<This man before me acts like a grown man when in fact he's a child. He's a fifteen year old boy who went to war, a young master of his family, can make his own decisions and is messing with someone who wasn't his fiance. So, instead of facing this like a 'man would, he threw it for his grandparents to deal with?>
Scarlet was literally and utterly shocked at his words. Ian on the other hand thought that he had managed to scare her off from even thinking about breaking off the engagement. He will break off the engagement but not now. Not when he needs it to tie to him.
Scarlet reads his mind and sighs out heavily. She has seen many greedy men but not one so childish like him. It makes her want to punch him. She glances over to Candice and smirks. Candice's expression was very vengeful towards her. It tickled her heart just seeing it. The result didn't go as she wanted, but seeing that expression was enough.
"Very well," said Scarlet, "I shall go visit Old Master Polarmis soon. I bid everyone a farewell."
Scarlet quickly leaves the event as she no longer wants to be a part of it. As soon as she left, the princes arrived. This was also another reason she left. After seeing so many drama series, Scarlet knew that the longer things drag on, the more annoying it will become, that was one of the reasons why she wanted to cancel the engagement besides for revenge. Another reason why she left earlier, was because she didn't want to meet any of the princes. In this life, she wants to live a life that is quiet or doesn't involve higher authority. In her previous world, because she came in contact with those from the higher authority, she and Andy were constantly on the run, and that was also how their end came as well.
Her cousins, Uncle, and everyone else were somewhat in shock at what happened, but quickly recovered when they heard the princes had arrived. Especially her cousins, because they didn't want her to be stealing the spotlight from them.
Scarlet heads to her room and quickly changes her outfit. These days, the only place that was comfortable for her ever since she came into this world was the battle field and the blacksmith shop. As soon as she finished changing she heads out of her room. She suddenly heard bickering coming from the yard. It was Ian and Candice.
"Do I mean nothing to you?" she cried out softly, "How could you act like that in front of everyone?"
Ian grabs her hand and places it on his chest, "Your wrong Candy... I only did it for us. You are the only one I love."
"Then why are you keeping the engagement?" She asked with a sad face.
"I still need her to help me rise in rank. Otherwise, why would I even beg her?"
"Really?"
Ian kisses her deeply before replying, "Yes my love. Once she is no longer useful to me and my family, I will dump her and come ask for your hand in marriage."
Candice smiles at him so lovely, "Oh, Ian."
"Candice..."
Without further ado, they started going wild in the yard. Scarlet wanted to hurl and was literally baffled by their actions and words.
<Are these two morons? Saying and doing such things right in the yard of the mansion? Whatever, not my problem if they get caught.>
Just before she could leave the mansion, someone stops her. It was Margaret. She was glaring at Scarlet, "What are you scheming?"
"What do you mean?" said Scarlet with an innocent face.
Margaret snarls at her, "First you frame me and Ann for stabbing you, and now you want to cancel the engagement? Just what are you up too?"
Scarlet chuckles at her, "Even if I am up to something, why should I tell you?"
"You!" Margaret wanted to strangle her, "Trash! Don't take things too far! You're just a lower2 while I'm a lower3! If you don't tell me, I'll just beat it out of you!"
She chuckles at Margaret. No wonder she thought that she was weaker than the twins of Huns, she was just a lower3. Margaret's eyes flared in rage as she heard Scarlet chuckling at her. Energy starts to surround her hand as she rushes toward her. She raises her fist high, ready to punch the life out of her.
<Got her!>
At the exact moment her fist was about to make contact, Scarlet disappeared from her sight and kicked her hard in the stomach. Margaret puked out the food she ate and rolled away on the ground. Her maids who were in hiding rushed over to her side, "Miss!"
Scarlet cleans off her leg that kicks Margaret and glares at her.
"Mind your manners Margaret. If you weren't a cousin, I would have killed you. But to save uncle's face, I will spare you. Act like this again, and I won't hesitate next time," said Scarlet, "I only give one warning."
Scarlet leaves the mansion. Margaret staggers as she gets up with the help of her maid. She couldn't stop coughing and soon she coughed out blood. She couldn't believe it. She was a lower3 while Scarlet should be a lower2. Did her level really go up during the war? If so, just how high did it raise?!
It was only noon, and the sound of metal being pounded was echoing loudly. Derek had skipped out on his lunch again. He was concentrating too much on the blade again. Scarlet chuckles at him as she approaches him.
<Hmm... Needs more pounding... Not sharp enough... More enforcement... Beef smells good, rice smells cooked... Wait, what?>
A set of beef curry with rice was put right in front of him. Derek's stomach growled in hunger. He looked up and saw Scarlet smirking at him.
"Is your engagement event over?" He asked.
Scarlet nods, "Eat. You skipped your lunch while working on the Rhohan blade again."
As they ate their food, Scarlet asked, "How far along?"
"Hmm, a few more reinforcements and it's done."
"So a few more days?"
Derek shakes his head, "It'll be done by tomorrow. Just have to pull an all nighter."
"Should I send a letter to Alan then?" Scarlet asks.
Derek nods as he says, "Please do."
She smiles at him, "Alright."
When they finished the meal, Scarlet took the dish to wish. Derek resumes his work without further ado. After she finished the dishes, Scarlet wrote a letter to Alan. The writing system here was different due to the languages. It was Mandarin, while the languages she knew were French, Italian, English, Geek, and Latin. She had tried to learn Mandarin, Japanese, Thai, and Arabic before, but Andy was better at it. Maybe because she was in this body that had memories, she could read and speak the language.
Scarlet pauses her writing and remembers that she needed to go visit the Polarmis Household. A thought ran in her mind causing her to smirk. As soon as she finished writing the letter to Alan, she took out another paper and started writing.
Scarlet couldn't help but chuckle as she wrote the letter. If things go to plan, the revenge she was going to have for the original will be glorious. All she needed was one person's approval to end the engagement.
When she went through the memories of the original, there was one person that popped up in her mind. She wasn't sure if this person would be an ally, but it was worth the try. The original had a good relationship with this person. If she was to send this letter to them, the chances of annulling this engagement without more interference will be wonderful.
As she finishes up on the letter, Scarlet read it one more time before sending it along with the letter for Alan. In a few days, she will go visit the Polarmis Household, and during that time, she needs to get ready. A storm was coming, and Scarlet was the one making it.
