Some things about being a healer are very beneficial apart from being able to heal people you get a good amount of knowledge of monsters and you learn a lot. When I heard that something set a high level man flying 5 miles away I had to know what it was so I hurried over to the assignment desk in the adventures building, this is where you can sign up for missions and that sort of thing. As soon as I was able to read some of the assignments I chose the one that said “exploration in the mountains.” I figured that whatever did that to the night was a new type of monster and to any science based adventurer this was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

“I would like to sign up for this mission.”

The girl at the desk looked at me and said

“Sign here and write your class to the right of your name” I did as she said and went on my way.

I soon returned home and I sat down on my chair and was about to start preparing dinner when a sudden rumble made me run out of my house. I started to investigate to see what happened. It could have been a attack that was not aimed correctly or some sort of monster. I was to say the least very very wrong.

‘You bastard I told you to leave me alone I am never joining you people.” a man with a torn shirt started shouting at what seemed to be another person with long white hair and a pale face that looked as white as milk. The man that was yelling was in a crater that looked like it could have been made by a meteor.

To stared at each other for what seemed like ages then suddenly the white haired man disappeared and reappeared behind the other guy.

“We are not asking. You will join us or you will die, pretty ironic don't you think.” the white haired man punched the other man with the force incomprehensible to a mere human, this felt like gods were clashing, the ground was almost trembling in what was like fear and even the air seemed to avoid these two.

“Argh” the white harried man struck the other guy which was now visible to have grey hair but a youthful face.

“Die like the useless worm you are.” The white haired man continued to punch and kick the man at speeds I couldn't even register. Then in what looked to be a final attack the white haired man kicked the other person on to

“My house!!” what was at one point my house was now nearly completely destroyed. The white haired man walked out of the gigantic hole in my home and looked at me with eyes that seemed to pier into my soul.

“You saw nothing today. Am I clear” I nodded my head and then he just disappeared without a trace. I walked into my house jumping over a few craters and a few tree branches. I looked inside to see the man now laying there lifeless and bruised and battered.

“H-hello.” a long silence followed and I figured as a healer it was my duty to help this man. I inched closer to him and as I got closer I could feel the immense amount of mana surging off of his body, this man could have easily defeated a level 100 monster. This feeling I have only felt one time before, when I met the adventurer ranked 1.

“Stop boy this is my end there's nothing you can do.” the man spoke in a soft voice seeming to hold back some painful groans.

“It is my job to help you nothing you can saw will stop me.” he let out a little smirk

“Kid, I have been around death my entire life I know this is it for me.” the mans smirk faded and he continued to lay there with eyes just barely open, i could also tell this man was fading.

“What do you need.” he met my eyes and let out a breath

“You don't even know me and you want to help” he said this with a even softer voice, he had just a few moments left

“If I don't help people then who will. what do you need.” this time i got a answer I didn't expect

“come a little closer.” i did as he said expecting him to say something like thank you or something but instead he taped my heart.

“What was that.”

I was suddenly unable to speak, I had just blacked out.
