Systems generally do not possess any form.
They are products of ideas or concepts condensed into a tiny, light orb. It seems similar to a "spirit" or a "soul" but with a different origin. Souls are born from the consciousness of the World Dimension while systems are manifested through Universal consciousness. It explains why systems could move freely across world dimensions by exchanging energies, but souls could only do so after passing away.
The forms of the systems are images that are later modified.
This explains why, when a poor soul encounters their system, they only see a nebulous dazzling ball of light or a spherical cloud of dust because an “idea” lacks a fixed form. Additionally, systems were given serial numbers rather than names. This is done to keep track of how many “ideas” the Universal Consciousness has generated.
After all, an “idea” is a genuine creation born from godliness. Its existence itself is perfect enough to become a minor god in a world dimension. Thus, systems are restricted quite strictly and can only interact through the world dimensions as observers.
When it gets the power to rebel, it has the potential to unleash havoc.
As previously mentioned, systems can have a vessel to establish a form. The vessel can be made of any material – be it a form that looks like an animal, a human, or an abstract – depending on the preference of the host. There is a division in Ninth Heaven that specializes in this area and is quite popular with female transmigrators.
Customization doesn’t take too much time and can be done in various ways. Hosts could choose to create a form from scratch by combining whatever they could see from the Market Place or just pick something that was already generated by other hosts. There are also default character forms like P*kachu and S*rlax.
In the case of Jin Wei, the system granted him complete freedom to select any vessel, leading to the system’s present shape. Jin Wei just sought to create something straightforward and practical without spending much money, so he came up with a design that could be moved anywhere without difficulty.
The system is depicted as a silver ball barely bigger than a sparrow with two bat-like wings, a twin tail, and expressive rounded pencil-drawn eyes with a thousand copies of expression emojis. During normal times, it would have the bored-eyed expression.
With its size, it could follow Jin Wei around without causing a blockage. It could also hide inside his pockets, perch on his shoulders, squat on his head, and many more actions that could not be executed if the vessel was larger. Jin Wei is quite satisfied with the outcome.
It actually attracted enough attention despite its unimpressive design that it once won the “Best System Vessel Award” and was repeatedly shortlisted in the same competition as well as other system-related competitions in the Ninth Heaven.
The personnel doing the assessment were oblivious of the pair’s scrutiny and simply tallied the points acquired by the soul from the realms. The computer displayed a seemingly endless of stream data bearing codes that only authorized people could decipher. Jin Wei had been in this place for so long and had seen the codes many times but he could still not comprehend it.
The data eventually ceased parsing after a considerable amount of time. The personnel did not hesitate as it flawlessly duplicated the numbers, code by code, disregarding human limitations. Jin Wei secretly praised the personnel in his heart as he watched the dainty fingers dance across the keyboard. The calming sounds of the keys clicking made him feel a bit sleepy.
It didn’t take long for the personnel to finish inputting the data. A progress bar appeared on the interface, steadily filling the smooth-edged rectangle icon with a numerical percentage placed on the left most side corner. The personnel withdraw their fingers from the keys and waited for the computer to complete the operation.
It has nothing to do right now, so it decided to look up to see who the soul it was conducting business with was. An image of a youth with a neat, slightly long, curly black hair and a silver ball perching on the youth’s hair like a nest came into view. When the personnel realized who the soul was, their eyes widened in surprise.
Isn't this guy the...
The presence of renowned individuals on the yellow springs may be regarded as plentiful.
Everyone eventually retires from life and passes away, but during the interim before reincarnation occurs where all souls aggregate, famous people could still cause a racket in the afterlife. Souls will only receive the Five-flavored Tea of Forgetfulness once they passed the test for reincarnation so during this time everyone still have their memories.
The list of notable individuals could be rather extensive. The vast majority of them are significant characters such as a country's president, a monarchy, award-winning celebrities, or soldiers and heroes who served a good term in their prior lifetimes. The majority of these folks have golden haloes that signify the number of merits they accomplished in their previous life.
Though, merits should not be equated as “good deeds”. Merits are defined as the soul’s ability to become ‘worthy’ by both the World Dimension and the Universal Consciousness, tagged as the ‘fated protagonists’.
Golden Haloed souls have privileges that they could bring to their next reincarnation.
Fame is not exclusive to those who have accomplished great things, but also to those who have committed the most heinous crimes. Murderers and molesters are so loathed in any society that everybody who comes across one will attack without hesitation. The dead won’t die again anyway so anyone would pitch in an attack.
These people often have the darkest colored halo.
Because the dark haloed spirits were deemed filthy by the Ninth Heavens, they were not permitted to cross the yellow springs without purification. The souls will be brought to the judgment chambers, where they will be thoroughly purified. Soul cleansing is excruciatingly painful as it eliminates every aspect of the soul until it reaches the pure state in which it was born with.
Continuing to the subject, the angel was astonished to see Jin Wei because it reminded them of an incident that took place in the past that nearly ruined the Ninth Heavens.
A tragic accident occurred in a newly established world dimension, killing countless people. The grim reapers were immediately dispatched to the crime scene to retrieve the souls before they get lost and be eaten by vengeful ghosts.
Among these spirits, it was claimed that there was a normal soul of a graduating high school student who seemed out of place. The youth's feeble and confused expression as it witnessed its own flesh crushed in a messed-up manner is somewhat depressing. He was just standing there, expressionless, staring about while everyone else was yelling or weeping.
He was taken out with the other souls and escorted to the Gates of the Afterlife.
When the Hell Guards inquired about his name and age, they were surprised to realize that he was not on the list of the Departing Souls and should have lived longer in accordance with The Book Of Life. They could bring the soul back but the youth’s body was already destroyed and cannot be restored to its original state.
The entire Ninth Heaven was in disarray. A displaced soul is not a small issue. In order to figure out what to do with the soul, they promptly consulted the Fates who were in charge of The Book Of Life.
Because the soul is supposed to live a lot longer, his role in his world dimension is perceived to be significant. Who knows what he might become in the future but his existence is comparable to that of a butterfly – a small flap of its wings could create countless possibilities.
He might not become renowned or as famous as those celebrities in the future, but the connections he might establish could have an impact on how the world turns out. Maybe, in his passing years, he will meet someone who would become the world’s best doctor in the future and it can be triggered by his trifling remark of good luck when they are walking to school.
Without this one conversation, that future might never occur.
His sudden disappearance will cause havoc to the timeline and might actually destroy that dimension.
There were a lot of reconsiderations before a solution came up. The death of the soul is in a state where it could no longer return so revival was thrown out.
Fortunately, the soul is a young one. It suggests that it was too young to influence the other dimensions. There is no fear in creating a chain reaction when there is no ‘starting line’ so they decided to erase the soul's information and have it entered the transmigration process.
In this way, the soul will never be part of any dimension but may freely enter the dimensions as an external being.
