"Thanks again for taking care of him for me," Sam said. It was the night before Sam was supposed to leave and go on his business trip. He decided it was best for him to drop Dave off now so he could tell Daphne what needed to be done. He decided to drop him off at night so that way he could spend the day with him before he left.
"No problem. I could always use the company," She smiled. She was glad that Sam decided to trust her because at least now Cristian has someone to play with in the house rather than wait till the weekend.
"So you know what to do in case of an emergency?" He asked.
"Of course I do, Sam. Don't worry about Dave," She assured him, "He'll be in great care."
"Alright. Well if you need anything, call my friend Elijah. He should be back in a couple of days," He replied.
"Okay," She nodded, "I will."
"Great. You don't know how much this means to me. I'm extremely grateful," He smiled.
"You're welcome. Anything to help a friend in need," She smiled back.
"Has anyone ever told you were an angel?" He asked.
"Not really. They just call me that in bed," She replied. Sam pulled a face at that response while she laughed. She could tell that he was tired of her goofiness at this point.
"Your face," She giggled.
"I'm ready to shut your door in your face and leave," He told her.
"C'mon, Sam. Lighten up," She nudged him with her elbow.
"No. Not when you're making those kinds of remarks," He said.
"And here I thought you would have been used to them by now," She giggled.
"That's what you think," He rolled his eyes. She giggled again with a smile on her face.
"When you get back, I'll keep him for an extra day if you're too tired from your flight," She informed him.
"I'll have to think about that one. I'll miss him too much to do that," He responded. She liked that side of him that was such a doting father to his son. She admired him for that.
"Alright. Just think about it if you'd liked, but that might be my selfishness talking," She said.
"You're trying to hold him prisoner aren't you?" He asked.
"Maybe," She answered.
"Now I'm more inclined to come get him as soon as I get back," He deadpanned.
"Can you blame me? I've gotten attached to him," She replied.
"Well I can say the same for Cristian," Sam smiled as the husky walked around Daphne and towards him. He crouched down and began to scratch him behind his ears.
"Of course you can. Cristian, like Dave, is an angel," She boasted proudly.
"And now she's getting a big head," He muttered to Cristian. The puppy got on his back legs and leaned against Sam's chest to lick his cheek.
"Hush, Sam," She said. He chuckled softly.
"If you ever need me to return the favor, then I'll be glad to do it," He smiled.
"Thanks, Sam. I really appreciate you for offering," She responded.
"No problem. It's my way of saying thank you along with me taking you out," He told her.
"You'll be paying right?" She asked.
"Sometimes I wonder about if you're trying to get a free meal out of me," He answered.
"Maybe, but you're offering so I'm not refusing," She smiled.
"That is true," He agreed.
"Am I interrupting something?" Arabella said from behind Sam. Daphne noticed her best friend standing there with a knowing look on her face. She knew this scene probably looked like something it was not to Arabella and that kind of annoyed her. She would at least like one day where she isn't having to explain that what people think is happening isn't happening.
"Good evening. I'm Sam," The man greeted holding out his hand.
"Arabella. I'm Daphne's best friend," The woman informed him.
"So you're the famous Arabella I've been hearing about?" He asked.
"She talks about me? I hope it's in a good light," She smiled.
"She does. She mentioned you as her beautiful best friend that she thinks of as a sister," Sam responded.
"Really now? I'm surprised she didn't say anything that would lead you to believe that I was crazy," Arabella giggled.
"Oh don't worry. I did," Daphne spoke up.
"Quiet, you," Arabella hissed. Sam chuckled at their banter.
"It was nice meeting you, Arabella, but I have to go," Sam said.
"Where are you off to?" She asked.
"I have a work trip tomorrow," He informed.
"Oh wow. You're a businessman? That's totally the opposite of my best friend's type," She smiled.
"I can already guess," Sam smirked at Daphne.
"Whatever," She rolled her eyes, "What makes you think that a suit-and-tie-type-of-guy isn't my type?"
"We just know," Sam and Arabella replied in unison.
"Shut up," She muttered. The two laughed together.
"I'll see you later, Daphne. Thanks again for your help," He smiled.
"You're welcome," Daphne nodded.
"And it was nice meeting you, Arabella," Sam said.
"You too, handsome," Arabella smiled at him. Sam said goodbye to Dave and Cristian once more before getting into his car.
"So he's the handsome Prince Charming you told me about?" Arabella smirked.
"Shut up," She rolled her eyes.
"Whaaat? I'm just asking a question," She chuckled.
