The sweet smell of flowers in the shop, the warm breeze on my face, the chatter of people in my favorite restaurant. It was such a wonderful day, and I was going to make the most of it. I was going into the forest today, and as usual, I was going to drag Ciel along with me. I was planning on going further today, maybe even far enough to see the base of Honeydew Mountain. My mother has always told me not to get close to Honeydew Mountain, but she has never told me why. Today I would venture past eagle rock, all the way to the base of Honeydew Mountain, and nobody- not even my mother, could stop me. And of course Ciel will be helping me, because without him I would barely be able to get past the bitter bobble bats. We call them that because of how bitter and mean they can be, and because they’re heads bobble around while they sleep. I know it’s a bit weird, but we are pretty weird people anyways. But honestly, I’m probably a lot weirder than Ciel. Ciel is actually really smart, and he’s always in the library reading something. Whenever I mess something up he knows how to fix it, or what to do to help. He’s great, but even he doesn’t know what the deal is with Honeydew Mountain. Everyone says it’s “dangerous” and that we “shouldn't go near it”. Like, what’s up with that? It just a mountain! What harm could a silly old mountain do?
