Was my friend forever lost in the clutches of that monster?

How did he manage to win again even when he lost?

He was torturing me more than he ever did before by putting the blame for all of this on me.

Standing there watching what was once my friend circling above my head I thought about some possible solutions.

She wasn't attacking ME, was she? Maybe my friend was still in there, maybe I could save her.

Sensing my thoughts, the raven started approaching me.

I thought I would see some light in her eyes, some reason, but all I saw was the red glow of evil.

As I stared at the bottomless pits that were her eyes, I knew that she wouldn't stop haunting me, she would be my new raven, my new torturer.

She would destroy everything I touched and wherever I went she would bring death and destruction.

The demon's plan was perfect, to keep me alive, to torture my soul. To be tortured by someone who was once your closest friend and to have on your conscience so many deaths, it is a fate worse than death.

She kept taunting me, but I could feel that she had orders from her master not to kill me.

At least I would get a chance to save her, but what would I do in the meantime?

Would I just let her slaughter innocent villagers?

How could I stop her?

I wasn't even sure where to go because I knew for sure that she would follow me, and I wasn't sure what she was capable of.

The picture of my friend covered in red, joyfully drinking the villagers' blood was engraved in my mind, and I didn't want to see any similar gruesome scenes ever again.

I decided to go to my family's old cabin in the woods; there should be no people near the cabin so it should be okay.

There had to be a way for me to save her, I mean there was always a way out! I never thought I would be able to win the battle against the demons, but I did send them back to Hell.

"I have to find a way to help her! It is my fault she is this foul creature! The blood she spilled is on my hands." I thought to myself.

As much as I tried to use my third eye, I couldn't. I mean I could use it, but I couldn't see the answer. I felt as if my power was in some way blocked.

Over the years, I have gathered some knowledge of the supernatural, and I did try out a few things but nothing seemed to work. She just kept staring at me with those creepy, red eyes with no sign of recognition.

At least she hadn't harmed anyone, probably because there was no one there.

After a few weeks spent at the cabin, I learned the terrible truth- she did actually harm someone.

One day when I went out for some fresh air after hours of going through the books in search of a cure, I saw that she was covered in blood and eagerly chomping on some eyeballs. I really hoped they weren't human eyeballs, I mean there were no humans around, or, so I thought.

Unfortunately, it turned out that the raven flew far and reached the village closest to the cabin, and all the time we were there she was feeding on human flesh.

I was a murderer. By not stopping her or killing her I shared the responsibility for all the lives she took.

I never noticed the havoc that she wrecked on those innocent people because I had been so focused on saving her.

Another reason was the fact that after finishing her gruesome meals she always washed up in the nearby stream, covering her tracks.

I couldn't postpone making a decision any longer; something had to be done immediately.

Since I hadn't found what I was looking for, another solution occurred to me.

I saddled up my horse and headed for our favorite spot.

It was a towering cliff - not the same as the one where I learned the horrible truth, this one was much more beautiful and it was our favorite spot in the land. I thought that maybe going there would jog her memory.

It's not looking good, and well at least she has a plan against this Raven even after turning it. I'm liking the writing a lot in conveying that sense of dread within the story.

Imagine this.

You're drowning in your own fear. Anxiety builds up like a small electrifying spark and slowly spreads throughout your body. Goosebumps prickle your skin as your mind races, looking for a place to run and hide. But as your feet hit the pavement, you see it.

Black as death and eyes like the devil. The raven follows you wherever you go.

Sane minds having insane thoughts is a dangerous game.

But what can you do when hell has come to play?
