“What kind of mood is that?”

Seriously, I want to kill him! Since yesterday when he finally attended class, he’s got this irritated look on his face and it spoils the mood especially when he released this uncomfortable pheromones.

“You.” I did not stop myself and hit his arm. “Piece.” I kicked his foot. “Of.” I glared at him. “Shit. Release pheromones again and I’ll strangle you to death!”

“What?” he looked at me, frowning.

“God, this is the first time I want to kill,” I mumbled before glaring at him. “You’re releasing pheromones, dummy!”

“I did?” he frowned as if he did not care a bit.

“Yes! So stop,”

“This is annoying.” I heard him said, loud and clear before standing up and leaving the room even if the professor called him.

What the- he’s such a spoiled kid!

I tsked before going back to copying the lectures written in the board. It was lunch time but Trious was still nowhere. I pouted and went to the rooftop with Shion when he said he have something to tell me. We sat on the bench and I waited patiently for him to speak. Minutes later, he sighed and looked down holding his forehead.

I… will drop out.” was the first thing he said.

“W-What? But you just got here.” I was shocked, and sad at the same time.

“I don’t know what he wants but I don’t want my child to know that he’s the father. I don’t want… my child to see his father .”

“What?!!!” he’s… pregnant?! “I don’t want to interfere, I was shocked, really, but… I think it’s not right to keep everything from the child. I’m sure one day, he’ll know and he might hate you more than he’ll hate his father knowing that you kept everything from the child.”

“He’s gonna get married, Daphton. He loves his soon-to-be wife. I saw it in my own eyes.”

“If that’s the case, why is he always waiting for you in the parking lot?”

“I don’t know!” he pulled his hair frustrated. “I really don’t know. I need to run away.”

“I think… he loves you.” I whispered, calming him down. It’s bad for the baby. I’m sure.

“He doesn’t.” he looked up at me and I trembled when I saw despair and pain in his teary eyes. “Trust me, he doesn’t. And he said, he told me he doesn’t want to have a baby. He hate the thought of it, what more if the baby’s from someone he doesn’t like?”

“Okay, okay. I trust you. But… raising a child is no joke. You need tons of money. You’re- ”

“Raising a child? Who?”

Our eyes widened in shock. I looked back and almost had a heart attack when I saw Haze from behind, brows furrowing. I gulped and looked at Shion whose tears are now falling.

“Oh, my God. Did I make Omega cry?!” Haze panicked and run towards us, trying to peek at Shion whom I covered.

“Haze! You piece of- “

“I’m sorry for listening! But, who’s raising a child?” he looked at me with confusion. “Is it you?”

My jaw dropped at his accusations. He’s known me as a Beta and he- God, he’s such a id-

“Idiot, It’s Shion.” Trious said.

“Yeah. You’re so dumn- eh?!” my eyes widened and looked at Trious, who was leaning on the wall, smoking. “When are did you arrived here?”

“Here since I left the class.” He puffed some smoke.

Haze stood still, frozen while I run towards Trious and pulled his cigarette from his mouth and stomped on it.

“What the-

“You knew someone’s pregnant here so why are you still smoking?” I glared at him. “It’s bad for them both!”

“Tss,” he looked away.

“Trious, I swear- ”

“Don’t ever do that, Daphton.” I saw his jaw clenched, his hand trembling in anger.

“Huh?” my brows furrowed in confusion.

“Don’t ever…hide a baby from his father.” He said in a serious tone, black eyes turning into red.

“O-Of course.” I said and stared at him. Why do I feel nervous all of a sudden? It’s my second time seeing him angry but why is his reason right now giving me this unknown emotion. “seriously, what is in your mind right now?”

“Nothing.” His eyes turned back to its normal color.

“Since you’re here, let’s all help Shion.” I pulled him towards Haze and Shion.

Haze and Trious who figured Shion’s state, Shion has no choice but to tell them what really happened. Haze overreacted and Trious stayed quiet. It’s like we four have a secret meeting.

“Where are you going, then?” Haze asked, worried.

“Somewhere… he’ll not know.” Shion replied, awkwardly.

“If that’s the case, you might get help from the Reesse.” Trious spoke.

“R-Reesse?” Haze overreacted again. “Isn’t the Reesse too dangerous?”

“There the only one who can hide someone without trace, but of course, there’s payment.”

“I don’t have money.” Shion said straightforwardly.

I looked at Trious and when he looked at me, I gave him the ‘Puppy eyes’ look. But he didn’t got affected and just raised a brow, smirking smugly. I glared at him before turning to Haze. Maybe this would work on Haze? But before I can, Trious already spoke.

“Fine. I’ll help.” He said, glaring at me.

What did I do? That dumb Alpha! I glared at him, too, before looking at Shion.

