"Nnnnn! Stop!" I moaned as Tripp began kissing my neck, I was very aware his fingers began trailing down my body until it stopped at the bottom of my skirt.
And here I thought he was being an absolute gentleman reserving the whole floor at the restaurant for us.
"I don't want to stop." He moaned into my neck, continuing on anyway. He slightly lifted my skirt, bringing his hands even closer. I know I shouldn't, but I moaned in anticipation.
"What if the waiter comes back?" I gasped, trying to swat his hand away, but he was having none of that.
"Then we better make it quick!" He chuckled, brushing my panty line with his fingers.
The stars above our heads shone brightly and twinkled at us. It was as if each star was out tonight just for us. It was beautiful, the moment seemed perfect, but I had to stop him, I just kept asking myself over and over again; how did we know each other?
"Wait, wait." I gasped trying to catch my breath. He groaned frustrated but did as I asked. "Please, tell me more about how we knew each other a while back. I can't remember you."
"Ugh." He let me go and straightened up in his chair. "I'd really like for you to remember on your own, seems like it'd be best that way." He reached forward and brushed his lips against mine and gave me a quick kiss before the waiter returned. I didn't exactly have time to pick what I'd like so I just ordered the first chicken dish I saw on the menu.
"Please, I can't remember and it's bothering me."
He grumbled, "Fine, listen carefully." He shifted a bit toward me as he recalled the story. "Ugh, where do I even begin. Years ago, I can't quite remember when I want to say you were either late teens or early twenties was the first time we met; what a faithful encounter it was too. It was late at night, I was sitting on a park bench, I hate to admit it but I was crying. I had just lost everything in stocks. I literally lost every dollar I owned on a bad investment. I was ruined and debating suicide. I couldn't see a future at all, I had no job and no money. My girlfriend left when she found I was broke. I didn't know how I was going to pay rent or buy food, basically my life was over. I would have to sell everything I owned just to make it through the month, I mean that is if I didn't kill myself. When I looked up I saw the most beautiful woman with her head down crying, she had a black eye; it had to be painful to cry, but then you looked in my direction, despite all that was going on with you, you asked if I was okay."
I reached up to my eyes and found I was crying, why? I don't remember this at all, but he continued on with the story. "There you were crying with a black eye, clearly you weren't in any shape to care about others but yet you did, a total and complete stranger. You sat down next to me and listened to my story about how I lost everything then fished in your purse. You had $20 and said that's all you had for the week until your paycheck but not only offered your money and joked about eating ramen for the rest of the week but gave me your phone number and offered a place to crash and wanted to help when your paycheck came in. You said that I reminded you of a friend you had back home and wanted to help. I tried to give the money back but you insisted. I tried to ask about the black eye but you kept making excuses. You said you had to go and to text you if I needed anything."
"Here ya go!" The waiter interrupted putting our food in front of us. We thanked him.
"I took the $20 and invested it again, I knew it was risky but I felt I had purpose this time. I was extremely successful, getting a two hundred dollar return which I invested again. I continued until I eventually started buying and taking over companies, to which I eventually became CEO here."
"Oh wow, why can't I remember that?" I held back tears.
He continued on. "During that time we became very good friends, you didn't like me for my money, especially considering I didn't have any at first. I began to learn more about you; you were in such a bad situation with your boyfriend who beat the shit out of you. You wouldn't let me do anything about it, saying it's not worth getting me arrested for fighting him. But I watched as things got worse and worse." He paused. "Eventually he beat you so bad that he pushed you down stairs and cracked your head open. That's why you can't remember anything. When you woke up you couldn't remember me at all. I shouldn't have left your side, but I had this grand scheme that I would become rich and powerful and sweep you off your feet, I wasn't anticipating you'd just disappear. I didn't even notice when you started working at my own company. I had become so obsessed with the power and being CEO, I forgot what my original goal was." He took my hands. "But now I remember."
Waking up after a huge company party Seraphine finds herself in bed with a man she has never met before, soon learning he is the CEO of her company!
