Steven looked onward from the top of the cliff, the man singing was, oddly enough, being entirely truthful. That was weird as the situation he was describing wasn’t possible as well as being visibly untrue. This man wasn’t a comet, like he was describing. Even if he was, he was singing so he wasn’t JUST a comet, he was at least a singing one.

Rose was listening to the man, she looked to be enjoying herself, at least the smile she had on wasn’t fake. Steven could tell, the power to tell when something is a lie is one of his most used powers. It notably didn’t work on Rose very well, not because of any effect on her part, simply because she was nearly ALWAYS lying. It was like she herself was fake, but that smile wasn’t.

Steven wasn’t proud of it, but he kinda distrusted Rose because of it. He knew it was irrational, Rose hadn’t done ANYTHING to make him not like her. But holograms of her felt just as real than she did, she was simply that fake.

The human man stayed a bit after the showing to talk to Rose, he gave her a shirt, and was promptly yelled at for it by an odd looking human who stood of to the side. Rose returned home, wearing that shirt. She hasn’t paid for it, so Steven hopped off his cliff, and ran toward the man.

“I am so sorry for my sister sir, here, you should be paid for your troubles”

The man looked confused for a second.

“Huh”

Steven kept his face straight, the man didn’t remember.

“It’s for the shirt, you gave it to my sister a bit ago, I was watching from the cliff up there, and ran over when I saw the scene”

Steven, who still had the bill in his hand, extended it out as a gift. The man, Mr. Universe if his shirt was to be believed (it was, in some sense at least), took the bill and looked at it.

“This is a fifty, the shirts only worth twenty?”

It was leading, but Steven had done it on purpose.

“To pay for the worry that my sister Rose caused you, I know you weren’t really worried, but it is tradition”

Steven walked off at this time, heading home. He jumped the fence and headed to his room.
