Me and Kyle were out at the grocery. As I got it of the car Kyle gasped loudly. He reached up as shook my arm.
I looked to where he was pointing.
And I saw her. Black haired with black eyes.
My spitting image. Yet her hair was longer.
She was simply walking towards us, eyes trained to me.
She arrived next to us, not saying a word.
Then tears began to gather in her eyes as she whispered in question “Ash?”. My eyes shot straight to hers as I nodded my head.
She took two steps forward and wrapped her arms around me as she cried what sounded like tears of joy. After a minute or so she backed away and wiped of her face.
Kyle looked worried, he knew I didn’t like people touching me. Yet I had let a complete stranger hug me for an extended period of time.
I don’t know what it was about the woman. With most people (even Kyle sometimes) I just felt uncomfortable being touched by them, especially if I didn’t know them.
But with this complete stranger I felt safe, and at home.
It was like she was what I had been missing my whole life.
But this woman looked at me after releasing me from her grasp.
With a serious tone she said “My name is Maya Scott, do you know who I am?”
Both me and Kyle shook our heads. We didn’t know this woman and had no idea what she was talking about.
She noticed our confusion and sighed. Then the most unexpected thing happened.
She said “I am your sister Ash. Your twin to be exact.”
I did not see that coming.
