I went into the back. The blonde was gone and Blake was on his phone. “Did you really tackle Conner to the ground!?” Blake exclaimed as he looked up from his phone. I ignored him and went to my locker. “You do know I'm available. If you want a boyfriend.” I stopped myself from flipping him off. Was he serious? Suddenly De barreled through the door in a flame of determination.
“Jessy! What is this business about you tackling my boyfriends brother. If you wanted him I could have been hooked you up.” I glared at her playfully. This was just like De'andra. “I don't want him. You know I don't date.” I said. She nodded. “We need to get this notion out of your head.” I groaned in response. “I liked it better when Emily was here.” I mumbled. De wagged her finger at me. “No you don't. Without me you would have been wearing jeans and sweating your ass off.” I grinned at her. De'andra knew she was my best friend.
“Anyways Carston and I are going to a party. I want you there and Carston wants Blake there. It's a win win situation.” I reluctantly nodded, sealing the deal. “We're going together, so on your lunch go pick up an outfit.” De commands. I put a hand to my forehead and salute. “Yes ma'am.” De'andra grins and goes out front to man the counter.
“So you're coming to the party?” Blake asked. I merely nodded. Should I tell him I saw them make-out earlier? “Fuck yes! Embarrass him!” My inner self screamed. “You do know I saw you and that blonde chick making out earlier . . . right?” I framed it like a question. “She kissed me.” Blake said shrugging. I rolled my eyes.
“Your break is up. I'm going on lunch so bye.” I felt him grab me by my arm. He pinned me against the vending machine on the wall, and grinned down at me. I pushed him off of me. “Not interested.” I muttered before I left.
