A beat of heavy silence followed the shaky voice, raw in the half lit glow of the television.
“Or an Angel I suppose? I uh-“
The room burst into a glow of white light.
Buck’s windows opened outwards and slammed against the outside of the house, miraculously not splintering into shards of moonlight in the commotion.
A powerful whirlwind swirled around the living room as a figure descended from the ceiling and lowered to the floor.
Buck had to grab onto the back of his couch in order to stay grounded. He screamed in terror as what looked like bands of fire filled the center of his living room. Though upon closer inspection it actually seemed to be, wheels? Buck’s TV flickered into static before rapidly switching between thousands of pictures of eyes. Disjointed audio clips coupled with the eerie imagery sent Buck a very incongruous message.
“Be-” “...Not” “-Afraid...”
“I’m very fucking afraid!!!” Buck yelled in amongst his shouts of inarticulate terror.
Buck looked up at the wheels of fire in confusion, noticing wings beginning to take shape within the spokes. The wings came in a group of six before dividing into four and two and then forming a pair of arms. The light from the horrific figure became so blinding for a second that Buck had to slam his eyes shut in pain.
He blinked, stunned as the light began to fade and a more humanoid form took the wheels’ place. He appeared to be a man with white hair and a mass of shifting bright blue eyes skittering across his face and body. The wheels had not quite disappeared it seemed as one solidified and became a halo behind the man’s horrifically beautiful visage.
