Rosie Worth last slept a full night in the summer of 1870 when she was 5 years old. She recalled that night fondly as one where she dreamt of a ballerina who kept falling down the stairs. 

That was the last time Rosie remembered a dream.

The next morning summer turned to Autumn, and she never knew peace again. The spirits began to visit her—chattering about the goings on of their earthly relatives or moaning and wailing over their deaths.

At the age of five years and three months, Rosie helped the next-door neighbour find the cash her husband hid in the wall of their basement.

At the age of seven, she sent a letter to a lighthouse keeper, informing him where to find his wife's body.

When Rosie turned thirteen, she not only helped a grieving mother, she also kissed her first boy.

Sadly, that would be the last for many years.

At the ripe age of twenty, after years of incessant visits from spirits, she asked for their help in return.

And so Rosie founded a spirit detective agency where she solved cases for both the living and deceased.

On the twenty-third day of her twenty-fourth year, the sky turned black.
