Nilay "Nil" Rao is a 13 year old American pre-teen in Cary, NC and is desperately unlucky. Picked on in school, not as smart as his fellow peers (a fact that drives his father mad) and abandoned by his own mother, Nil doubts that his life will ever change for the better. That is until he receives a mysterious gift from his long-lost mother, Dia. A red controller that seems to hold the key to summoning humanity's greatest gift or ushering its' ultimate destruction.
Videogame avatars can be summoned and controlled via the controllers and Nil must learn how to use is quickly! These GHOSTS are capable of doing anything with the push of the right button and many will stop at nothing to control them.
Now, Nil will be introduced to a world that is far more exciting than anything he has ever imagined. It's going to be…MASSIVE.
