When was the last time Sebastian had gone on a movie date? He couldn’t remember. He hadn’t been going to the cinema much, anyway. He preferred to watch a movie at home—alone, didn’t have to commute to a cinema, didn’t have to buy tickets, he could be naked while watching, and he could have whatever as snacks.
Made him wondering, though. How about Chester? Did he like movies, too? Did he like cinema, or did he prefer to binge at home? There were a lot of things he didn’t know of Chester—and he was eager to learn about him.
He ruffled his hair, feeling self-conscious. Did he dress too extra? He was wearing something simple, though. Black-and-white stripes T-shirt topped with denim jacket and brown slim fit chino. Wait, maybe the denim a little overkill, after all. What was the correct outfit to go for a date, anyway? He hadn’t gone on a date for so long—not that he went to a lot of dates in general.
While he was deep in his thoughts, Chester arrived. He was wearing a light brown loose knit cardigan over his white tee, paired with black slim fit jeans. His outfit was casual, yet neat. Such a handsome man, Sebastian couldn’t help but think. Suddenly Sebastian felt like a try-hard.
“Hey,” Sebastian greeted; his movement stiff. Chester couldn’t help but realized the younger man’s nervousness. He huffed. How long was Sebastian going to act nervous like that?
Chester bumped his fist on Sebastian’s chest. “Don’t be too tense, Seb,” he reminded, smirking, before sauntering in towards the cinema.
Well, that left Sebastian’s heart pounding so loud it could be heard from afar.
Pressing his lips as to suppress a smile, he bounced away to follow Chester. What a good day already.
If he were to go watch a movie in cinema, Chester loved afternoon showing times. He loved to leave the cinema at around dusk—either he came out to the sunset or the night just started. If anything, he hated leaving a cinema when the sun was still up—too bright, he would say.
Their only plan was for a movie—they didn’t plan for lunch, or dinner, or anything else. So, they met up right before the movie. After all, Chester only wanted to thank Sebastian for taking care of him.
As the light in the studio dimmed, the movie started. The two of them seated on their seats next to each other; arms colliding on the small armrest. Though surprised the first time their arms touched, Sebastian immediately eased up. Chester came into conclusion that the only reason Sebastian was always nervous was because of their first meeting.
The first time they met, Chester had been rude—simply because Sebastian was an Alpha. Yet, Sebastian tried his best to be on good term with him, even though he was wary that Chester would dislike him. Suddenly, Chester was filled with shame. If he didn’t want the younger man to be constantly wary of his reaction, then he should also show how comfortable he was with Sebastian’s presence. He shouldn’t let Sebastian did everything.
So, he decided that maybe it was time for him to open himself. Well, sure, he didn’t see them becoming anything more—yet. But at least he knew they could be friends.
So, Chester scooted to the left, narrowing the distance between them until only the armrest—where their arm touched—were their distance. He knocked the back of Sebastian’s hand softly, causing the man to divert his attention towards Chester.
“Bet you wanna hold my hand, cheesy boy?” Chester whispered, poking fun at the other man as his smile grew.
Covering his mouth with his free hand, Sebastian chuckled in embarrassment. “You bet,” he challenged. “Can I?”
Chester shrugged, pretending to be nonchalant. “Just this once,” he said, trying so hard to sound like his usual reluctant self. Well, Chester had expected that request, and he didn’t mind the slightest. But, well—pride. That was the only thing stopping him from asking directly.
So, Sebastian scooted his hand, entwining their fingers with each other and clasping Chester’s hand. Chester’s hand was cold—it felt nice on his warm hand. Well, the only time he had touched Chester was when he was on heat—and his body was burning—but, he wondered if Chester’s hands were naturally colder than others.
Holding hands on cinema—romantic, right? But, well—tiring, also.
When Chester tried to position his elbow on a comfortable way, Sebastian thought Chester wanted to let go. So, Sebastian did—which kind of disappointed Chester, as he thought his movement was making Sebastian questioning himself again.
Huffing, Chester scooted, finding a good sitting position. When he did, he slipped his arm into the crook of Sebastian’s arm, linking their arms together. He leaned his head on Sebastian’s shoulder, grunting. “I didn’t say you have to let go, dumbass,” he whispered.
Surprised that Chester read his mind and didn’t want to let go, Sebastian chuckled. “Ah, sorry,” he said, rubbing his cheek on top of Chester’s head a little, inhaling the sweet scent of the Omega.
In the end, they stayed like that for the whole movie, even though it wasn’t the most comfortable position to sit for the rest of a one-and-a-half-hour movie.
