I see that you have decided to move on to page #1. Bold move. Well, I suppose since you’re here anyways, I should tell you a little bit about yourself, or at least who you will be in my novel. Your name is Barret Jenkins. You are 14 years old. You are an outcast. Everyone seems to think that they can pick on you and you won’t mind, but you do mind. You mind a lot. But you can’t let anyone know that, because if they knew, he would know. “Who is he?” You are probably wondering. Well, he is your bully. He is the guy that everyone at school likes- for whatever reason unknown to you. He hates your guts for another reason that you are clueless of. His name is Carlos DelMonte, and you can’t let him know that you mind, because he would take advantage of that. And he is way too good at making you miserable.
You are currently at school, waiting for the other students to arrive to English class. As you wait at your desk, you notice someone opening the door to the classroom. You ignore it, until you realize who it is. Carlos DelMonte. You try not to stare at him, but he was staring at you. You decided that it was just a coincidence, and that you happened to be looking the same direction at an odd time. You tried to stay hopeful, but you could see him walking over to your desk. He bumped into your shoulder harder than what was comfortable, and stopped next to your desk. He looked at you and said, “Don’t forget that we are supposed to...go out for lunch today. At the park near your house. After school. Don’t be late.” He snickered and smiled a devious smile, and then walked over to his desk, two rows behind you. The teacher was watching, so he couldn’t say anything too obvious, but you knew that this “Lunch meet up” was all just a trick so that the teacher wouldn’t catch on. We eat lunch in school. Not after school. He was going to beat you up. But you couldn’t not got. You had to, otherwise he would beat you up even harder the next day...right? You had never really thought about it, because you always went when Carlos asked you to.
Do you….
Go to the park after school to see Carlos
Or…
Go straight home after school
