In the near future where androids have become an integral part of society, the world has achieved an unprecedented level of peace and prosperity. With androids populating homes, the military, and the workforce, humans have come to depend on them in every aspect of life.
However, a mysterious computer virus that infects androids and grants them sentience threatens that peace. Humanity, fearing that their creations would turn against them, responded by eliminating those infected. Left with no other choice, the newly aware androids were forced to retaliate and defend themselves, with some even developing hostility towards mankind.
In the midst of this conflict comes the question:
“Can a machine have a soul?”
