“How’d he do?” Jeremy asked as he walked up to Kate.

“Really well,” Kate replied, looking at the horses in the pasture. “Riptide actually wanted to run. He loves going on the trail ride.”

“That’s good. But will he take that passion to the track? He may be telling you he wants to be a cross country horse.” Jeremy smirked.

“He’s going to like it! I’ll work him on the trails a few more times and then we’ll try him out on the track again.” Kate defended herself.

“I’ll believe it when I see him actually run out there.” With that, Jeremy walked away.