“When are you…”

“I guess when he has a meeting with someone important?” he shrugged. “When he’s busy, I guess.”

“My Dad’s got business with the Mendez, I’ll tell my Dad to make a meeting with him.”

“You’re such two awesome people!” I said and hit the two’s waist in happiness. “That’s settled then. Haze, tell me when’s the meeting and Trious, we’ll talk later about the payment.”

I can’t believe all of the things that are happening right now. We’re just students yet we have a situation right now. I’m still sad that Shion’s gonna go. It’s just days since we met. He’s kind. He’s miserable… like me.

“Adam would never chase a person himself if he’s not interested in that person.” Trious said when Haze and Shion got inside the principal’s office to discuss about Shion’s dropout.

“That’s what I’m telling him,” I sighed. “When you said he’s a dangerous man, and a CEO at his age, I believe he has tons of men to order around so why chase Shion himself? Shion doesn’t want to believe him because, I guess, he’s hurt enough? And the baby, he wants to protect the baby.”

“You wouldn’t do that, right?” he asked again. I nodded, peeking inside the rom.

“There’s different reason to do such things.” I said and tried to peek inside but the small glass to see what was happening inside was too high. “It always depends on the situation.”

“But you wouldn’t.” he said, holding my waist and lifting me.

“I just told you, I wouldn’t. Why are you so bothered, anyway? It’s not like I’m getting pregnant or such. I’m just a student.” I saw Haze smiling at the principal while Shion was answering something on a piece of band paper.

“Are you done peeking?” he asked.

“Yep, yep.” I said and he let me down. “By the way, I’ve been meaning to ask you this,” when he raised a brow, I started asking him. “Why are you in such a foul mood? Since you got back yesterday from the other day when you left, I can’t seem to tease you. Why is that?”

“Something came up.” He answered dismissively.

“Something like what?” my brows furrowed in confusion.

“I don’t know. Things just started to change.” He shrugged and looked away.

“What things changed?” I asked again.

“You’re so noisy.” He tsked.

“Of course, I’m curious.” I smirked at him. “So? What really happened? Tell me! Come on! Aren’t we frienemies?”

“Frienemies?”

“Like friends and enemies. You know, when you’re being a dumb Alpha, I always get annoyed and wish you bad luck. Hmpt! You’re sometimes too stingy and snob that I want to strangle you to death!” I crossed my arms on my chest. “Just like now. Look, you’re annoying me!”

“What did I do?” he chuckled. “I’m not doing anything!”

“Yes, you did.” I glared at him. “Don’t talk to me. You annoying dumb Alpha.”

“Go, I’m really in danger.” He mumbled, unclear to me

I ignored him and closed my eyes, leaning on the wall, waiting for Haze and Shion to come out.

Trious is here, I can just close my eyes and not worry if someone will attack me or what. I honestly noticed it, too, since the day one. The way I didn’t felt repulse or scared when I woke up on his bed, the way I tease and call him names knowing his a rich Alpha who can throw me in his window in just a second, the way I let him carry me like earlier, and the way I feel so comfortable with him. I don’t know but I feel safe whenever he’s around. I am safe. I’m sure I am.

My heart thumped at the thought. Yes, I just realized it’s been years since I felt this way. My mom always made me feel this way back then. I sighed and opened my eyes and it immediately met his dark one. I feel light when I saw him looking way, brows starting to furrow.

“The school just started but we already skipped tons of classes.” I shook my head, disappointed of myself. “I think I would be sleeping in streets if this continues,”

“I won’t let you.” He said like it’s nothing.

“W-What?”

“I have tons of houses. I’ll give you one.” He furrowed his brows like he is counting something. When he gave up, he looked at me. “Where do you want to live? I’ll buy you a house if I don’t own any on the area you want.”

“H-Huh?” my jaw dropped and my eyes widened. “Y-You what?!”

“I said, I’ll buy a house- ”

“Hey! You don’t just go and buy houses. I know you’re damn rich but buying houses for people- ”

“I don’t buy houses for people. I’m planning to buy one for you.”

“You… why would you do that?!” doesn’t he have any idea how that words from him sounded so different for me? I want to smack.

“I don’t. I don’t want you to live in streets so…”

“I’m just joking!” I sneered.

“I don’t care. I’ll still buy you a house.”

“No!” I glared at him, the exact time Haze and Shion went out from the office.

“What’s happening here? Why does Trious look so eager?” Haze said with his unstoppable mouth.

“Nothing,” I said and shook my head. “So? How was it?”

“Good, I will just bring my documents and I can stop going here anymore.”

“That would be sad…” I looked down. “It’s just been days.”

“I know, I’ll call from time to time- if I can?” he smiled and reach for my cheek, gently touching it.

“I’m sad, too.” Haze pouted, getting his cheek closer to Shion.

