The Moon
iii. Werewolves are chained to the moon.
"Once full moon rises, the veil drops and the children of Luna will be in sight."

'It pisses me off. I know Raziel is toying with me. My body might seem like it is in deep slumber. But in fact, my mind is aware of its surroundings.'
'During the night, I could perfectly feel the way he hugs me tight to sleep. He whispers, 'this is your punishment for not listening'. But on other nights, which rarely happens, he would grasp my hand and place it on his lips as he inhales my scent. Those moments are where he is most vulnerable. He would whisper, 'I'm sorry, little witch. I need your presence. It still haunts me. What those bastards did.'
'Okay, some nights are cute. But during the day. . . Kalhil visits.'
'What pissed me off the most is the moment I managed to see inside the room. It has been the second week since 'my punishment'. I was about to boast my new achieved trick and show myself in front of Raziel, but he chose that day to give Kalhil his 'reward'.
'It makes me think of Raziel as a highly calculative and manipulative individual. Right now I'm almost in the third week, I won't let that happen. I need to urge myself to wake. Like. . . what the fuck. He is torturing me with the intimate gestures he does with Kalhil. I. Don't. Want. To. See. That!!'
'There he is again. Having his daily talks with Kalhil. There they are on the loveseat in front of the fireplace. How they have that in his room is a mystery, but hey coven of powerful witches so.'
'I could see Raziel placing his arm around his shoulders, tilting his head to the side while saying 'you foolish boy. Since when do you plan to starve me?' Starve?? They bring in foods more than three times a day. How do they. . . then it hit me. Ughh ew.'
'But the weirdest thing happened. Raziel showed his pearly white revealing. . . fangs?'
'Wait.'
As if in a trance, Aude Sinclair managed to sit upwards. The little witch quickly muttered an incantation to turn the loveseat facing the bed, and stare at the sharp things with wide eyes. "What are you?" The little witch's voice sounds hoarse due to the fact that he's been mute for almost 3 weeks.
Raziel raised his eyebrows, "Took you long enough. I'm almost disappointed." He said in a gentle breezy voice while the silver haired beauty caressed the thighs of the panicked Kalhil.
'Now that I got a good look at him, with his eyes open. . . I realized how unique his features are. His silver hair is draped over the couch, while framing his v-shaped face. His porcelain skin seems to glisten under the cool white lighting. But, the thing that took my breath away is how his eyes are different. His right eye is in brownish gold while the left is bluish silver, both with a spec of red.' Ciel Aude Sinclair marvelled at the sight. 'To think those kind of eyes exists.'
"Cat got your tongue?" The figure that the child was worshipping suddenly vanished in front of his eyes. Then a cold touch lingered on Aude's jawline making the little witch flinch.
"I shall take my leave then" Kalhil, back to his aloof self, got up from his seat but Raziel raised his finger making him halt.
"My dear, enough with the secrets. Have you forgotten who I am? Was I too lenient with you? I could feel everyone in this vicinity." Kalhil immediately dropped to his knee knowing what his master meant.
Raziel tried to be more patient with his eldest orphan, wrapping his hand around the little witch's waist, trying to quell his anger. 'Right, I must have spoiled him.'
Meanwhile, the little witch being enveloped by someone dangerously attractive is just too much for a 16 year old. Aude's breath hitched as soon as Raziel's touch travelled dangerously low.
'Sweet mother of. .'
Despite the advances Raziel was currently doing to Aude, the little witch is perfectly aware that he is being used as a stress ball. It's evident how Raziel is trying to control his temper. Aude could somehow feel the anger of his friend basing on his aura. 'It's not sexual for him, but tone it down! It'll be hard.'
"M . . .my lord. Raziel. I'm sorry I don't want for you to see him but. . ."
"Is he an orphan? Hmm? I'm waiting for you to realize it Kalhil but you see. . . Aude here managed to wake up from his magic trauma, but here you are still. Oblivious of the fact that this child of night is in league with Levant!"
Kalhil, who always appears aloof and cold showed an intense shock by what he had learned. 'Only Raz could stir up that guy.' Aude being the odd man out, watched the drama happening in front of him with an innocent look.
Kalhil lowered his head, waiting for the cruel, manipulative guy's verdict.
"This is enough. I'm bored with playing along. I shall take charge. Stand." Kalhil followed, head lowered still.
Raziel sighed, pulling away from Aude, the place where he touched still lingered as the child observed the mysterious being in front of him. He walked towards Kalhil, then traced his servant's lips with his long sharp nails.
The intimate gesture made Aude Sinclair frown, but he knows it is not his place to speak out. He just came from a punishment and he knows too well how Raziel is more powerful. 'Heck, he is the most powerful here in this coven.'
Suddenly, Aude eyes widen at the change of atmosphere making him clutch the blanket beneath him. Raziel's song-like chuckle floated in the air as the whole place begins to shake.
