“HOW DID YOU DO IT!?! I’VE BEEN TRYING FOR MONTHS!! HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO DO IT!?! CAN YOU HELP ME SUMMON MINE!?!”
Steven really wished Nora would stop yelling, he really didn’t know how he did it, he just had.
“Nora, would you calm down please?”
Steven could not really talk to her when she was like this, it was why he hung out with the cool kids, the didn’t feel the need to do anything more than relax. They periodically complained, but that was about it, it was never overly emotional.
Nora was always emotional, and to the extreme as well. She got crippling sad or excited, and never just reflected. Some times Steven really enjoyed that about her, most of the time really, not when it was directed at him.
Nora had calmed down by this point, so Steven opened up a little.
“I don’t know how I summoned my Gem Weapon, that was the first time I summoned it. Even if I did, how I summoned my Gem Weapon will be different from how you summon yours, we are different people after all”
Nora looked a little miffed.
“We’re still twins”
“We aren’t, we are at best cousins who were raised together. We share zero genetic relation, at all”
It was an argument they’d been having for a long while now. Nora argued they were twins because they treated each other like siblings and were the same age. Steven argued they were cousins, and even that that was a loose term for them, because Black Diamond and Rose Quartz considered each other siblings by the Gem definition (even though according to Pearl, Siblings wasn’t something Gems really had). Steven simply DIDN’T have a genetic relation to “Uncle” Greg and wasn’t Rose’s kid, so they weren’t even half siblings. Cousins was closest and was still loose at that.
They weren’t the same, and Nora always had a problem with that.
“So, are you going to help me, or not?”
Steven agreed, only under the circumstance that they get Pearl to help.
