(Warning: Talking about mature content and cringy cuddliness)
I wake up and, for the first time since my abduction, feel safe and warm. I cuddle deeper into the soft, furry pillows while my consciousness struggles to come out of the fog. For a brief second I think I'm home, which would make everything a bizarre dream. If this was all a dream then I'm not going to school today, it was just a stupid volleyball game. But, when I open my eyes I see that I'm in the aliens apartment/house whatever. Sitting up slowly I look around.
The bedroom is pretty simple with all the stereotypical appliances, all larger than normal. I consider just curling up on myself in the big bed and waiting for the alien to return. 'We could snuggle again and...' I flush and grip my shirt where my heart was. I wasn't used to it feeling so light and fluttery. I stifle a giggle unsuccessfully then frown. 'Not to mention, the irrational blinding trust towards my Master.' Even the thought that I call him Master so easily seems unnatural.' I shake my head to clear the thought process which was leading towards my dark past. The bullies. Now I definitely had to get up. 'Time to explore.'
Crawling to the edge of bed I look down to judge the distance, it's not as bad as a bunk bed, and jump down. I stumble wincing at my stiff back. 'Where's that ointment?' Going to the door, I look up at the doorknob. I have to stretch to reach it. I hiss through my teeth as it hurts my back but I'm able to turn the knob and open the door. Going outside the room I see that I'm at the top of some stairs. 'The pods are bigger than they look.' I think to myself. Climbing down slowly and stifle breathing hard from pain and strain, I find myself in a small hallway which leads to the living room.
I look over at the couch and flashback to our intimate moment. Fully awake and having time to contemplate the consequences I blush and cringe, 'Ugh why did I let that happen?! I feel so guilty, should I be?' I cross my arms protectively over myself. 'Did I do something wrong?' I turn slowly with uncertainty and then beeline to the counter where I see water, a note, and the ointment. I flush upon seeing it, 'he cares.' I stop focusing on nothing, 'I mean it's not like we had sex. But we touched each other... and I'm only sixteen! How old is he?! It shouldn't matter, I'm the age of consent I snicker not that it matters considering I'm not even on earth anymore.'
Climbing onto a stool I lay my head down on the counter thinking about how it felt when we kissed. His face changed, from a snout, to a human-like nose and lips... 'I'm so stupid!' I think gripping my hair and hit my head on the counter with a thud. 'I don't know anything about him! He kidnapped me! Injected me multiple times with who-knows-what, chained me up and then abandoned me in some nursery-esk place. He didn't ask how I got hurt and then...' I touch my lips with a soft sigh. 'I love him.' The thought jostles me, 'That's impossible it's too soon!'
I let out a frustrated sigh and ruffle my hair, 'Why is he so handsome and strong, I feel safe with and scared of him at the same time. What does he think of me? Am I just a toy to use and then ignore, or a human being? Living, breathing, that has emotions?'
"Ahg!" I exclaim out loud, scruffling my hair. "Why do I feel so weird?' I think going limp with a whimper.
"Must be tough." I hear a strange voice say through my collar, obviously female. I look up wide eyed to see a very cat-like alien with a pierced ear and a smug grin leaned against the counter in front of me. I don't dare move, unsure how to act or what to think. So I stare. 'She reminds me of an ocelot.' She grins teeth flashing and I tense wondering if I should look away. "Oh to be young and in love." She says mockingly throwing the back of her clawed hand to her muzzle, "Don't tell me he seduced you already, that'd be boring."
I open and close my mouth, I wasn't getting any hostility from her and I wasn't sure whether I should lower my head to anybody but Master. She didn't send any of the dominant vibes I was used to feeling from the aliens here.
When I don't react, she huffs, "That's just rude, and me trying to be friendly to you." I watch as she starts to leave, and finally gasp.
"Who are you?" In a quiet voice.
"Ah! So the precious, rare, priceless omega can speak!" She gets up in my face and I grip the counter leaning back a little horrified that she might be insane and about to bite my head off. "Not very omega-like to speak up like that! Are you sure you're not just pretending?" She points at me using a weird baby-like voice.
"Uh...I." I stutter not sure if I could look away, so I glance at the fridge and back a few times.
"Hmmm?" She presses. "You look like you have more questions, I'm definitely not convinced you're an omega."
"You're pretty intimidating." I confess somewhat embarrassed.
"Ahhh?!" She exclaims, pointing to herself, "Intimidating?" She points to her teeth and curls her claws in a look-at-them-way and not a I'll-slice-you-up-way. "I'm just joking," she says moving beside me to lean on the counter. "I'm an omega too, that's why it's so easy for us to talk."
"Right." I say sweat trickling down the back of my neck.
"It's also the only reason I'm allowed to be here." She pokes me, "I'm Selkie, named after the mythical seals in human lore, what's your name?" I blink at the Selkie part because seals were far-fetched to be named after when looking at the obvious cat-alien. She stares at me expectantly.
"Uh...my name is Sylvester." I cringe looking down, "yes like that cat."
