Annoying Boy

ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 2

ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 2

Dec 26, 2020

It took a while for me to get away from the seniors. After the chase, I make my way back to the rooftop to clean the mess I was forced to leave. While cleaning the door swings open once again. I look up to see two girls walk up to me, one having her eyes glued to the ground while the other is excited behind her. Confessing? Could be.

The first girl approaches me, head still hung down as she handed me a letter with a heart sticker on it. I stared at the letter for a couple of seconds before looking back up at her. I continue looking at her before noticing two guys hiding behind the door. I sigh as I realize who they are. Hoseok and Jaemin. They're probably here with the girls and rooting for their friend on from afar.

I look back at her. ''You know, you can look up at me if you're trying to tell me something.'' Annoying. She doesn't move for a couple of seconds before swinging her head up. I flinched. Just a little though. ''Could you please read what I have written in that letter? I know it's probably pointless to give it to you.'' She breathes in. ''but I wanted to try because I don't want to leave this school and then regret not giving it to you.''

I look down on her name tag. Park Chaeyoung. She's in the same class as me. I don't remember her face but I do remember her name. Quite popular in our class. ''Chaeyoung...'' I mumble out as I look up at her and her eyes widen in shock. ''Yeah-'' She clears her throat. ''I'm Chaeyoung. Park Chaeyoung.'' She smiles as her friend starts giggling in the background.

''If you knew it was pointless then why didn't you just give up?'' I ask her in a cold tone as I give back the letter to her. I walk past her but don't get the chance to get very far. Her friend grabs my hand, making me stop as she glares up at me. ''Hey, shouldn't you at least reject her in a right and mannered way?''

I sigh before shaking her hand off of me. I glare back down at her before turning around to look at Chaeyoung, who is already looking back at me. ''I don't have any interest in you. I don't know you. I've never even looked at you and only remembered you by your name.''

''I'm not going to apologize for not giving you the right answer. If you're going to confess then expect a no like you expect a yes. It's your fault for even liking someone you barely know.'' I bow down my head and turn around to walk away. I can hear a little cry but I don't look back. It's better that way. Even if I started dating her I wouldn't make her happy. I would probably annoy her.

I walk towards the door and that's when Jimin and Hoseok decide to come out of hiding. Jaemin runs towards me and as soon as he gets to me he grabs me by the collar. ''Don't you think that was a little selfish?'' He starts. ''She at least tried. She tried to confess to someone, knowing damn well that it was pointless. She was brave enough to walk up to you and tell you her feelings. The least you can do is apologize!'' Jaemin's face has become red and veins on his neck are about to pop.

''As I said, it's her fault for liking someone she barely knows. I rejected her in that way so she'll understand.'' Jimin's eyebrows crash in confusion. ''What?'' Hoseok walks up to us and grabs onto Jaemin's hand. ''Jaemin, stop. Let's calm down and go comfort Chaeyoung instead. Please, let's not start a fight.'' Hoseok begs Jaemin and then his hand loosens around my collar but doesn't fully let go. ''Apologies.'' He says in a harsh tone.

I push his hand off of me and start walking off. ''Jaeguk-ah!'' I hear him screaming from behind but choose to ignore it. I then hear his friends trying to stop him, convincing him to just drop it. ''Jeon Jaeguk! Say sorry, you fucking jerk!'' I shut the door to silence his screams. I breathe in and out before putting my hands in the pockets of my pants. I walk down the stairs while thinking; ''Everything is so annoying.''

Instead of going straight home, I go for a walk around the city. I walk and walk, not really know where I'm headed. I have no place to go to. School is chaotic, home is loud, people around me are annoying. Everything is just annoying. ''Should I just go home?'' I think to myself before coming to a stop to look up at a small cafe. It looks calm.

I walk up to the front door and enter the cafe. I look around and find a good table with no one around. I sit down, placing my bag on the table and then look around to take a better look. My eyes ended up looking at the cash register with a worker behind it. I check in my pockets to look for money but nothing. I then search my bag to not find anything there either. I sigh in annoyance.

I just sit there. Looking around the cafe without ordering anything. I take out my phone to scroll through social media. Nothing interesting. I can then feel a tap on my shoulder. ''Sir, are you going to buy anything?'' I look up to see a man with pure black hair. Handsome. He could be popular among the costumers. ''Oh.'' I simply say with a blank mind. ''I wanted to order something but I guess I can't. Maybe I should just leave.'' I say as I grab my bag but he stops me.

