There was a house at the end of the road

It smelled like ash and honey in the hot sun

And there on the steps always sat a small toad

The toad was calm when you approach it doesn't run

The toad had a little toadstool just off of the step

When it was tired that's where it slept

The small toad even had a puddle to sit in

It always looked relaxed i wished i was the toad

Instead of working and running to school

I could be a small toad sitting on a toadstool

It became dark and I left to go home

I can't wait tomorrow to see the small toad