"Cat?!" She exclaims laughing, "Why would your parents name you after a cat, you look nothing like one, nor do you act like one!" I look up at her insulted and confused. Then see her knowing smirk, "Now you can't say anything about me being named after a magic seal." She sighs looking at her claws and then looks at me again. "You being named after a cat is cool but what is the lore behind it?"
"Lore?" I echo wondering why exactly she was here. "I don't know, it means forest."
Her eyes get dreamy, "I tried really hard not to like you kid but it's settled, you're part of the clutter now."
I was still trying to figure out what clutter meant when it hit me, "Wait why'd you try not to like me?" I start scrunching my face up because of how fast everything is going.
"Oh, I was just joking about that, you have to meet the other Omegas!" She grabs my hand with her giant but soft paw.
"Stop!" I exclaim overwhelmed. Her ears flatten and then she just stares. "Too much information all at once! How do you know human "lore"? Why are you only allowed to be here if you're an omega? There's more? What are you and why are you here?!"
She grimaces in horror, "You mean you weren't told anything?"
I deflate, wincing from my back, "No it's been pretty fast paced since I got here."
She looks around then sighs, "I'm an alien just like the others here, I'm from a different planet though, it's a giant forest." Her eyes sparkle.
"So you're not the same as the wolf-like ones?" I ask and she bares her teeth.
"Of course I'm not the same species, we look nothing alike." I lower my eyes. "But. I. Guess. You wouldn't know that." She says with a sigh. "...Don't mention your species or your planets name." She says suddenly, "Some of the other aliens have biased opinions just based on those but they won't be able to place specifics."
I nod grateful for the tip. It's peaceful and I start to smile, she does have this weird pull to her. "Drink some water!" She exclaims shattering the effect, "I'm supposed to be taking care of you, ugh. Lift your shirt," She grabs the ointment.
"Um, no." I say crossing my arms.
"Just the back of it." She huffs, "Don't worry I get the protectiveness, you only want your master to see you." She dips her claws in the ointment, "Come on, you want your back to get better, right?" I hesitate, a little worried, and then feeling safe crawl onto the counter.
Turning my back to her I lift my shirt, "Be careful," I warn but she's already applying the ointment. 'So gently,' I think. 'I guess it's because she knows so much.' "How do you know so much about humans?" I ask. The ointment feels nice, cooling and relaxing my back muscles.
"We have books and movies the same as you do for the animals on your planet."
I flinch, "So we're just seen as animals?" 'I knew it.' I think.
"Huh, sorry it came out that way, some aliens think so, I'm not sure yet. But you're way more intelligent than the animals we have back on my home planet. They can't even speak."
I feel a little better but worry out loud, "Does my Master see me as an animal?"
A sharp laugh makes me flinch, "tell me," She teases, "Did he kiss you, love on you," she giggles.
I flush and curl in on myself a bit more, "So, so what if he did?" "Well, do you treat your pets at home that way?"
"No!" I exclaim disgusted, turning I see the raised eyebrows of a smug expression. I sigh, "Let me guess, same here?"
She chuckles, "At least you know you're above the basic housepet in your world." I turn back around so she can't see my soft smile and blush.
"That makes me feel a little better."
"I know right this ointment is awesome!" I look back, "That too but no, what you said." I curl my hair with my finger, a bad habit that got me bullied for being "girly". "It made me feel better so, thank you." She looks pleased and embarrassed hurriedly presses the water in my hand. I gulp it down, then another, and another. "Gosh if you were so thirsty you should had some sooner!" She exclaims getting the fourth cup. "Eat some food." I look around but there's no food in sight. "Uh..." I start and then she slams a plate of fish down.
"Ta-da! I read that humans can eat raw fish!"
She had such a hungry look in her eyes that I ask, "Do you want to share?"
She laughs, "I was sharing with, you, dummy, now tell me how good it looks-I cut it myself."
It hits me how domestic and normal this must look, as I praise her and start eating the sashimi like fish. Scarfing it down, laughing at each other and talking about how I got here. I keep it short and light-hearted.
"Hey," I ask while chewing with my mouth open, "What are omegas?" I expected to have to clarify but as she licks her paws she answers.
"The cherished omegas can be anyone, a human like you is rarer than the wolf-life aliens, it's... when an alien is born with instincts to submit to an alpha. She continues licking for a while, "It's almost impossibly rare for my kind, I'm... I'm the only one of my species here." I stare at the deep sadness in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, it must be terribly lonely." I comfort.
She snorts, "I don't miss those hair-balls, they freaking sold me!" She bares her teeth, "The traitors, I hate them all!" It was so similar to my outburst I feel tears prick the corners of my eyes and then laugh hard once.
"You sound just like me!" I explain.
Her eyes widen and then soften, "The bullies were like my family huh?" We share a brief moment of pain before she smacks her clean paws together.
"Alright enough mushy, gushy stuff, let's go!"
Fear washes over me. "Selkie...I'm not so sure about this. I don't typically get along with people."
"Oh shush you'll be fine." She whispers, "Ready?" I close my eyes tights as she lifts her head scanning her collar. The double doors swish open.
