The Prince's Captain

Chapter Fifteen-Part Two

Chapter Fifteen-Part Two

Dec 31, 2020

Theodore pulls the brunet over to where there’s a spot of grass when everyone starts mumbling and moving around, talking amongst themselves and wondering about the soulmates before them. Ares grabs one of the men and drags him over to where they had situated themselves, their arms flush against each other and looking up when the raven haired man and the young man Theodore had noticed before stands over them. They sit in front of them after a few moments of silent staring.

“Theodore, this is Wyatt. He too was given a vision about fighting alongside someone with golden eyes and white hair; I’ve been waiting a long time to introduce him to you.” Ares says to Theodore after a minute, who nods in response before meeting the other man’s eyes.

“It’s a pleasure to finally put a name to a face, Theodore,” he says in his calm tone and Theodore shakes his head lightly.

“Call him Theo.” Tristan murmurs quietly.

“Why Theo?”

“Only Tristan calls him Theodore,” the blond shrugs at Ares’s words, studying the other man closely. He was very similar build to Tristan, tall and broad but didn’t have the same muscle mass as the prince; he quite clearly relied on his magic more than his physical fighting. Theodore would have to change that in time. Wyatt had hair that was so red, it seemed to be on fire when the sun hit it and his eyes were a hazel colour, though they had a yellow tinge to them when in the right light; like his hair. His skin was the same tone and colour as Theodore’s, and the man wore similar clothing to Theodore as well; except he had a large black cloak over his shoulders to fight against the cool wind that blew passed them.

He realised that as he had been sizing up this new person, the three had fallen silent and had been watching for any reaction on Theodore’s face, though he could feel the slight jealousy from his brunette prince.

“Wyatt, it is nice to meet you and please, call me Theo all my friend’s do,” the blond says with a small smile and the young man’s shoulders slump in relief to being accepted. “What magic do you have?”

“I can wield both ice and wind magic though I also have the ability to heal injuries if they aren’t life threatening as well as a small affinity with a power that can help increase someone else’s power,” the man says and with a nod, Theodore turns to the prince to grab one of his hands before turning back to Wyatt.

“I wasn’t aware others could wield more than one element like myself, this is a great surprise!” The blond pauses looking around at the other people talking amongst themselves still before continuing. “Where have you travelled from and why have you decided to help us Wyatt?” Theodore asks with a raised eyebrow when the hazel eyes grow darker.

“I travelled from Kiosis in the North, I have left my home to come and fight for you. The only reason I can give for wanting to help is that my home town was overrun by people like those who have taken yours,” the boy pauses as his hands clench tightly, “They killed my family and slaughtered almost everyone in my home to find me when I had already escaped.”

“They slaughtered everyone?” Tristan’s voice is low and cautious as he could see the tension growing in the man’s shoulders.

“Yes and they tried to hunt me down until it was too late.”

Theodore was about to question him about his words and past when what felt like lightening surged through his and Tristan’s chests forcing both of the young men to topple over and grasp the middle of their torsos. Tristan cried out as Theodore ground his teeth to stop himself from calling out too, trying to focus on getting over the pain though as fast as it came, it dulled to a small ache that spread from their chests down their limbs and into their fingers and toes. When the ache disappeared completely a new feeling arose in the two; Tristan felt like he had warmth flowing through his body as Theodore suddenly felt like his magic was about to burst out of him though as he turned to look at the brunet he was surprised to see his fists encased in ice. The blond wrapped a cautious arm around the brunet to mend the out of control feelings and waited until the overwhelming feeling of his power faded to get the prince’s attention.

“Tristan.” Theodore croaked lightly, watching the green eyes open to see the ice wrapped around his hands and seeing the eyes he loves grow wider and wider the longer he stared.

“What the fuck?”
