The leader takes the rises and falls but the text holds the key.
Over the course of the twelve months at which the three earth leaders, Brigg, and Zero were at the lair of the fairy queen, a lot of things were learned.
In the martial arts, we mastered eleven different forms of martial arts. As promised, the teachers worked incredibly fast, and the material worked fast. The main teacher for martial arts was a blue dragon that I had seen in the skies when I met Zoe. His name was Tsunami. His assistant was the purple and black dragon named Plaguebringer. First we worked on Aikido, a Japanese martial art that is performed by kind of flowing with the attacker instead of facing them straight on. It needs much less physical strength, so we could focus on bodybuilding for the later martial arts we would practice. Next up was Hapkido, a Korean martial art which uses striking attacks (a.k.a. Joint locks, kicks, punches, etc.) It focuses on circular motions and control of the opponent. After Hapkido, we practiced Judo, another Japanese martial art created in 1882, whose goal is to immobilize or subdue the opponent with a grappling maneuver, chokehold, or joint lock. Moves are generally only allowed in prearranged forms and not allowed in competition or free practice. Jiu Jitsu was next. It’s another Japanese martial art for defeating an armed and armored opponent when you have no or a very short weapon. It uses pins, joint locks, and uses the enemy’s energy against them to immobilize the opponent. Karate came after that. It was developed in Okinawa, Japan that utilises striking techniques such as punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes, and open-handed techniques. It usually focuses more on hand techniques than kicking techniques. After that, we focused on Krav Maga, developed in Israel that focuses on hand-to-hand combat. It involves wrestling, grappling, and striking techniques. It’s known for Its effective and brutal counterattacks. Next on the list was Kung fu, developed in China, it was a set of martial arts developed in China that utilizes various styles. We then focused on Mixed Martial arts (MMA), a full contact sport that allows a variety of different styles, striking and grappling techniques are allowed we learned this near the end, as most who use it train in multiple styles. After that we focused on a martial art from Thailand called Muay Thai, which uses stand-up striking and clinching techniques. It uses punches, kicks, elbow and knee strikes, but uses eight points of contact instead f the usual four (hands and feet) and is usually relied on more often than other martial arts. Next was the Korean martial art known as Taikwondo, it focuses on self-defense. It uses blocks, punches, kicks, and openhanded strikes, as well as varying forms. Finally, we worked on Tai Chi, a Chinese martial art. It is usually practiced for it’s defense and health benefits. It is mostly made of different forms. Some of them are known for their slow movements.
Universal magic class also made some interesting points. There was actually a lot more to their history, which intertwined with humanity's history. Billions of trillions of centuries ago, humanity was the most advanced species in our galaxy, second only to those who traveled through dimensions and universes, they only came around from time to time. At one point, all of the lower species rebelled, and a war of incredible magnitude was waged. An unfathomable number of people were killed. The traveler species came upon tbe carnage, and destroyed the galaxy. They made it be reborn. Heroes and protectors were made into the robot parts we found on earth and were scattered across the cosmos, able to create new parts by agreeing to make a person into one, but they all had to agree unanimously, Every species was accounted for, eggs were laid on their original planets, when the time came, those eggs would hatch. Humanity’s eggs were some of the last to hatch. Humanity was made to be the only beings who had even a few people that could understand the parts. We also learned that only humans could manipulate the parts and how to change parts into other parts. That’s where our universal magic ended, there were no medium or advanced classes for our universe.
History class went over the history of several species in our galaxy, both before and after the rebirth of our galaxy, as well as some of the history of the traveler species. As we were learning human’s history in universal magic class, we learned about the Scihmets and Chamhurs. When humanity was at the top, both the Chamhurs and the Scihmats were treated as slaves, but were usually direct slaves of humanity, they mainly managed all other species for the humans and were the ones to lead the rebellion. They were reborn as some of the first species to hatch, as they had acted with valor, sacrificing themselves for the lower species during the rebellion. It was much the same for most other species, those who fought for everyone got to be hatched first and those who acted cruelty towards other species were born last, to only get the dregs. As it turns out, the traveler species was a group of fairies of both light and dark races, and of all three tiers, royalty, perma, and regular. They left their universe to escape a raging war between the light and dark races. They went around to all the universes and set things up for their future stories. How they knew what to do, nobody knows. Every story from the farie’s universe is a universe, and the fairies all made tnw stories come true, and it was the fairy queen who would wreck those stories to bring her universe back to life. As it turns out, Zoe was in another universe at one point, and the dark race attacked the light, using weapons the light race created, allowing the balance between the fairy universe and the rest of the universes. The dark race killed off the light and the whole universe blew up as a result. Zoe ran as her people were slaughtered. When I was talking about balance, there’s something you need to know. The fairy kingdom is split between two races and three tiers. The royalty tier has one person chosen to be the king or queen by an alicorn who lives off of their power. The fairy monarch gets their power from their kingdom. Both races have an alicorn, the light has Buttercup, and the dark has Midnight. They both chose Zoe to be the queen of their kingdoms, but the dark kingdom still followed the previous dark queen, Zoe’s grandmother. When the universe was destroyed, Zoe finally made her pledge to the people of darkness, making her the actual queen. The symbols she had on her neck and left arm were proof of her status. The bottom tier of fairies, the normal ones can change races many times over the courses of their lives. It depends on how they feel, in a way. If they are angry, starving, thirsty, or treated badly, they will become of the dark race, when they are full, when their anger subsides, when they are happy, they are of the light race. The middle tier, the permas are like the normal fairies, but a bit stronger and smarter. They also don’t change sides.
Technology class was also a little odd. The head teacher was a green dragon named Gero. He supposedly taught all the other teachers everything they knew and learned directly from Zoe. We learned things about energy that we never suspected. Did you know that with enough of an electrical charge, you can even make walls of water? Of course, you’d have to know the right techniques, but it is possible. We also learned about the theory behind artificial gravity, as well as how reactors and jump drives work. We were taught about everything we needed to know about building ships like third-tier species. The O2 recycling, water recycling, special hydroponics farms, even the genetic engineering of the different species. When I went to the higher leveled classes, I wasn’t able to understand much, so I was mostly drawing the whole time. The teachers really took no sh*t, but they didn’t seem to mind my doodling, probably because I was only there for my “subordinates”.
Over the course of the year, we learned quite a bit about the keys in karin magic class. We were kicked out of the higher classes immediately, because you have to get the right keys to be in those classes, and you have to earn those keys by passing the previous classes. Every time you pass a course, you get a stronger key that can do more, but they don’t give you those immediately, because the less power the keys have, the less likely it is that giant accidents happen. We learned how to control the elements around us. Namely fire, water, wind, earth, etc. within a sphere of influence in a10 mile radius. When we graduated, we got silver keys that had a 500 mile radius and could create bigger phenomena. We started to work on the medium class, and learned how to keep the keys dorment, even when our emotions are raging. We didn’t do much else though.
In weapons and art class, we focused on illusions, working with different weapons in different environments, and how to conceal weapons in everyday items. We worked with intimidating people with our “style” and quite a few other things too. we also looked at not only how to create and use the weapons to their fullest extent, but good strategies in which to use them and in which combinations. Not much else happened in this class though...
