I’m Leaf and I have been rushing around all day today, to get some of my college work done by a certain deadline. Today would probably hold many more accidents. I have had already ran into a glass door ~ouch~, put my shirt on backwards in the morning rush, and threw away the wrong papers for my job. At least it wasn’t too important. I was finally done at work for today but as today was so busy I have a armload of stuff to carry as I’m walking everywhere. I decided to go to my local cafe which is connected to a game shop (mainly for people who play D&D), and that way on the walk back to my dorm

As I am opening the door I almost dropped my armload,  which is my computer and papers. I shake my head at myself. “Dummy” I think, before going to a round table with a window view, and setting down my pile. The view isn’t much really, just a parking lot with the backs of other businesses to the parking lot, but it was better than seeing all the people on the inside of the cafe. I turn away from the window moving towards the counter to go order when my foot catches the table leg. I trip and catch myself before falling completely. My face reddened as I looked around seeing if anybody saw me. “Nobody, thank goodness”

As I approach the counter I’m trying to think what I want, but I never really know, just vague ideas. “It has to be a hot drink today, sweet but not too sweet, no chocolate today, but there are still so many options” My mind racing back and forth from what I want and what I don’t. I reach the counter and nobody is there but that’s all right. They know I don’t know what I want yet giving me more time to decide, then I see it, something that I haven’t tried yet.

“A Goblin Cappuccino! I love that name” I said out loud without realizing a first, when someone coming around the corner from the back called out to me as they were still too far away to talk normally. “Is that the one you want then?” I turn to them “Yeah I’m thinking abo-” I stopped abruptly looking at them, they were new, she? was tall and beautiful my body entering gay panic mode “a-a-about it, yeah please um thanks um yeah” I smiled awkwardly dieing inside a little. 

They chuckled, easing my embarrassment a little. “All right, what size?” “Um, a uh large please” “All right and you do want the caramel in it right?” “Y_Yes please” “All right do you have a punch card with you today” My hands shaking as I pulled out my punch card from my wallet, then holding it out, but right before they grabbed it, I dropped it. “Oh I’m so sorry, my hands are shaky and I don’t know why” My words rushing together, blushing again. She shook her head smiling “No, no, it’s my fault, it slipped through my fingers” She used the hole puncher on the card while saying my total, which I paid for promptly, tipping a few dollars as I usually do. “Here is your punch card, just need three more for a free one and what name is for the drink?” “Uh Leaf” “Leaf?” She asked quizzically before continuing. “Oh! I think I heard of you, you're a regular right?!” “uh, yeah I am” “Nice I’ll be seeing you around then, I’ll get your drink prepared now” “ All right, thanks”

I went to my table with all my stuff on it still warm from blushing, before sitting down and rearranging my stuff in a way that I liked, before getting on my computer to work on some of my college papers so later I can be free later without worrying about it. My drink was done quickly and was called out. “A Goblin Cappuccino for Leaf!” I went and grabbed my drink and sat back down for a few hours before gathering my stuff and started walking to my dorm.
