The Universes, along with Connie and Tosh crowded around a tablet to watch a movie trailer. The new Dogcopter movie was coming to the local theater in 3D, and they wanted to go. Everyone got permission to go from their parents, and they just needed to pack snacks, since Connie couldn't buy any, and figure out a way there, since the theater was on the other side of town. Greg was busy at the wash already, and Connie and Tosh's parents were all at work. Steven suggested taking Lion, if the cat didn't object to six kids on his back.
It turned out he was okay with the load, waiting patiently outside while the children prepared, and when they were ready, laid down so they could board. Once everyone was on, Steven asked to go to the theater, but Lion turned directly to the ocean instead of walking to the roads. He took off towards the water, frightening the children. With one giant leap he jumped and just as it looked like he was going to go into the water, he landed on top, like it was land. Steven voiced his confusion before the great cat roared and opened a portal, immediately jumping through.
The kids held on for dear life as they zoomed through the pink warp stream. When they came out the other side, they were in a cave, and the kids disembarked to take a look around. Tosh and Page went to the mouth of the cave, looking down to see clouds. Relaying this, the kids realized they'd have to wait for Lion to wake back up before getting out. They all moved to the center of the room where a pink hand-shaped column stood on a platform. Since it was pink, the kids determined it belonged to Rose and that Steven should try to activate it. He placed his hand on the pedestal where it immediate was stuck as the room started to glow. The kids took turns trying to dislodge the boy but nothing worked. Page put her hand on his shoulder and the floor in front of them opened up and a collection of swords popped up. Getting an idea, Page, and the others, start poking and prodding other parts of Steven's body, revealing many other weapons and gadgets. They stopped when a giant penny came up. Steven decides that they should be done by now, because if they stay much longer they're going to miss the movie completely, and they won't get to see any explosions. All of a sudden the pedestal stops glowing and Steven is free. The floor opens up one more time to take the penny away, and produce a robot head. Something triggered Page to announce it was a training device, as the walls started to glow and the machine started to whir. one of the faces turned towards Steven and the mouth seemed to power up before throwing a glowing blue ball.
The ball hit the ground in front of Robby and Sophie, splashing a wall of ice on the two preteens. Sophie made her icy trap disappear, while Robbie melted his. The Training head had already spun again and this time the mouth was glowing yellow before it began to spit out another ball. Steven summoned his shield and ran to the twins since the head was still aimed their way. The three of them held the barrier in front of themselves. The ball hit, spreading electricity across the shield, but the twins were able to redirect it back to the front and a bolt shot off into a wall. At that point Lion woke up and forcefully collected the kids and roared another portal into existence. He ran into it and quickly landed with a skid in front of the theater, but just when the portal was about to close, the training head had followed them through, popping free with a red powering mouth facing the kids. The Universes told Connie and Tosh to hide behind Lion and shakily summoned their weapons, Sophie using ice to complete a glove around her hand with the knuckles. The head started shooting off a bunch of fireballs that the kids were able to deflect pretty well, but Steven was slipping. Just then Lion took Connie and Tosh to the boy, where he was standing by Page. His mane started to glow, and the kilt of a sword came out right above his eyes. Steven helped the two humans take it out and Tosh helped Connie to swing it and assist in deflecting the fireballs. Connie lead Tosh in a tennis back hand which deflected the last fireball directly back into the head, making it explode. Thankfully there was little damage to the surrounding area, but the kids agreed that they should tell Bismuth so she could fix what did get damaged. They walked up to the theater, and Steven held the money up to the ticket lady, "Six kids and one lion to see Dogcopter 3 in 3D please." They ended up being the only ones in the theater.
