Malachi held Aiden in his arms cooing in his ear encouragingly trying to get him to wake up. Slowly his long thick lashes flutter open like the wings of a butterfly. His eyes a murky green unable to focus his head resting on Malach’s shoulder. Their eyes meet and slowly become they returned to the usual vivid green. Malachinsighed in relief giving Aiden a quick squeeze of reassurance.
A sigh escapes Aiden’s lips, after Malachi was satisfied that he was alright he lowered Aiden slowly down to the floor. Holding onto Malachi’s arm for support they both turn back to the entrance.
Mike had spotted them and had been rooted to the spot unable to move at what he had just seen.
Aiden regained his footing and they both approached arms linked stopping in front of him. Aiden’s eyes were full of anxiety while Malachi’s with raging.
"What are you doing here?"
They both asked in unison, Aiden’s voice laced with confusion while Malachi’s grounds out with anger.
He swallowed hard his eyes going wide as all eyes in the room was fixed on the three of them.
Mike had thought this would be the best time to try and apologize to the Blood Moon Pack for killing the Alpha’s mate now he was regretting that decision.
His counsel had advised against coming sooner because he would be risking his life. They said this would be the most opportune moment with some of their allies around to back him up if needed.
He never had expected to see Aiden! He looked so beautiful it took his breath away until their eyes met and Aiden fainted only to be scooped up by Alpha Hunt.
Irritation pricked at his conscience especially as he watched another Alpha’s armswrapped around him. Aiden walked with him as if...well as if he were the new Luna to the damed Blood Moons.
He clenched his fists in anger relaxing only when he spotted Tyler near them just as angry. He felt a little at ease seeing the Crescent Moon pack here, they were the Campbell’s strongest allies and no doubt they would help him in a pinch.
"To to make amends he stammered." it was hard to talk with such strong killing intent directed at him.
"So you have come to die?"
The question started Mike, he looked around the room everyone avoided his eyes even Zach Summers well looks like then Crescent Moons may not be helping out after all. Did he just walk to his death? Was the man still so angry? He looked over to Tyler who was staring at his father in disbelief.
A shiver ran down his side causing his hands to shake as Malachi uttered words no one was prepared for.
"I no longer need your life. I have someone far better than that."
A smile spread across his lips but it held no warmth it looked as if A demon was smiling instead of Alpha Hunt. His eyes glowed and his sharp fangs elongated his arms snaking around Aiden’s slim waist.
Mike’s wolf whimpered, his heart felt cold as dread pumped through his veins. Realization set in, he couldn't smell Aiden’s sent, his sweet scent of lilacs after arainfall that would seep into his every pore when they were near each other, it was missing it was gone.
His eyes turned to Aiden, his head gently resting against Malachi’s chest. Mike wanted to tear his arms away and scream at him for his betrayal. Anger filled him before he could rain it in it spilled forth.
"You whore! How could you betray me! ME! Your fucking mate!"
Everyone in the room gasped and turning their attention to Aiden, he flinched at the accusations but before he could read any other emotion a large fist hit him square in the gut sending him flying across the marble floor.
Hunt had moved so fast it hadn't registered in Mike’s mind until it was too late.
He gasped for air before He could take one in a leg came at him again, he braced himself for the impact that sent him reeling as his back hit a wall after he was sent flying for a second time.
He almost lost concussion, his stomach heaved and dumped all its contents on the floor. He was still heaving when a hand gripped the back of his suit dragging him to the center of the room.
"He didn't betray anyone." a steel voice sounded near his ear as a hand gripped his hair dragging his head up to eye level.
Everything had gone dead silent. No one dared to move or breathe as they watched unable to tear their eyes away. Malachi had started paced around him while he spoke.
"You were the one who never came for him."
"You were the one who let your mate be taken to save your sorry excuse of a pack."
"Not a single one of them tried to stop me. He sacrifice himself to keep you alive for a little longer. Did you know that? By the way not one single person in your Pack gave a shit that their Alpha’s mate was being taken away right in front of them."
"Aiden I’m sorry hope one day you will understand and forgive me. You sent him those words in a note if I'm not mistaken." He stopped behind Mike as he finished.
Mike looked at Aiden, his head was turned away refusing to look in his direction. Guilt tore at him as his anger cooled leaving him with the awfully words he just flung at Aiden sweralling in his head.
Malachi yanked his hear forcing him to look away causing his eyes to tear up.
Aiden and Malachi locked eyes as if communicating telepathically. His hand relaxed for a moment.
Malachi tossed Mike on the floor, stepping over him. He stopped after a couple of steps turning around.
"You go near what’s mine again and next time no powered in the heavens or earth will keep me from tearing you to shreds."
"He is mine!" The statement he bellowed douncing throughout the room.