“Idiot Alpha,” Shion chuckled after flicking Haze’s cheek.

“Aww! Beta!” Haze pulled me into a tight hug. “The flick hurts!”

“Are you really an Alpha?” Trious irritably pulled me from Haze’s hug. “Get lost!”

“Eh?” Haze squinted his eyes on me and then at Trious and then at me again and then he suddenly smirked, a teasing one. “You’re into a Beta, huh?”

“What are you- huh?” it was so fast I didn’t even feel Haze’s lips touching my cheek. He just gave me a peck on the cheek before running as quickly as he can. I don’t know why.

“What the fuck?!”

“Calm down, I think he likes teasing Alphas. Saw him yesterday flirting with an Omega, knowing the Omega’s Alpha is there.” Shion sighed. “He’ll get in trouble if he keep on doing that.”

“I think he got threatened, too. He just ignored it.” I said and looke at Trious but I was surprise to see his eyes. It turned red. “Trious. What happend?”

“Oh, i-it’s red.” Shion said and somehow trembled but only for a second. He, then, looked like he realized something. “Oh, I get it now!”

“What? What happened to him?” I asked look at Trious but he just walked, angry.

“It would be really hard for him, liking someone who’s so naive,”

“He likes someone?” I asked again, curious. “W-Who?”

“He’ll tell you if he’s ready,” he smiled and waved his hand, walking towards the exit. “I’m gonna get the documents, see you when I see you!”

I pouted and looked at Trious. He’s still angry and his hands are clenched. If others will see him, they’re gonna run out of nervous.

“Hey, Triou- ”

“I’m mad.” He cut me off. “I think I’m going insane. I’m so fucking mad I want to kill someone.”

“You’re not gonna do that!” I asked like he’s crazy. “Calm down. Why are you suddenly mad anyway?”

He didn't replied, he just walked straight, obviously ignoring me. My heart thump in sudden pain. I looked down and played with my hands, feeling so down and somehow pissed at myself. Omega... Omegas are sensitive but I have never felt this down before just by being ignored by a friend. And he's mad... at me? But, what did I do, anyway? I pouted and just think of Shion. We're just students, so young to have a problem like his. I thought when my mom left me, it was the most difficult but seeing and knowing Shion's state, I was wrong. 

I got even more complicated. Shion, Haze, Trious, and I just met days ago and here we are, helping one of us. And one is ignoring and mad at me. 

"Stop."

"H-Huh?" Trious vulnerable voice made me halt my step. I looked at him and saw him looking so flushed. I blinked when I saw his face. He's sweating and his lingering stares is no joke. "T-Trious?"

"You're releasing..." he huffed heavily.

"Releasing what?" my brows furrowed and I stepped closer to him and about to put my hand on his forehead to know if he has fever but before I could, he grabbed my hands and pushed me on the wall, shocking me. "T-Trious!"

"Pheromones!" he yelled, trembling as his head fell on my left shoulder. "Stop it..."

"I did?" my eyes widened in shock and immediately composed myself. "Sorry, I didn't mean to- Trious?"

"Stay still." he demand, teeth gritting and his hand tightening his hold on my pulse.

My mind almost explode when I realized what was happening. He is reacting to the pheromones I released! But my pheromones is not a heat pheromones. Only heat pheromones can trigger Alphas so why... don't tell me, he's getting in rut?! My jaw dropped and I somehow feel at ease knowing there's no one around but us because it's class hours and we're still far from the classroom. 

"It hurts." he whispered after a minute, making me stilled.

"You're... restraining yourself?" he didn't reply, he just stayed still.

I blinked. Trious, and Alpha, restraining himself to not touch me is... making me feel weird and it is not helping in this kind of situation. I waited until I think he calmed down and pulled him inside the storage room. 

"Here. Stay here. I'll get a teacher- " I gulped. His pheromones are getting stronger. "Stay here, okay?"

I walked towards the door and looked at him. In my first heat, he helped me and did not do anything that can harm me, instead, he took care of me. As a friend, I will do the same. So, I ran so fast to the clinic and asked for medication, I also find Sir. Krenz and told him about Trious' state after finding him. We immediately went to the storage room. 

"I'll call his family- "

"I think he wouldn't like that- huk!" my eyes shut closed when Trious pulled me into a tight hug. It's like he's protecting me from something. "O...kay? What is this?"

"Daphton, are you sure you're not together?" I tried to look at Sir Krenz but Trious did not let me! "To see an Alpha restraining himself and being so protected at his state- that is now how it's supposed to be."

"He's... kind." The only thing I can say, words almost muffled because of Trious chest.

"Well then, I think it would be the best to sent him in his room and you'll be taking care of him."

"Uhh... w-what?" I tried to free myself from Trious but he kept on pulling me close! "Wait, stop- "

Why?! Argh!
