This Heart’s chamber is a large circular dome, only Illuminated by the shaky navy blue glow of the Heart in the center of the room. but despite the chamber being barren its floor is covered in dancing shadows that really shouldn’t be there as there’s nothing to block the light from the Heart.
Clack, clack, clack
A female figure begins to approach the Heart. Her face is covered in a dark magenta hood, with an impressive large mane of white hair snaking out the corners of it and a red face-mask further obscuring her face. Her garb is sleeveless and it continues down barely reaching her ankles and has a cut down the sides of her legs starting at the top of her thighs. She has an odd reddish brown skin color, and a Red metallic ring wrapped around her torso. As she gets closer to the Heart she raises her hand about to touch it.
An odd psychic wave ripples from its body, leaving an image in the mind of anyone that would be watching.
Intruder:
Clack, clack, VVVVVVRRR..
She had stepped on one of the many oddly placed shadows in the room surrounding the Heart, and The shadow underneath the intruder’s foot, violently shudders.
She jumps back just in time for the attack, The shadows leap off of the ground following her retreat, suddenly a vortex of black jagged blades.
Jack: You’re not coming a step closer
He had appeared from within the vortex of shadows, and now stood between her and the Heart.
The dark attack had mercilessly slashed her across the face, ruining both her mask and hood, as well as leaving a deep gash that across from her cheek to the right side of her head, She gingerly rubs the wounded part of her face and glares angrily at the guardian’s sudden appearance.
Intruder:
Jack: Wait a second, you’re human?
He had expected some monstrous abyssal capable of appearing this close to the Heart, not a strange woman.
Intruder:
Jack: Whoever you are you shouldn’t be in here, Was thinking something dangerous had gotten in here.
Under the Intruder’s hand the deep wound healed itself, and she had slightly turned to hide her other hand behind her, that had torn a rift in the air behind her.
Jack: What are you do-
Ripp
Her hand comes through another rift, grabbing Jack’s shoulder from behind. He turns to the disembodied hand grasping his shoulder turning away from the intruder. Giving her the opportunity to strike.
Rippp
She moves her right hand from her face and with it carves another rift in the air leading to the other blindspot beside Jack and dives in.
There, the intruder her right hand continues its motion tearing space straight towards Jacks neck
RiiiiiiiiiiiiIIIPPPPPPP
The left hand gripping his shoulder begins pulling him into the side of the Rift it came from, beginning to slice into him. Then it dawns on him.
Jack: She’s controlling rifts? An Abyssal in disguise?
Jack quickly turns to face her incoming attack.
The two rifts collide creating a deadly X where Jack stood.
-----
Neon: What do we have here?
Neon stood at the opening to a cave, the inside completely devoid of mana, Giving its pale inside a stark contrast to the orange stone of the canyon outside.
Neon: I think this is the place, mana’s been sucked dry, the stones’ colorless
Neon, quietly enters the cave, her footsteps bringing color back to the points she's stepped on in there.
And not long after finds what she's been searching for a large rift hidden among a couple colorless rocks. Before realizing that there was a second much larger Rift right next to it.
Neon: Is there another Abyssal out here? Frick..
Neon: I better call Dad
She reaches into her pocket and pulls out her phone to call Jack, but an error screen pops up on the phone before it dies, the mana beginning to leak from it, before dissipating in the air.
Neon: Uhh is that mana leaking out of my phone?
----
The intruder vigorously strikes at Jack, her fingers tearing open Rifts that both teleport her around Jack and instantly sliced through chunks of the wall and flooring coming in contact with the rifts' edges. Despite this he’s able to quickly avoid each attack even when she struck at him from behind him. This chamber covered in shadows gave him a secret advantage. His shadow sense, a magical ability of his allowing him to extend his senses through shadows, as if the darkness were his own eyes. The same ability that let him avoid her first attempt to kill him.
Despite her ability to cut through any material, and be in any position. In this room Jack had no blind-spots for her to exploit.
And through this sense he saw his chance to counter attack. Her hands always appeared with the distant rifts as she created them. As the next attack missed he grabbed her arm, surprising the intruder as he pulled the rest of her through the rift. With one hand grasping her arm he kept her unable to escape the his next attack
Jack: Let's put an end to this farce
The intruder pulled back her free arm and began to swing aiming to send a rift through his throat. But Jack was faster, His cloak twisted into a spear and with it he struck her in the abdomen. And once there he activated a similar technique he used on his staff to make it a scythe. In the instant it struck her, the shadows under his cloak swiftly flowed into her and Silvered.
//Shadow Impact: Omega//
Intruder:
The Silvered shadows blew a large chunk out of her stomach, and shattered the red ring around her torso. The shock from the hit forced her to stop her attack and jump away from Jack, clutching the glowing wound.
The attack seemed to not be done either as glowing cracks began forming on her, originating from the crater in her stomach. The intruder glared murderously at Jack. Jack was a bit surprised that she was still standing, that spell was a finishing move that was capable of instantly felling giant Abyssal.
Jack: Still holding up huh?
Jack reached his hand into the shadows of his cloak, and partly pulled out his staff, its tip still inside the magically deep shadows filling the underside of his cloak.
//Shadow Armament: Omega//
As he approached her, the shadows under his cloak silvered as he pulled out his staff in a sweeping motion, the silver darkness from the cloak sticking to his staff, forming that familiar arc, turning his staff back into scythe. His aura beginning to flow from him as he focused his magic for his next big attack.
Jack: This should keep you down.
Intruder:
Their eyes met, and Jack paused, she had a wild look in her eyes, and grin of equal intensity despite her precarious situation.
The skin of her face violently unraveled, revealing her true otherworldly visage underneath.