"If anyone wants to challenge me you are free to do so." he scanned the crowd no one dared make eye contact.
His eyes landed on Zach Summers and the alpha simply nodded his head in understanding.
Malachi walked up to Aiden reaching up to cup his face, Aiden rested and nuzzled into his Alpha’s hand submitting without it being required of him..
To all's astonishment, Malachi instantly calmed as the omega nuzzled his cheek in his large hand.
The room slowly started to buzz again with peoples chatter after Mile had been escorted to the infirmary.
Malachi escorted Aiden up to their rooms, there had been far too much excitement for his little Omega and he needed time to digest everything. The one called Tyler followed without having been invited. Malachi had growled telling him Aiden needed his rest but the Omega stubbornly stuck with them.
Tyler even followed them into their room. Aiden looked apologetically at Malachi while Tyler folded his arms over his chest leaning against a wardrobe waiting for Malachi to leave.
He grumbled his displeasure at having an intruder in their room but related, they were cousins after all. He was heading towards the door promising to get someone to bring some refreshments up, but before he could close the door a hand stopped him.
Aiden pulled his back to face him, wrapped his arms around Malachi’s neck he slowly easing their lips together. Malachi moaned into the kiss and wrapping his arms around Aidens slim waist. Aiden sighed into the kiss as Malachi’s tongue invaded his mouth, relishing the feeling of their tongues intertwined.
A clearing of a throat drew them apart earning him another growl but from Aiden this time. Malachi smirked as he tapped aiden on the nose before closing the door.

Aiden and Link were in desperate need of reassurance from their Alpha. He had been feeling so anxious throughout the encounter with Mike that his emotions were going haywire.
His Alphas pheromones were the only thing that would be able to calm the turmoil inside his head and heart.
He had been terrified when Mike had verbally attacked him fearing that a physical attack wouldn’t be far off. He had been grateful that Malachi had been beside him, keeping him safe.
But that meant he would become a target, he didn't want Malichi to suffer for his misgivings, for decision he had made in a moment of weakness. Malachi deserved so much more.
Aiden was still shaking when Malachi left the room. Ignoring Tyler, he rushed around the room removing his designer suit and hanging it up, then he rushed to the laundry hamper, finding the shirt Malachi had worn that afternoon and donning it on. He curled up on Malach’s side of the bed, pillow in hand as he buried his head in it before turning his attention to Tyler.
"His fucking scary but his nuts about you. If you even think about leaving I bet you that man will be locking your cute little ass up for good."
Tyler had watched his friend became a ball of insecurity as he moved around the room. He tried to break the ice and it seemed to be working, Aiden smiled and nodded.
"Now that you've calmed down mind filling me in on what the hell that was about in there?"
Tyler finally pushed off from his perch and sat down in front of Aiden. Aiden’s lips were quivering his eyes brimming with tears.
"I thought you would hate me if you found out."
Tyler was taken back.
"Why would I?!" he yelled scaring the other omega.
"Be..because you said anyone who betrays their mate is the scum of the earth and you hated every last one of them." he finished, now sobs wracking his shoulders
Then as if a dame broke Aiden poured his heart out to Tyler, everything spilled out from when he had left their pack, ending to what happened downstairs.
By the time he finished, he had finished crying and they had finished the food that had been brought up to them. The pack member Cassie had even stayed to listen to Aiden’s story. Even voicing her own opinion known and again when she thought it was warranted. She left after he finished taking the trays down with her.
"Then what the fuck was Malachi talking about forgiveness and shit?” Tyler asked still not satisfied with the exception.
"Oh!" Aiden paddled on his bare feet to a desk at the far corner of the room he opened a drawer taking out a piece of paper and rushed back hopping back under the covers handing the note over to Tyler.
While he read his face darkened in anger and disbelief. He flipped the letter around expecting something to be written on the other side.
"He fucking dumped you with a fucking note!!! Forgive him my ass!" he snapped fuming.
"Who the fuck does he think he is?! I'm going to kill him!" Tyler raged on as he paced the room calling Mike all sorts of names even threatening to neuter the man.
He glared down at Aiden, who hadn't said a single word only watching as Tyler raged in the room.
"Are you happy?" he asked in all seriousness.
The question took Aiden by surprise, he was heartbroken that's for sure but maybe he was happy. He didn't feel alone and the pack had been so accepting of him and he truly loved being in the pack.
He nodded finally after mauling it over in his head a couple of dozen times.
"Good. Cuz if you weren't I was gonna steal your ass and hide you where he could never find you."
Aiden smiled and then broke out into laughter new tears stinging his eyes. He wiped them away.
"You can’t take me we are bonded. We wouldn't survive long without him near, besides I don't want to leave."
Tyler looked stunned.
"What do you mean we?"
