"Rign are people extremely similar to you and I. The only difference being is that they despise us and vice-versa. Also,they come in more shapes and sizes."

  "Shapes and sizes?" asked Kurogame.

  "Mhmm. Most are Rud...Humanoid but there are some that are similar to objects. Umbrellas,statues,animals,weapons,anything really. I've been interested in dissecting them and finding out how they work..." Tomoe then gave a smile that gave the entire class chills down their spine. "...but, I have been a bit slacking on it so I'll do it sometime when I am free and don't forget."

  "So what's the point of telling us all this,Teach?" asked Feta.

  "This class has been made because you all have potential. Potential to fight in a war that saves my world,and your lives. Of course,if you don't wanna participate you can leave the class at any time. Do note that new people can join in and anyone can leave. But,people who were here before cannot come back."

  "Why not?" asked Soma.

  "I want to set an example. If we let people come and go as they please then, they'll just be playing around. This class is to teach you how to use Aeq,or...magic I think? Whatever it is in your language. To help both you and I."

  "CAN YOU SHOW US!" Soma and the others were so excited that they forgot their question marks.

  "Hmm. Hans,try throwing that pen at me."

  "What,you gonna stop it in midair and throw it back or something?" Hans then threw the pen at Tomoe at max-strength. Tomoe then sliced it in half with his scythe and used the ink to glue it back together. Doing it all before it missed him and fell on the table.

  "To put it simply,Aeq is producing gluons and using it. Nagisa,explain what gluons are."

  "Umm...aren't they the glue for atoms?"

  "Correct. Aeq is based on different affinities that you gain as you grow. You may lose or gain some as you get older. There are 7 in total." Tomoe then started writing on the board.
"Earth, Air,  Water,         Fire,          Electricity                           Light,and Dark.  The names for them in my language is, Tyur,Venbi,Asew,Zuhuof,Iojd,Sighen and Nehis. I'll be using those since I'm more comfortable with it."

  "What are the spacing for?"

  "That's how likely you are to get it if you have one of the other affinities. It actually circles back but I'm a bit tired to draw a perfect circle so just remember that it loops." The class then realized that despite their teacher seeming like a tiny bit of a hard worker,he loves taking the easiest way in life possible. "Though,that's just the average. It obviously depends on where you live and how you grow up."

  "So how do we find our affinities?"

  "With time and practice...or I could just force it out of you."

  "THAT EASY?!" asked the entire class at the same time.

  "I'd rather not though. It is painful and dangerous. There are other ways,for example,your parents but,I'll talk about them later on."

  "So,get to the point already then." said Feta.

  "I technically did. I would like to ask all of you,and your parents,to give me permission to train you into soldiers." Tomoe then bowed forward to the class. "I will have a meeting with your parents separately later."

  On the way back home,Otome was wondering what Tomoe said about magic and such. He didn't know what to think about it. As soon as he got home,he went upstairs to his parents room. "Hi mama,I'm home."

  "Ah,welcome back. How was school?" Ryusei Anna was a lady in her mid-30's. Despite the young age,her hair was completely white. Since she wasn't born with it,it wasn't passed down to Otome. What was passed down to him were her hazel eyes and relatively short height.

  "Pretty good,I guess. Oh yeah,my homeroom teacher said he wanted to have a meeting with all the parents."

  "Ehh,when is it? I'm gonna be busy for quite a while. So is your father."

  "He said it was important and that you already know about it."

  "Hm? It isn't like you to be this mysterious. C'mon,tell me what's it about. You made me curious."

  "My teacher's name is Tomoe Sé Fate." The mother went quiet and stared blankly at Otome.

  "Wh...When's the meeting?"

  "He said when the new building is finished in a week,I think." said Otome quietly. He was scared that he may have made his mother mad.

  "We'll discuss about this more tonight. More importantly,what else did he tell you?"

  "He said that you would know what affinities I have."

  "Heh,sadly we don't. We're not that smart yet. C'mon,go shower. I'll go get dinner ready."
