Book 1: Chapter 7 (Last Chance)

Book 1: Chapter 7 (Last Chance)

Dec 22, 2020

Susana

I walked through the hall expertly. I found my father's room without a problem. I knocked. Timothy answered. "Timmy!" I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him. I let him go after a good squeeze. "Tell my father the my suitors want to meet you, so you must be excused." Timothy's eyes widened. "I know I'll explain later. Now hurry up." He disappeared into the room.

He stepped out again calmer than before. I grabbed his arm and left him in the direction of the kitchens. He started to protest. "Don't. I know you haven't been eating properly. And you promised, so don't." At once he shut up and let himself get pulled by me. I ordered some food be brought to the parlor and grabbed a loaf of corn bread for us to share. It was still warm.

I carefully split it in half. I handed him his half and bit a chunk off of mine. It seemed to melt in my mouth. It was light and delicious. I could tell, Margret, Timothy's mother had made it. We continued to eat in silence. I finished first. "Now, Timmy listen. I did not pick these suitors. You know my parents. There are five of them. Anyway they found out about you and they want to meet you." I said quickly. He nodded. I reached up to brush some crumbs off his cheek.

"I understand Sue. We know this would have never worked." I looked at him in shock. He was the one who pursed me. How many times has I said those exact words to him? "Don't talk like that! You did not try so hard just to lose me. I love you Timothy. A couple guys isn't going to change that." I argued. Timothy looked away. "No Susana. I. . . I reject you. I can't be the cause of your pain anymore. I guess I have to love you from afar." Tears welled up in my eyes. How dare he?! I pulled him into a hug.

"Susana don't do this." He groaned. "Then grant me one request before you go." I bargained. He sighed, his perfectly sculpted chest rising and falling. "Fine." I grinned. "Kiss me. I want to remember you with a kiss." He nodded. I ran my hands up his arms, and rested them on his shoulders. He wrapped his hands around my waist.

I pushed my lips against his, trying to reel him in with my passion and desire for him. He groaned, and slipped past my shields, his tongue caressing mine.

Nicholas

I couldn't process what I was seeing. My little dove was kissing a man. He was probably Timothy. I watched them in awe, while I mentally took notes. She likes hands on her thighs, ass, and waist. Check! She likes deep kisses. Check! She uses tongue. Check! And so on and so on, until I had a mental list of does and don'ts. Then I decided to interrupt them.

"Susana! I was looking for you." I called walking up to them. They reluctantly broke their embrace. "Nicholas! I didn't see you there." Her cheeks were tinted a cute shade of pink. "Hey, I'm Timothy." The man held out a hand to me. He looked quite common. His only winning factor was probably his smile. What had drawn her to him? I shook his hand. His grip was firm. "Nicholas. Just call me Nic." He was formal enough. He seemed to understand I was her suitor, if I wanted I could take her away. I pulled Susana into a sideways hug, showing him she was mine. “How did you two meet?” I asked. “We should save the stories for the others. Let's go.”

Susana

That was so fucking embarrassing. I led both men to the parlor, not looking behind me to see if they had followed. I opened the parlor door and went to sit back in my original seat. Timothy sat in front of me, his head resting on my thighs. Nicholas sat next to the chair.

“Susana. Introduce me.” I groaned, putting my face in Timothy's. I sat back. “Arthur, Edward, William, Thomas, and you already know Nicholas.” I pointed at each person as I said their name. “Now Susana I'm just dying to know how you two met.” Nicholas laid on his stomach, his head propped up on his hands. I groaned. “It all started when I had just turned 15. There was an attempt on my life. My father assigned me Timothy as one of my personal guards. He tried to get to know me, but I was the one to give him the cold shoulder, until I guess I realized I had developed feelings for him. We dated in secret for a little more than two years when my father found out. He forbid me from seeing him.” I snorted with laughter.

“As if that was enough to keep us apart. We continued to see each other. After about another year my father found out. He. . .He tried to enroll Timothy for war.” My voice shook with anger. “I argued with my father for many days, so I could get Timothy back. We settled on him working for my father, but I had to at least try the courting thing.” I looked up from my intertwined fingers. Timothy was looking at me. His feelings written on his face. Mine mimicked his with heartache and longing.

“I caught them kissing, now their in their own private world.” The bubble of calm around me finally popped. “Nicholas stop. Your the most annoying guy I know, and trust me I know a lot. That kiss was ours, not yours to share with the world.” I huffed out a breath. “Susana he's your suitor, possibly your future husband, if he wants to talk about that kiss he can.” I stared at Timothy with my mouth open. I was like a fish out of water my mouth opening and closing, but nothing coming out. I finally closed my mouth.

“Wow. He shut her up just like that.” Nicholas said with awe. My fury rose to volcanic levels, and I was about to erupt. “Sir, I advise you stop. She is going to go off. You're not going to like it when she does.” Timothy warned. Nicholas laughed. “Me not like it. With an ass like that how can I not like it.”

That was it. I was a fury of nails and teeth. I had Nicholas pinned under me. I raised a hand to slap him. “You need to stop annoying me or next time will be worse. I'll let you off with a couple slaps and maybe a scratch on that perfect face of yours.” I grinned, lost in the excitement of catching him off guard. “Worse? It can't get worse than this position. I like the way you're straddling me. You must have good practice.” Nicholas was taunting me. He had no right.

I let my hand crack against his face, enraged. “Don't ever speak to me like that. Maybe I should ruin that pretty face. Such a shame tho, I kind of started to like it.” Suddenly we were rolled over. Nicholas was on top of me, and easily held my hands above my head. “Let me go.” I growled. I shifted my hips trying to unseat him, I only achieved a groan from him, and an energy depletion.

“Let me go you sick bastard.” Nicholas grinned down on me. What should I do? I should seduce him, distract him. I hated the idea, but I wanted to be set free more. I slowly licked my lips drawing his attention there. I continued thrashing, but this time with a purpose. My dress succeeded in slipping far enough that Nicholas could see my gold bra. I watched is adam's apple bob. “Will you let me go.” I breathed the last part turning into a moan.

His hands immediately let me go. I wiggled from under him. I kicked him in the crotch. He howled him pain holding his precious jewels. “God I hate stooping that low.” I groaned. I looked at the other guys. They were staring at me like I was some goddess. “What?” I asked. ''Your dress one, and two you looked hella sexy when you did that. I can't help but wonder what you would look like under my body, or on top if you like it like that.'' Thomas said chuckling to himself. I flushed an unholy red and fixed my dress. ''I wasn't thinking. I did all that because I'm impulsive.'' I said quickly. Timothy gave me a knowing smile and rolled his eyes.
