Madora smiled and nodded. She felt good about Arden being in charge.
She didn’t know him too well, but she did feel a sense of safety and knew everything would be secure with him there.
The night grew darker and colder as the Humaine children settled down for some rest, Arden keeping the first watch.
He sat on the edge of camp, his keen eyes diligently scanning their surroundings.
