. He’s dangerou- ”

“Let's follow them, dummy!” I pulled him. “Shion is with him, one of our Omega classmates! He’s in danger!”

“Maybe Adam is his Dad?” he said, earning a flick on the forehead from me.

“He’s too young to be Shion’s Dad.” I pulled him faster.

“He doesn’t get it,” I heard him mumbling.

I pulled him until we arrived at the parking lot. My eyes widened when Trious grabbed me to hide behind a car and put his arm around my waist, pulling me closer and covering my mouth. I was about to kick him when he whispered.

“Shh, something’s happening.” he whispered, looking straight.

My face heated up as something tingled inside my tummy. Why do I feel sudden chills and my heart is skipping a beat. It’s like my heart wants to jump out of my ribcage. It’s making me anxious yet it feels so fine.

“Wait! Just wait, please. Stop pulling- hmpt!”

My eyes widened and all the emotions I felt earlier faded at the sight of what was happening. I saw how Adam grabbed Shion’s neck and push his back on a car, kissing him with needs. That’s all I saw because my sight got blocked, Trious covered my eyes.

“Let go,” I whispered, elbowing his waist.

“No,” he said firmly. “It’s not pleasing to the eyes- shit!”

“Shh!” I said and covered his mouth, looking back where Adam and Shion is. I gasped at the sight again. “Look, Adam’s forcing himself on Shion!”

“Does it really looked like Adam’s forcing himself on Shion?” he gave me a deadpan look. “He’s kissing back, you idiot.”

“That’s because Adam’s forced… oh… yeah…” I stared at the two, dumbfounded. Shion’s kissing Adam back passionately. I didn’t even know he can kiss someone like that, he’s not innocent at all. “Let’s go back, they’re starting to make out.”

Trious shook his head, looking at me with ‘I told you so’ written in his ugly face. I looked away and pouted, hiding my embarrassment. My face heated up again. I came back to the class alone because someone called Trious and he immediately parted ways with me without any words. Hmpt! That dumb Alpha. I pouted and sat on my chair, eating candies secretly while waiting Shion to come back.

“Hey, class got cancelled!” someone screamed from outside while jumping around, spreading the good news to every room. “Woohoo!”

“Dumbass,” the room was filled with laughter. “He’ll never change.”

“Agree. Anyways, who wants to grab foods???”

“Me!!!” they screamed. “Let’s go!”

I chuckled and shook my head when almost all of them stood, grabbing their bags.

“How about you, Beta?” Venus asked, pointing at me.

“I’m still full,” 

“Okay, bye, Beta!” He said and the others waved, too, calling me Beta like what Venus called me.

I got nothing to do so I took a short nap.

I groaned and opened my eyes when my tummy growled. I was about to complain when I saw a bottle of milk and sealed baked goods on my table. I picked up the sticky note on the bottle.

‘Please, introduce me to your Omega friends. Hehe!

- Guess who?’

Idiot! I shook my head and grabbed the foods and my bag. I went to the rooftop because I was planning to eat there but what welcomed me is a cry.

I peeked from the door and saw a person hugging his knee, crying. My heart throbbed when I saw Shion.

“Shion!” I called and closed the rooftop’s door.

“B-Beta!” he cried, stood and ran towards me.

I flinched at the name he called me but I immediately shrugged it off when he hugged me so tight. His shoulders moved aggressively due to sobbing and I feel my shoulder getting wet. I caressed his back and hair while he cried nonstop.

“Hush... it’s going to be alright…” I whispered.

He cried for about ten more minutes before he calmed down. We sat on the floor and stare at the scene ahead. I glanced at him and saw tears starting to fall again. I sighed and faced him, wiping his tears.

“I-It hurts so much…” he gulped. I stared at him and saw how flushed his face looks, his eyes are sore yet he still looked so beautiful, even when his curly hair was disheveled.

“It will be alright,” I said and gave him the pastries Haze gave me. “Here, eat this.”

“T-Thank you…” he heaved a sigh.

Comfortable silence enveloped the rooftop. He ate the pastries silently. It’s calm now. After eating, he leaned on the wall and closed his eyes.

“Adam… my family works under him, his company. I was 16 when I went in heat and no one was there but him. He was 21 at that time.” He started.

I listened attentively. It’s like the heavy emotions from him got out and enveloped the whole area.

“The feeling of pleasure mixed with my admiration towards him is addictive. I like him, I admire him. I love him.” His voice broke. “N-Not until I realized… he only do it with me when the person he wants was not around. He… called other names whenever we did it during his rut…”

“What the…” my heart tightened. If I’m feeling hurt by just listening to his story, I’m sure he’s more hurt. He’s heartbroken.

“He marked me during his rut… the last rut I shared with him.” he sighed and opened his eyes, smiling at nowhere. “I can’t react to other Alpha’s pheromones. I’m going crazy whenever I went to heat. I tried to cut all ties with him. I avoided him. I moved out. I studied here, so far away from his home yet he still found me.”

“Actually… I’m sorry!” I said loudly and bowed at him. “I… saw him… you… kissing… err… I thought you’re in danger so I followed you… sorry!”

“I figured.” He chuckled and shook his head. “I miss him so much I can’t help but to kiss him back.”

“Rupok…” I mumbled.

“I know,” he pouted. “If you’re in my shoes, you’ll do the same, too. Or worst!”

“Of course, not! Oh, you know that language?” my eyes widened in amazement.

“My grandma taught me. She worked in that country for years.” He smiled, reminiscing. “Anyways, I realized it’s bad so I immediately excused myself, saying I have a report to do.”

“If his home is far from him, and he’s here, and he kissed you… doesn’t that mean he likes you? You don’t just chase people you don’t like- “

“But you chase people you need. He's engage.” He chuckled.

“Then why did he kissed you- ”

“Maybe I released pheromones unconsciously?” he shrugged.

“Café?”

“Yeah. Let’s go, my treat.” He stood and lend a hand. “Ahh, it sure is great to share your feelings to someone.”

I smiled as he pulled me up and we walked together. Good thing there's an urgent meeting with the faculty and staffs.

“Beta!”

I almost run when I heard Haze’s voice from behind. “Wait for me! Where are you going?”

“It’s Haze.” I told Shion and before he can look back to see Haze, Haze already got between us and encircled his arm around our shoulders.

“Yahoo! New friend! Hi, Omega!” he winked at Shion while Shion just stared at him indifferently. I laughed when he winked again, and again, and again until he pouted because Shion’s still indifferent. “Aww, you’re so beautiful but you’re already marked. Find me an Omega, please!”

“Go away, childish Alpha.” Shion said. “Argh. I hate Alphas.”

“I think someone’s glaring at me,” Haze suddenly said out of nowhere, looking around. “The chills.”

“Get away, Alpha. I’m so tired I can barely walk.” Shion shrugged his shoulder to let Haze remove his arm on it.

Both I and Haze looked at each other and for the first time in my entire life, I felt as if we got connection. Haze looked at me meaningfully and I nodded. He counted from 1 to 3 and then he easily carried Shion who screamed in surprise. I ran with them, laughing.

“Are we friends now?” Haze asked as he walked towards a gray car, I followed behind them.

“Punk.” Shion said and smiled, hit Haze’s chest with his forehead jokingly.

“Friends.” I said and smiled.

But… why do I hope Trious is here? Well, it would be fun if he’s here, I got someone to tease. The more, the merrier.
