Magical trees surrounded her, like the ones from the tales
her father used to tell her when she was little. It was a sight
of magnificence. But she was not here to loiter; she was in
an unfamiliar place, filled with danger.
First, she searched for food. But didn’t know what was
edible and had no way of testing the fruits, berries and
mushrooms around her. She couldn’t do anything because
her amulet was still recharging from the time she teleported
to this treacherous sanctum. She decided to venture forth
and hope for the best.
Eventually she found sturdy trees and sharp stones and got
to work, she gathered the sharpest stones and used them to
cut strong enough branches and make twine to craft an axe.
She felt proud of herself.
She quickly set a few traps around her and today; luck was
on her side.
She set camp and ate. Feeling satisfied.
The Moon high in the sky, she heard noises that didn’t sound
so pleasing. She started feeling odd. A moment later she felt
pain, so bad that it felt like torture.
Her head was burning, thinking that the food she ate was
poisonous. Her vision blurry from the tears in her eyes and
screaming from the agony she faced.
After her ability to think returned, she noticed bleeding in
her leg. She was bitten by the Furry Tomb Anaconda, a
matured one that had lived for 50 years.
The presence of that snake could only mean that there were
humans there, lots of them
