he came to her in the hush of night,                                                                          

he came and sat on the edge of her bed, silently watching her soundly sleep 

he studied her calm face in blissful sleep, wondering what she was dreaming about?                                                                                                                         

he took her hand in his, thinking what would life be like if we lived in another world?                                                                                                                                                   

he dared not to lay down with her and enter her dreams because he knew if he entered her dreams it would turn into nightmares.

  Oh, he longed to hold her in his arms. 

he wanted to grab her face with both of his hands and deeply kiss her as if tomorrow would be his last day.                                                                           

But all he could do was sit in this moment, hoping to. have another like this.  she smiled, squeezing his hand                                                                               

he squeezed back.
