I slowly attempt to rub his hair, He then suddenly open his eyes and he slowly lift his head to look at me “Oh, you finally woke up” I said, He didn’t respond and just stare at me. “Lumiere? Let’s go home” I said. He still not answering me, is he half asleep? He then reach out his hand to touch my cheeks, he stare at me and I stare at him as well, I got drowned into his eyes, confused. He suddenly brought his face closer to mine. It’s too damn close. “Oh, Kai” He said, then move his hand to pat my head. He still staring at me, “How are you?” He said and smiled. I’m so confused… He then fall asleep again. What the hell was that…

I decided to call Dave. “Hello Dave? Sorry for waking you up, I kinda need you to drive us home” I said. “It’s ok Sir, Text me the location and I’ll go there right away” He respond. “Thank you” I said and ended the call. I look at Lumiere again “Are you that drunk?” I said to him, he wont answer anyway. I’m totally confused on what happened earlier doesn’t he recognize me? I texted Dave and came here right away. “Thanks for coming here” I said to Dave while he is carrying Lumiere to the car. “It’s my pleasure to help Sir.” He respond and I got into the car as well. Lumiere is beside me, sleeping.

We arrived at my condo, I helped Dave to carry Lumiere to the sofa, Dave left after that. I look at the phone, it’s already 3:32am. I walk to my room to get some pillows and blanket, luckily I got some extra to spare. I help Lumiere to fix his position, since he looks uncomfortable sleeping, I put the pillow on his head and blanket. Kyst called. “Hello?” I answered. “Heya!! Can I come to your house? I got some food for us to eat!” Kyst said, I wanted to sleep but I’m hungry. “Sure, I’ll just send you the location” I said, “Anyway, does Lumiere asleep?” He asked. “Well yeah, we got here not too long ago” I answered. “Oh! Then I’ll see you there!” He said then ended the call,I send him the location after that. I once again enter my room and get the book so that I can continue reading it while waiting for Kyst. I sit beside the sofa where Lumiere is sleeping and started reading the book. Minutes after, Kyst came.

“Do you live alone?” Kyst asked, while putting the foods to the table in front of the sofa. “Yes” I answered. “Don’t you feel lonely? And your place kinda big for one person.” He said and look around. “I’m used to this, I prefer to be alone, for some point” I replied. “So you like to read books? What genre are you into?” He asked while giving me some foods, I take it and open it. “Mysteries, horror but not much since their plot are almost the same” I answered while eating. “What about romance?” He asked. “I don’t think so, pretty much like horror ones. I read a lot in the past but lost interest into it” I answered. “Did something tragic happened on your love life?” He asked again, his question got me off guard. “Not that tragic but there is some, but it’s nothing serious or anything” I answered. “Does Lumiere always drink?” I asked to avoid talking about me. “Hmm.. He rarely drink to be honest, I didn’t saw this coming. He always come home with his senses and all” He replied. “Oh” I said. “Maybe it has something to do with the family gathering” He added. “Why is that?” I asked. “I don’t know either, Lumiere is smart, a good looking guy and have a decent attitude, I actually don’t know what his family’s problem” He said. “Lumiere doesn’t mind what other people think about him.” He added. “He doesn’t mind but he has limits too, I supposed” I said. “Oh, you are right! That maybe it” He said. “Do you try asking him about it?” I asked “Not really, since if he is having trouble on something, he will ask help or he’ll tell me about it” Kyst answered. “I see” I replied, he might bottled up his emotions though.

“And can you lower your voice? Lumiere is sleeping, and aren’t you drunk?” I added. “I didn’t drink much since I need to take care of Redd, I didn’t expect Lumiere to drink so much so I didn’t notice” He said and laugh. “Who’s this Redd? I’ve been hearing his name recently” I asked. “He is one of our friend as well, but we rarely hang out since Redd is a med student” He answered. “He is a relative of Lumiere as well!” He laugh. “Redd love books too! You two might get along!” He added. He really do know how to express himself huh. “Hope so.” I replied. We finished eating and luckily Lumiere didn’t wake up even tho Kyst was so loud. “K~ can I sleep here as well?” He asked.. Again, it can’t be help. “Sure, you are already here anyway. Let me get you something to sleep on” I said “Thank you Kai!” He replied and I enter my room to get some stuffs and give it to him. “Feel free to do what you want here, just don’t knock at my room” I said. “Don’t worry! We won’t bother you!” He said. “Alright” I replied. “Goodnight!” Kyst said and smiled at me. “Goodnight as well.” and entered my room.

I lay down on my bed and checked my phone, wow it’s already 5am. I got a visitor after how many years. I may not look like it but, I really do have fun.

I think, it’s time to be happy again.