"Time for a change of pace" Everything shook, the whole place went dark and suddenly 'thunk'. It felt as if they were dropped somewhere.
**Kalhil called for a meeting at the great hall with all the members of the coven. Everyone rushes in panic as they find themselves in an unfamiliar environment. All eyes are anxiously directed at the front. The members whisper among them as they watch their coven lord seated on a throne-like chair. Kalhil seated on the right side while an unknown teen is standing between them. To appease Raziel, the eldest orphan managed to create a doppelganger amidst the commotion and tasked it to find a talented individual for his lord to feast on. Being an exceptional practitioner, Kalhil presented the talented child as soon as Raziel and the others arrived in the great hall.
"Settle down" Raziel ordered as he prepares to taste the 'gift' bestowed to him by Kal. As much as he wants to call it a gift. It is in fact a peace offering. The ethereal being bare his fangs in front of the whole coven. Earning a tense reaction from his subjects.
Without caring for the gasps and murmurs he took a sip from the young lad. Raziel always had an acquired taste for gifted beings. No one knows how Kalhil managed to locate and negotiate with a music prodigy in a matter of minutes. The child's struggling financial must be one of the reasons he agreed being showcased as some living blood bank. Raziel didn't care but he sure is satisfied with this unexpected meal. Biting down on his wrist, blood finally entered Raziel's system after 500 years of slumber. 'My dear Kalhil sure knows how to appease me, such a delicate taste.'
Frantic whispers filled the room, as frightened on lookers watched their revered lord partake his meal. 'Kalhil did warned me about this. But have they not accepted me? Surely, I've been told my subjects are aware of this fact. Or are they?' Raziel hummed against the sun-kissed wrist making the child prodigy blush.
Looking down as the stranger feast on his blood made his heart beat erratically. 'Mr. Cenijo did mention I should be careful. He does have a bewitching beauty. Will they kill me?' The one feasting tried not to smirk as he playfully took a sneak peek at the prodigy's thought.
Raziel cleared his throat once he got his fill dismissing the cute lad to the side. 'Bewitching beauty? Did my dear Kal used that term?' He bowed down as Kalhil's doppelganger assist him out of the great hall. With just a tweak using a memory spell, as soon as the prodigy gets teleported back to his house, it will seem as if nothing happened.
The whole coven had already been in chaos after Raziel's whim of transferring locations. Witnessing their coven lord drink blood, each is filled with anxiety after confirming one of the rumors. The whole coven watched their supposed lord at the edge of their seat, bracing themselves for his next move.
Now that Raziel got a taste of blood, he glanced across the room. 'I know that they fear me, my actions.'
"My dear people." Raziel started looking around the room filled with orphan witches. "This is the first time I introduce myself to you. As you all are aware I am Raziel Leor Nox. The unknown trinity, a son of the Styx goddess and the late king of Noxgimenos." Raziel looked around once more and saw that everyone was listening intently making him smile in satisfaction.
A teen slightly raised her hand, Raziel immediately noticed the rather shy girl. He smiled at her as he nods to encourage her to continue. "When you say trinity . . . . I don't know. . . . there are many rumors about you, my lord. Could you. . . perhaps."
"Yes, my dear, to clarify all rumors are true except one. I bear the curse of the moon, sun, and earth. My step siblings, the gods and goddess that came from my mother, felt betrayed by her. . . infidelity with my father, a mortal with tainted blood. Thus, placing a curse to make us, I mean me, suffer. Let me clarify one thing, I'm not a tyrant. That horrid rumor. ." Raziel sighed. Bad memories resurfaced one by one making him clench his fist. 'Where am I going with this story?'
"Sun. Moon. Earth. A vampire cursed by the sun. A wolf bound by moon. Last, a witch slave to the earth. He is a demi-god tainted with the supernatural. The most infamous rumor about our coven lord is a lie. I shall not speak of such accusations as they are not worthy. Raziel Leor Nox is the one we swore to protect, the one you accepted once entering this coven." Raziel stared at Kal as he declared his identity. Then, Raziel found himself searching for the little witch. Curious by his reaction, he scoured the room filled with his subjects. And there he was in the far back, leaning against the wall. Always the loner.
He frowned while staring at his friend. Thousands of thoughts swim around his mind. 'Yes, my dear. This is what I am.'
'It's a curse I am to bear for only existing in this world.' He stared at Raziel with teary eyes.
'Thank you for existing.'
Raziel retracted their connection breaking eye contact. 'What was that for? Thank you? Such a silly witch.'
"Now, you might be wondering, but here I am alive and powerful as ever. I shall put an end where we live in seclusion. This is where I spent most of my life: the uncharted lands of Noxgimenos. As members of this coven. This is your new home."
