The sun was reflecting off the windows of the apartment. The clash of white and relaxed grey-blue twinkled in the sun’s rays that flooded onto the floor and walls as the curtains were thrown open. A day off and a pleasing morning.
“Woof!” A head poked through an open door with a panting smile. Lunar turned his head to see a familiar face full of black short fur. His all-black German Shepherd was trolling over, nuzzling Lunar’s hand for a good morning pet session.
“Hello, Midnight. Come on, let’s go eat. I have to head out for today, run some errands.” Midnight barked, flipping herself around before racing out of Lunar’s bedroom towards the kitchen. Lunar chuckled, raking his slender fingers through his loose tresses. He got dressed, comfier casual than anyone gets to see and walked out to the kitchen where Midnight was seated nicely at her bowls.
“Good girl.”

The city was always so busy. Nothing close to NYC, but almost there. Chicago also did live up to its nickname. The Windy City. But today wasn’t that bad, thankfully.
Lunar tracked around the wide sidewalk, dodging other people as they walked by. During the day, nobody really cares who you are. That’s what makes the night so fun. The trouble starts there. It’s unavoidable. Just like last night. Yeah, last night.
Lunar couldn’t forget much of last night. It was just too surreal. That whole situation.
“I wonder where he is. That kid.” Lunar, took a drink through the thin red straw, scanning his surroundings before colliding into another around the corner.
“Ah sorry about that,” Lunar stepped back.
“Don’t worry about it. I’m too much in a hurry. I’m late for a show preparing.” The woman hurried off, her heels clicking down the concrete walkway and onto the road across the street from where Lunar was standing. He looked up the building and back down it. He hummed a bit to himself and shrugged before carrying on his way to God only knows where to. Careless off day and night you could say.

Late afternoon was nearing. Lunar was relaxing back at home, scrolling through his nightclubs page and looking at all the pictures many people have taken. He smiled, scratching at his dogs head as he continued on. He exited the page and scrolled through his newsfeed. More nightclubs were posting about their upcoming events. Bars posting about drinks and foods they are putting and taking off their menus and so forth. But what caught Lunar’s eye was a post someone had taken at one of the more sophisticated night strip clubs just a block away from Lunar. In the photo, three people were in it. A girl with a mess of blonde and pink curly locks, a guy with dreadlocks and another with fluffy wavy black and silver dyed hair. Lunar clicked on it and looked at the caption and comments.
“Hm,” Lunar scrolled down through the comments to see the face of the dreadlocks guy had commented.
“Nova and Pear! I can’t wait for tonight, you guys!” Lunar muttered to himself and stood up,” So that’s why he was so calm. He lives this way. I’m surprised it’s so easy to spot him. So much for being able to hide as he speaks of.”
Midnight rose up from her sleep and yawned, whining a bit from being awoken from her pleasant sleep.
“Should I pay a visit there?” Lunar looked at his lanky and buff bodied dog. She rose to her feet, trolled over and licked his hand and nuzzled. Lunar hummed and looked out the window.
“They’ll be open soon. Time to see some,” Lunar sighed brushing his hair back at the thought of going to a strip club,” plus-size strip club.” Midnight panted tilting her head at her owner as he closed his bedroom door behind him. And another thing, he doesn’t have a problem with fuller women, nor men, just, it’s the idea of a strip club that gets to him. But it’s one of those, they are proud of their bodies so it’s their choice.

Pushing through the massive amount of men inside, Lunar managed to make it to a clear spot that was far from the large stage and other smaller stages. He leaned on a stand only table, keeping his gaze down from the strippers that were on stage for now. From what the post made it seem to be, there would be a large show between those two. The owner must’ve been the dreadlocks guy.
Some women came walking around either in near-naked suits or waitress clothing with drinks and food. Lunar ordered since he would be staying for the night to see. Soon the lights around had dimmed and the music had turned a little bit slower but still with an upbeat. Lunar leaned back against the wall and watched, eyeing the large stage quietly.
A blue haze lighted the stage and a throne-like chair and soon a figure stepped around it.
They were dressed in a loose dark blue suit decorated with a Victorian floral pattern. Silver and black hair sparkled in the dim lighting thanks to some glitter in it. Soon, they took their seat on the throne before the crowd of people smiling.
“I never thought the owner of Salvatore’s Twilight would come to my humble abode. I’m blessed!” Hands clapped together, a mischievous lurking smirk on the man’s face as he approached. It wasn’t the guy in the picture, A ashy blonde with devilish like blue pools stared holes into Lunar’s turned away face. The man held out a hand smiling,” Deimos. Welcome to Gedeon’s.”
“So, you’re the one that owns this place. Trust me, I never thought I’d step foot in this place. With the rumours, I’ve heard about. For someone with an underground strip club who is so secretive, you do make it hard to get in here.”
Deimos chuckled thick,” I thank you for that. I do pride myself in an isolated place that dwells on all things sexual desire. I don’t need trouble here. We are with a high reputation here.” Deimos leaned back on the same wall as Lunar and glanced towards the stage. Erien was draped over the arms of the throne running his fingers through his hair letting the blazer he was wearing slip off him slowly as he shook the glitter out from his hair. The black heels he wore hung loosely off him as he flipped off the throne and tracked his slow graced footing down the stage stairs, hands from the other dancers taking him and helping him up into a smaller one that held a pole in the middle.
“You are very fixated on him. Nova that is. Why is that?” Deimos had lit a cigarette, stuffing his empty hand into his white silk jacket. Lunar looked at him,” he happened to be in my club last night. With an unwelcome guest that hung onto him disgustingly.”
“Oh, I take it that it was that fat man that always asked if he was in when he would come. He managed to memorize Nova’s dancing schedule. So we had to change it more frequently. I want to thank you for that. It was a bother.” Lunar scoffed in annoyance and glanced back over, watching as the young male spun slowly upside down on the metal pole and flipping up to slide down and land. Erien’s figure twisting around and poking fun playfully at the crowd around him as small whistles and laughs roared up, the music did not slow anymore.
“So how long has he been doing this? He seems too good at it.”
“He has been at it since he was young. You probably don’t know but he isn’t from here. None of us actually. Europe is a funny place with funny little rules and laws,” Deimos blew out a thin cloud giving a sharp glare at Lunar,” Trouble is what you are getting into now that you have met him. He is contagious. Good or bad. Intoxicating some would say. I and his friends can all agree. And you aren’t far from it yourself. So don’t bother too long. It’ll only mess with your lives. Don’t let the innocent act get to you.”
“Huh? What are you getting at?” Lunar turned towards Deimos. But, he was already walking away, towards the stage Erien was at. The girl that was in the picture with him was on stage now, arms around one another before pulling around and their backs tracing down the pole before kicking their heels and boots up to the music.
“What an idiot.” Lunar took a final drink from his glass before heading out and catching eyes with Erien on the way out. Erien flicked his nose towards Lunar and finger waved him bye before disappearing behind the girl, Pear.