"I see the wheels turning in your head," She eyed he but her suspiciously.
"Can you blame me? You offered to take care of the pet of this guy you've known for three months as if you're his girlfriend," Arabella remarked.
"He needed some help and I offered it like a friend," Daphne said.
"Are you sure you don't see this guy as nothing more than a friend?" She asked.
"He's nothing more than a friend, Arabella," Daphne answered.
"Hm. So you say," She smirked.
"Shut up. You know how I feel about relationships right now," Daphne said.
"So you say," She mumbled. Instead of responding to her best friend, Daphne just rolled her eyes and let her inside as Dave and Cristian trailed behind her.
"Aside from your hunk of a friend, how are things between you and Angel? You guys still bumping uglies?" Arabella inquired, "Although his might not be so ugly."
"First of all, my pussy is pretty, and second, he decided to break it off since he's talking to some girl," Daphne informed.
"What?" Arabella asked in surprise.
"Yeah. He wants us to stop seeing each other because he's really feeling this girl," Daphne replied.
"Good for him, but let's talk about Sam," Arabella smirked. Daphne groaned loudly as some as she said that.
"Why? We're just friends," Daphne grumbled.
"Because he's extremely good looking and incredibly nice too," Arabella answered.
"Yeah because he's a good guy. A good guy that's my friend," Daphne said.
"And a good guy that could also get between those cheeks and show you what's up," Arabella waggled her eyebrows.
"Sam is my friend and he's most definitely not getting between my cheeks," Daphne rolled her eyes.
"You don't know that," Arabella said.
"I do know that, Arabella," Daphne replied.
"Ugh. You're no fun, Daphne," Arabella groaned, "Haven't you thought in the slightest that maybe, just maybe, it would be nice to have him all between those thick thighs of yours? Wouldn't it be nice to have him fuck you nice and slow?"
"That would be nice," Daphne contemplated.
"See-"
"For some other lucky woman," Daphne cut her off.
"Just go ahead and ruin my fun," Arabella mumbled.
"Well you shouldn't be finding joy in trying to make up some ridiculous scenario where I sleep with my guy friend," Daphne said.
"Can you blame me for doing that? You haven't been in a relationship in a while," Arabella responded.
"Because I'm not interested in dating like I've told you a million times," Daphne rolled her eyes.
"I know that, but I want you to at least find a man that will make you happy and give you a soccer team of babies," Arabella explained.
"Who says that I have to have a man for that?" Daphne smirked.
"Girl, are you suggesting to me that you'll get artificially inseminated?" Arabella looked at her incredulously.
"Yeah," Daphne answered.
"You're a mess," Arabella said.
"Well I don't exactly need a man to give me babies. I can just go down to the sperm bank and have them squirt some sperm into my vagina," Daphne murmured.
"Bitch, you're fucking stupid," Arabella laughed.
"I'm just saying that I don't need to be married to have a child. I can just get inseminated," Daphne said.
"As much as I don't give a fuck about that woman, she will have a fit if you do that," Arabella replied.
"Oh god. Don't remind me," Daphne grumbled, "She will have a heart attack if I do that."
"Especially since it's from some unknown donor," Arabella murmured.
"I could always lie though," Daphne remarked.
"And what will you tell your mom?" Arabella asked.
"Well he's a very successful businessman from Germany that I had one night stand with and he has no interest in raising the baby with me," Daphne answered.
"Girl, what the hell?" Arabella asked, "That lady ain't gon' believe that shit."
"Oh what do you suggest I do then?" Daphne asked.
"Say it was a one night stand," Arabella replied.
"She'll disown me," Daphne said.
"Good! Fuck her. I'll support you every step of the way," Arabella told her.
"You can't always be there for me forever," Daphne responded.
"Yes I can. I'm your best friend," Arabella said.
"Thanks, but won't you have your own family to worry about?" Daphne asked.
"True, but I'll be there when you need me," Arabella answered.
"Thanks, Arabella," Daphne smiled.
"You're welcome, but you might want to consider Sam as a baby daddy candidate. He seems like the type to take care of his kids," Arabella said.
"Girl, I'm not about to get into this with you," Daphne waved her off.
Arabella chuckled, "I'm just saying that, that man looks like he would take responsibility for things like his seed."
"I'm sure he does, but I'm not going to experience it," Daphne replied.
"You never know what might happen," Arabella remarked.
"I'm pretty sure that Sam and I will stay friends," Daphne said.
"Hm. We'll see," Arabella smirked. The woman rolled her eyes at her friend.