''Why is that? You can stay here for as long as you want. Well, you'll have to leave when we close though.'' He smiles and I put my bag back on the table. ''I just-'' I scratch my nose in embarrassment. ''I don't really have any money.'' The worker nods his head in response and then says; ''You know what, wait here.'' He then walks away. I just sit there, not really looking at anything special.

I hear footsteps nearing and, in response, I look up the see the same guy but he's holding a glass. ''Here.'' He says as he puts the glass on the table. ''It's on me.'' He smiles at me before I look down at the glass. ''I wasn't sure what you liked, so I just got hot choco.'' I grab the class of hot choco and look at it for a couple of seconds before looking up at him. ''This is alright.''

''Well, most teenagers buy this out of everything on the menu.'' He says before continuing, ''I'm going back to work now.'' I look down at his name tag that says; ''Kim SeokJun - Manager''. I look back up at him. ''Thanks, Jun hyung.'' He smiles and then walks off. I sip the drink and feel the heat on my tongue. It's nice. It's somewhat bitter but sweet. It's hot but not burning my tongue. I take out my homework and do a little work while drinking the hot drink.

After some time, I've finished my choco and then stand up. I grab the papers and put them in my bag before walking towards the door. ''Jun hyung,'' I raise my voice loud enough for Jun to hear me but not loud enough to disturb the people around me. Jun looks up from the counter. ''Thanks for the drink. Next time I come here I'll pay for it.'' Jun smiles while waving at me. I walk out and it has gotten dark. I find it peaceful when it's dark and no one's out.

I'm walking home when I see a couple of teens standing around in a circle. I squint my eyes to see better and then realise who it was. I turn left to another street but then I feel a hand on my wrist. I quickly turn around and see one of the guys holding it. ''Hey guys, look who it is.'' He says with a grin as I look at him with tired eyes.

Seojun walks up to me and smirks. ''Hi, little bunny boy. How are you doing this evening?'' He grabs my face and stares into my eyes ''I want to talk. I know we came across as, I don't know, aggressive. I just want to sort things out. How about that?'' I sigh and nod in agreement without much thought. He grabs me by the hair and drags me into a dark alleyway. One of his friends kicks me in the back as Seojung lets go off of my hair. I fall on the ground and then look behind me.

I didn't get much time to look at them or curse them out. They all start kicking and hitting. I just let it happen. What's the point in fighting back? They're so much bigger than me and I'm alone. All I know is that this will leave bruises and cuts. I feel numb and cold. I don't think about what they're doing at this point and blackout.

(Author's POV)

He runs, not caring where he is nor where he is heading. He runs through the streets of Seoul, lost and cold. He has already passed by so many people and all have given him weird looks, but he doesn't care. He just runs where ever his feet take him.

He's annoyed. He's mad and tired of everything. His parents are shit and then the kids at his school are worse. Jaeguk has never felt so helpless in his life. He knows he should be used to this but after being kicked and hit, he knows for sure that life is shit.

He continues running till he's met with a crosswalk and at the same time the streetlight goes green. It gives him a good opportunity to stop and take a breather. He looks down at his feet to realize he isn't wearing any shoes nor socks, therefore, his feet sting because of the cold pavement. Jungkook guesses that Sejun and his friends must have taken them. They sting so much that it annoys him.

His feet are killing him. He just wants to go somewhere safe. He doesn't feel safe at school nor at home. He doesn't feel safe anywhere. He's annoyed and just wants to scream in pain. He sighs as he looks up to meet eyes with another guy at the other side of the street. The stranger looks drunk by the way he's carrying himself. The stranger's eyes seem to be sparkling under the bright moonlight. They're all red and buffy.

The stranger seems like he's in his 20's. His hair is dark. His hoodie and pants are black. His shoes are black. He's like a shadow but you can see his face clearly.

They continue looking at each other, staring each other down. Complete strangers but carry the same pain. He doesn't know why but he has this annoying feeling. It's like this stranger isn't any good for him but he doesn't know why. It's too painful to look at him.

⚠️THIS STORY DOES CONTAIN VIOLENCE, SWEARING, MENTAL ILLNESSES AND/OR OTHER MATURE THEMES SO I'M SORRY BUT IF YOU'RE NOT READY FOR THAT THEN PLEASE LEAVE.⚠️

Jaeguk is struggling through real-life problems and is finding everything a bit annoying.
Taehyun is a troublemaker that is also struggling through life problem but doesn't mind with the younger by his side.

I'm redoing this story and I hope I'll love it again like I did when I was younger.
